I will be visiting WDW 6/11-6-21 this is a first time trip for us. How are the crowds like? Is it really hot...I have learned so much from the Dis boards but dont know where to begin at when we get there. Any suggestion would be great. My kids are 15, 13, 9 and are so excited. I would like to have some kind of plan. Being that I am on a budget I figured I would get the 10day plus tickets... I need help planning this.. what should I see and what should I skip..

Thanks
Lilly

Welcome to the DIS  We have visited WDW during June for the past three years and will be there June 2-11 this year. Is it hot and it will rain some every day :umbrella: It generally rains for about 15-20 minutes in the afternoon and then clears up. WDW is very rain friendly so you won't have to stop what you are doing because of a little cloudburst. The first couple of weeks in June aren't extremely busy but the crowds pick up as more and more schools start their summer breaks. If you haven't already purchased a guidebook you may want to get one (or more :earboy2: ) I recommend the Passporter http://passporter.com/ and the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. Your kids might enjoy the Birnbaum guidebook for kids. For our first visit, we used these guidebooks to make our list of "must do's". We never miss Spectromagic, Wishes, Illuminations and Fantasmic! Try to catch each park's parade if you have time. If Spectromagic and Fantasmic are offered more than once an evening, go to the second one. It will be less crowded and you won't waste park time waiting in a herd of humanity. Try to do a couple of character meals; these a great way to meet some of the characters and eat some yummy food. If you are staying onsite, you may want to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours. Drink LOTS of water and use LOTS of sunscreen. Ask any question here--we all love to talk about Disney!!!

Lilly,

We are also planning our first trip to WDW in June (6/20-6/27). I have found valuable information in The Unofficial Guide to WDW. I am a little overwhelmed by the size of it all. Our previous Disney experiences have been at Disneyland; much smaller place. The Guide Book has helped me to feel a bit more informed and of course I am very happy to have found the Dis boards. I am surfing to learn all I can to make this a fun vacation for our family.

Best to you and yours for a great vacation.

Jen

Thanks.. I have heard alot about that book.. I myself am very overwhelmed but so excited..

Thanks for your help...

This will be my first visit in June as well. I assume it will be much more crowded (and warmer!) than when I usually go in the winter, but I'll try to expect a bit more crowds and start my day off earlier I guess!

Any June tips anyone can give would be great.
