So a little background on the trip...

My BFF Aaron was supposed to join me on this birthday trip. But then he got sciatica. Oof, talk about bad timing! So anyway, on one of my previous trips, I brought him back this magnetic Goofy and stuck it on his locker at work. So for this trip, I took Goofy along with me, like he was in Aaron's place. So you may see Goofy showing up in some pictures. And well, that's why. Since Aaron couldn't be there, this was the best alternative I had

Right. Food, well, and drinks. That's what you want to hear about! Well okay, so my plane landed at 10:30, and I was greeted by my Happy Limo driver. I don't remember his name, but his call number was 613. This I couldn't forget, since June 13 is my birthday! He ended up giving me his card, so I'm sure I have his name somewhere, but he was so nice! So we stopped at Albertson's for my grocery stop (where I picked up milk, bananas, pretzel nubs, and some other random stuff), and then he dropped me at the Swan.

Oh people, this place is awesome! I got it at the same price I would have been paying at POFQ, with my CM friends/family discount. So I couldn't pass it up. When I checked in, the guy tried to get me to move to the Dolphin. But well, I knew they had double beds (Swan has queen), and the Dolphin didn't have the fridges installed yet. He told me I'd get a "better room", then telling me that meant a view. View? Seriously? I've stayed at Pop for god knows how many trips, I don't care about view!!! Oh and so glad I stayed at the Swan and didn't switch.

Just so happened that my room was ready for me. So I headed up, plopped Goofy on the bed, grabbed a pic, then changed and headed out to begin the fun!!!

When I went out of the Swan, there was no boat, and no boat on its way, so I walked myself on over to MGM. Oh my goodness, was it ever hot!!! This is what I get for coming in June! Seriously, hotter than when I've been in August. Here's a couple pics I took on my walk over

And then, I finally arrived! I would have made my first stop the Tune In Lounge, but well, I saw on the tips board that Toy Story still had Fast Passes left...so I hightailed it over there, got me a FP (which wasn't good til 7:55-8:55...good thing I was spending the day!!), and then made my way to my favorite place....

Tune In Lounge, alcohol, 6.11.09

Right, so after grabbing myself a FP for Toy Story, my only priority was to go to the lounge to see Dave!!!!

Ah, my favorite place. And when I got inside, Dave happened to be running into the back. So once I found out he wasn't going on break, I mosied on over to the bar and grabbed myself a seat...once one opened up! I'm telling you, lots of people! Most waiting on tables, but a bunch also just eating at the bar. Anyway, some people left and I got a seat on Dave's side (there were seats on the other side, but hey, Dave is my guy!), and so....I ordered the usual...Grandma's Picnic Punch....of course!!!

As I was finishing up that drink, a family was eyeing my seat, so I told Dave I'd like one to go, and that I'd be back later. So he gave me one to go, minus glow cube, and I dumped it into my Disney mug, as any good Diser would do

The plan was to head over to Star Tours, but sheesh, the line was about 30 minutes long. Sorry, not gonna happen! Then I figured I'd try to the Rock'n'Rollercoaster on the single rider line. Again, line way too long. I'm sorry, but I'm here way to often to wait on lines! LOL! So it just so happened that there was a Beauty and the Beast Show starting at 12:45, so I scooted myself on in there. Love this show! See it at least once every time I'm down! I'd love to show you pics, but that might be off topic. Maybe I'll attempt a regular Trip Report for this trip. Although, I usually start those, then end up fizzling out. Ah, we shall see.

Anyway, after the show, I headed back to the Tune In, where I got me some grub. I had arranged for an ADR at around 3pm, but well, they told me my waiter Richard wasn't working. So yeah, I don't do a meal at the 50's without him. So I decided on...


Tune In Lounge, lunch, 6.11.09

First of all, as soon as I came in, Dave got me another Picnic Punch. Cuz I was dehydrated from running around in the Florida sun and heat, of course! Oh sheesh and at some point, I had gotten myself a birthday button, since my bday was coming up in a couple of days!

Right, let's show you that Picnic Punch!

Oh so good! This is so my favorite drink anywhere! And yeah, since I already have so many glow cubes, Dave knows to skip that, and save me some money too!

I also took a pic of some part of the menu. Maybe the drinks? Probably

And for my meal, I got the Stacked Sandwich - Turkey only. No mayo, add mustard. With side salad instead of fries. This is a good old standby, and never fails to satisfy

On my way out of MGM, I took some pics of the Star Wars Weekend sign, since this was something my friend Aaron was really looking forward to. I'm so so sad that he had to miss it!

I had originally planned on staying the whole time at MGM, but it was so crowded, that I decided I may as well head over to Epcot to see me some Off Kilter. Cuz I love those guys.

So when I was leaving the park, there was a boat. Here was the line in front of me

And well, I didn't really wanna take the boat all the way around, since it stops so many places, so I got off at the Swan/Dolphin and walked to Epcot from there. Happy to say, yes, I did beat the boat. Some shots along the way

Once I got to Epcot, Cinderella was standing there, with literally no line! So I went up to get my picture.

Ah, I love Disney!!!
