I can tell you when I looked at the menu at Jiko I thought... NO WAY... too weird for me. But, a friend of mine loves it and I have to say when we went in May... I LOVED IT!! I am a simple meat and potatoes kind of girl... and they had one of the best Filets I have EVER had! We are going again in November, I am making my family go! I had the Creamy Spring Onion Soup which was AMAZING, then I had the Filet with Mac and Cheese but keep in mind... you have to request the mac and cheese, it doesn't come with it automatically any more, then I had the cheesecake for dessert! So... here are the pics of my meal! Just in case you wanted to see! :goodvibes

We love Jiko! It truly has something for everyone! Even my picky Meat and potatoes DH has been able to find something to enjoy!

We ate at Boma and HATED it. After lots of hemming and hawing, we decided to give Jiko a try a few years ago. It was AMAZING! The food and service were exemplary. It is definitely a slower pace (don't expect to be getting in and out and back to the parks), but not in a where-the-heck-is-my-server kind of way. I love Jiko, one of my top 10 restaurants at WDW.

I too looked at the menu and thought I'd hate it. We went while on a trip with the inlaws...they picked it and I was bummed about going. But, I loved it...it was delish! I'd love to go again, but I am cheap and hate to waste 2TS on any place. We always do 1 2TS place per trip, but it kills me.

Thanks for the responces, I'm going to give it a try, I felt that way about AP now that has become one of my on the list ADRs for every trip :)

We enjoyed Jiko when we stayed at AKL. Otherwise, I feel like it takes such a long time to get to it. Hubby and I are super picky and we loved our dinner there. The filet was wonderful!

If you enjoy Artists Point, CA Grille, Narcoossee's and Citrico's - then Jiko should be on your radar to try at least once.

I'm a Foodie and have never been, but I plan on going when we stay at Animal Kingdom in 2012.

We've eaten at Jiko, and Boma many times. On our last trip, we tried Sanaa....for us, this is our new favorite. The decor, food, service were great.....and the view is amazing. Being able to watch the animals on the savannah while you eat -- truly a great dining experience!
