Do we have an "unofficial" count for the FE? I'm leaning towards doing all cabins, but not if its up to 50, lol.

Some folks wanted a limited number of cabins while others wanted to do everyone, so we have it set if you only want to participate with a limited number of cabins, then indicate that and that's the number you'll be assigned. It may be that you receive from everyone, but you're only obligated to the number of cabins you sign up for. The majority of cabins signing up are for all cabins but I don't think we were even up to 35 at the last time I looked. Also remember that FE, especially for overseas cruises, don't need to be elaborate - just something for fun and spreading a little extra magic among your fellow cruisers.

Castaway811- feel free to just post with 6, 7, 8, 9,. 10 to get your post count to 10. I would never recommend that elsewhere on DIS but here you can since there's a specific purpose And it's not like we have a lot of traffic. It looks like your post count right now is at 5.

Trying to make plans for sea days and feel like the even would be the first sea day to allow time to "promote" DVc to other guests.

So we bought our Edinburgh Castle tickets yesterday and now I find out that the day we'll be there is the Queen's birthday so the cannon salute will be at noon instead of at 1 PM and I bet that also means it will be super crazy busy down at the castle that day. I'm glad we went ahead and pre-purchased the tickets so we don't have to wait in line. We did the print-at-home option, too, so we don't have to find a will-call window.

Cindy - we were just going to take the transportation into the royal mile and walk around. Do you advise against this now that it is a special day?

You will be fine, most of the celebrations are taking place since yesterday (her actual birthday) until June her official birthday in London. It will just be a different timing of the cannon, most likely not more crowded than a usual day and no other events.

so used to planning everything thought it would be nice to wander on our own. Most tours that offer free time is barely enough time to eat.
