June 8, 2010 WONDERful 5 Day Key West Cruise

We had soooo much fun, we totally forgot about the meet until it was too late but I hope you all had a great time!!

Thanks soooooo much for the great gifts. We did rebook on board & we are taking the kids next time. Christmas present so shopping is done for them. Sorry but Mike & I were asleep when the meet & greet was going on. too much traveling that day. Question did anyone hear Captain Gus make his announcement about a stateroom on the last night? What was that about?

We're back too and had an amazing time on this cruise!!! Same here, went by the Promenade for the Dis Meet and it was almost empty...I feel bad that we didn't meet more of you! But it was great to meet Beth, Mandy and Kellie. Hope you all had a great time!!! We missed being part of the FE group but thanks for the gift (from Mike and Eileen I think!) left on the table outside our door!!

I always have big intentions to write a trip report but it just never happens..I think I might just post a mini report with my thoughts and observations on things. So as I sit here at my desk at work I still feel like I am on the ship!! That is so strange! Anyone else still have that "ship feeling"?

Hey I wondered what that announcement was on the last night too!! Very strange, totally woke me up out of a sound sleep! (guess it was supposed to!!)

Anxious to hear how others felt about the 5 night cruise...?? I thought it was perfect. Still not enough time to do everything I wanted to do but I am ok with that! We did the 7 night cruise last year and of course I loved it but actually the 5 nights was just better for me somehow. Maybe I was just less stressed with packing, etc this time.

Anyway, welcome home to those of you who are! What a great trip!

Hi hope everyone had a great cruise. thanks for all the nice gifts we got lots of great ideas like writing the room numbers on the bags. We apologize if we missed anyone on the fish extender list. We left our room number list in our Jeep in the parking lot at the pier. ds and I went on a scavenger hunt so to speak looking for fish extenders we started from deck 8 and worked our way down to deck 2. I want to thank Mandy and Paul for their help in a few room numbers we missed. we did make it to the meet and greet and met Mandy and Paul we did get to say hi to a few others as the cruise went on. We too were wondering about that announcement on the last night woke us all up too. We did book a dummy date while on board. Mike

it happened on our deck. We heard someone yell help and by the time Clinton left our cabin to see what was going on the response team was there w/the heart defibrillator. He must have had a heart attack. they took him to the first aid area and he stayed there till we docked and was taken to the hospital.

I opened the door and saw two officers running down the hall. Shortly after was the captains announcement and a few minutes later they took the lady down the hall on a gurney. I too hope she is OK - not a way to end such a great trip.

we didn't see into the room. don't know why I assumed it was a he? I guess the bring the heart difips just in case? Anyway, I hope she is well. The crew the next morning said he was, but they might have to say that?

Hi everyone!!!! Just arrived from my vacations... We stayed a couple of days in WDW. Having major withdrawal problems, thou. Thanks for all the FE... Love them all. I think there are 2 rooms that didn't receive my gifts (because of the change of rooms) I left the gift with their names so maybe they receive them. Couldn't go to the Promenade Lounge the first night. I was in my room with a terrible migraine (thank God, that was the only time I had it).

I have to say that this has been the best vacation EVER... My daughters had so much fun. I even cried when I saw Dreams...

We just got home from our trip yesterday. We added a few days in Disney World. Thank you to everyone for the great FE gifts. All of you had wonderful ideas. I didn't think to put my name on our gifts, but hope everyone received them. We did the luggage tags and picture frame magnet. Goofygrl, I did not know about your room change until after I had already delivered all of mine. I placed them on the floor outside your old door since I did not see a fish extender. I hope you saw them there. If not, someone received luggage tages with the initials of your family on them. LOL We had a great time on our first Disney cruise and loved participating in the FE. Thanks again to all of you!!!!

I thought that by posting as soon as we found out (10:30 on the morning we left for our flight at 12!), adding an extra label to our gifts and delivering the first morning, the message would have gotten out, guess not! We got 3 or 4 gifts from the exchange in all. Looks like another cabin got some nice stuff!

We got 3 or 4 gifts from the exchange in all. Looks like another cabin got some nice stuff!

sorry you missed the great gifts! I'm afraid we don't open the gifts until the last night, it's kinda like a top off for the cruise. thats whe I kinda panicked about your FE's! I know most of us left a day or more earlier and I did not have access to the boards. sorry if there are any hurt feelings

Hey Guys

We got home yesterday after an AM-AZ-ING holiday. We loved the Cruise, and had so much fun. Thank you to everyone for the lovely FE gifts, some of you are so creative, it was lots of fun wondering what we would find in them

We too completely forgot about the 'meet', but we wandered into the Promenade Lounge anyway, and thankfully Mike approached us to see if we were there for the meet It was funny because we seemed to run into Mike, Eileen and Pat everywhere .. on the ship, at Key West and Castaway Cay too

I hope you all enjoyed the cruise too. Paul took some lovely photos, so I will be doing a trip report (eventually ), so I will post a link on here when I do

Shame we didn't run into all of you, but it was great to meet those of you that we did

Well, we're finally back after doing the B2B and some days at WDW.

We too missed the meet though we walked by. Didn't see anyone there so figured we were too late for it.

I think we got the updated room as we waited till later in the cruise to do the FE and so we saw the change on the FE gift we got

We had a blast on the cruise and in large part this was thanks to ksloane. As luck would have it we ended up sitting together at dinner (what are the odds of that??) and our daughters hit it off wonderfully. They played a lot together and Hannah was soooo incredibly sad the last night. She misses Cameron a lot!

I didn't care much for Key West, though the butterfly farm there was very nice (much nicer than the one on St Thomas and St Maarten).

I'm trying to scan in the navigators but I need to install some more software. Once I find it I will hopefully get them up.
