June 8, 2015 Alaskan cruise on the Wonder

Hi we just made reservations for this cruise. We have a very large group going. For almost all of us its our first cruise. Me, DH, 3DSis, 2DBIL, my parents, my BIL parents and BIL grandma, DD15, DS13, DN14, DN13, DN11, DN9, and possibly my BIL sis, her DH and 2 DS 6 and 4 I think. I am a little worried about my son since he is the only boy in a group of 5 girls (N is niece for all of them). If my BIL sis comes it will add 2 boys, but they are so much younger they won't really be hanging out together. I am so excited! Any tips for a first timer would be appreciated. Also I wanted to make FE's for everybody, does anyone have the dimensions of the space they hang in?

Hello all! This is our second Disney Cruise. Our first was to the Bahamas. We would love to join in on the Fish Extender exchange. I have already purchased many items!! That just shows you how EXCITED I am about it! We have 2 kids. Our daughter Emily is 12 and our son Ryan is 8. Neither one of them have any food allergies. We will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary onboard. Looking forward to meeting our fellow shipmates! We are traveling from Austin Texas.

So how does this FE thing work? I don't see our name on the list above. Do we list off our names and ages for the kids? This is our first cruise and I think the kids would love participating.

Hi Mo! We're not doing FE this time. We participated in our last 2 cruises but for those I had all summer to prepare. This time around it's been such a crazy school year and there's no way I could be ready in a few weeks. But don't think I didn't consider it! ;-)

Mo I think we should consider "closing" the list this Saturday and just going with those who give us their room numbers by that time. The June 1 cruise closed their FE group a month ago (to give everyone enough time to get/make the gifts and not have to keep going back and getting/making more as more people add themselves!...or just as bad end up with tons of "extras" because people who were interested change their mind and do not list their room numbers.)

So far we have 4-5 confirmed FE rooms participating, which while not a large group, would still make for a fun time for the kids.

If a bunch of people want to do FE after our group closes they could alway start another group (again, what June 1 did.....)

Fish Extender Group:
It looks like our previous list keeper hasn't been on DIS since February, so I thought I would create the FE list because it would be so sad if our cruise didn't get to do this!

I created a Google Doc spreadsheet that anyone can add to. I tried to list everyone who has expressed an interest, so please fill in the rest of the info if you see your name on the spreadsheet. If your name isn't there, please add it. I will close out this FE Group on May 16. I will assign delivery dates when we know our final count, unless we have a really small group!

Just the kids in our group are participating in the FE. We have 6 boys, three of which are 4yrs, 8, 10 &11. The three girls in our group are 4, 7&9.

Yes, one gift from our entire group! Thanks for asking. This is our first cruise. I've tried reading about the gifts, etc but wanted to clarify...we need to bring a small gift for each person listed on the spreadsheet, right? We leave them on the door clip/hanger on the day you assign us? Do we put them in a bag if there are multiple people in the room? Are the adults listed participating? Thanks so much for your help!

You got it! The adults listed on the sheet are participating. It does NOT need to be anything big just a disney theme gift or something that could be useful on the trip/cruise. feel free to hit me up with any other questions. ( this is my first cruise but I have done wayyy to much research so I may actually know lol )

The FE group is now closed!! I am so excited!!! I am already done with our bags, CANNOT WAIT to give them out We have 2 rooms per day giving besides the first day, 54 participants in total!! wooohooooooo

Omg! Your bags are packed already?! It just hit me that in 19 days we will be on the airplane... Usually I feel so prepared for trips but this time I think I'll be running around last minute!

For the kids, how dressed up do they need to be and is Disney's dreSs up really enforced?

We are definitely not a dress up family so this will take some effort!

We have the late dinner seating... How about others?
