Good afternoon,

We usually go to Disney in late April to mid May, but next year if we go, it will have to be in mod June (June 17-24). How are the crowds at this time of year?? Hopefully its not the summer crush yet, since some schools are still in session.

Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance!!

I asked this question about a month ago, and the concensus seemed to be that we should be prepared for crowds and heat. I will be going June 10-20, and I will be prepared for huge crowds...then if they aren't too bad I will be pleasantly surprised!

By mid-June crowds are starting to get pretty heavy. Beginning Memorial Day weekend, crowds start growing throughout June and more as more schools are finished. The later in June you go, the more crowded it gets. Certainly by the last few days it will be quite crowded.

But we've gone that same week...just go early, use FastPass, and take a mid-day swim!

My wife and I went June 20 to 25 2003. It was incredibly crowded. Lines on popular rides were very long. We used fastpass as much as possible but thre tickets ran out early and often. I had a PS for one dinner. We just winged it trhe rest of the time. We wound up not even getting to eat one night until after midnight at the ASMu food court after returning from first POR and then DTD trying to get into a restaurant. We still had fun but with no kids along. That made a difference.

We were there 6/18- 6/25 this year and it was very hot and crowded. EMH days at MK were beyond words we couldn't walk/move let alone get on a ride. We had a blast and parks were open till 11pm with extra spectro & wishes at 11pm (so two per night). We are heading some week next year 6/16 - 6/23/05. We will probably try to hit MK day after EMH. I really think people don't pay for hopper passes so EMH make the parks crowded all day.
We used plenty of fast passes and rode everything we wanted to multiple times without waiting more than 25 minutes in standby. DD rode Splash Mt 5 times, SM 3x, BTMRR 5x, RNRC 2x, TOT2x, Buxx multiple times, HM 5x, etc.
Parks are doable just do your homework and have a plan.

My husband and I were there June 19-26 for our honeymoon, and it didn't seem any more crowded than other times we've gone (Aug, Oct). I agree with the other posters: go early, use fastpasses, and get dining reservations. Oh, and don't forget your bottled water.
I love going to the water parks right when they open - no waiting for any slides! And, when you're ready to leave after a few hours, the crowds are just rolling in.

For your great responses and advice...we are definitely spoiled by going in May or late April, sooooooo...we may have to rethink our plans for next year. Hate to pull the kids out of school, but would also hate to spend a lot of time grumbling about the heat and waiting in lines :rotfl:

I went last year June 18th for 2 weeks and I am going next June 16th. There were time when it was crowded especially Universals at weekends and fast pass's etc were hours away. If you try and find out less busy days this DOES work. Well it did for me. Expect some crowds and it was pretty hot but plan and I fouund it not to bad.

We're going June 4-11. We've done this twice before. Except for the crowds at MK for Gay Days, it is really manageable, just plan well.
