June Dream Cruise Question

Hi! We'll be on the Dream in June of 2020 on a four nighter and we've never sailed in the summer before. Is there any chance that our cruise could become a Star Wars day at sea? Do they do those on the 4 night Dream sailings? Thanks! :yay:

Slim to none.

Or, I'd be VERY surprised. To my knowledge other than Halloween and Merry Time they have not had themed cruises on the Dream. And they don't have to add things in the summer to sell the cruises. The Dream cruises sell pretty well as the 3- or 4-night cruises can be easily tied to a land and sea vacation regardless of time of year. The Fantasy has had more difficulty with her 7-nights during the season between Christmas Break and Spring Break, so enter Star Wars theming.

Very unlikely. All the Star Wars cruises have only been on the Fantasy in the winter. They've already announced the 2020 ones are Jan-Feb. When they first started having them, they were Jan-April, then this year they were Jan-to just the first week of March. So it seems they are doing less of them.

No, Star Wars Day at Sea cruises are exclusive to Disney Fantasy 7-night sailings, while Marvel Day at Sea cruises are exclusive to Disney Magic sailings. Disney Dream sailings are exclusive to way too many first-time cruisers.

Kind of off topic, but what are the pros and cons of sailings with a lot of first-timers?

Pro- you have a good chance of getting what you want in terms of adult dining, spa, etc because there are fewer status cruisers
Cons- the ship feels more hectic because people are trying to fit it all in.

Realistically though, it doesn't make much difference.
