June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

Hard to do....

I know I will become excited.. it is just really hard to make that final payment... and seeing that charge hit my card kinda takes my breath away! 109 days until it becomes worth it...:earsgirl:

I know what you mean. It was especially hard for me because it sealed the deal that my DS (almost 19) will not be joining us on this trip.:sad1: I'm sad for the three of us that will be cruising because we will miss him so much. I don't feel sad for him because he will be heading to Switzerland for a few weeks with 11 friends. It's probably the last time they will have this opportunity. The two vacations overlap. Then we will have about a month together before he heads off to college. The children have grown up so fast. My DH says I have to let go. I tell him that I never signed up for that part, so no deal.;)

Wow, pretty much the same for us:thumbsup2
My DS (18) will be graduating June 18th and wants to stay home with his friends:confused3

He'll be staying at a friend's house while we are gone, but I have not yet taken him off our DCL reservation (I'm still hoping he changes his mind):sad2:
This cruise was suppose to be his first trip to Palo:guilty:

So, I am "letting go", but I don't have to like it;)

Ahh ... how exciting for him and how sad for you! I agree with you ... don't ever let them go ... much to precious no matter what age or size! Mine are still little but my son is becoming more independant at the age of 11. Breaks my heart......

:sail:

I tried to go in to enroll us in the FE for the 6/23 Fantasy cruise, but it says I don't have access? Am I doing this right? I have a DS, Benjamin, age 7 and DS, Nicolas, age 4. I'm already working on my FE gifts! I would love, love, love to participate. Please let me know!
Thanks!!

I'm sure somebody will be along to help you out and get you signed up. It's a lot of fun, and I'm sure your kids will love it!

We're finally paid in full. I just wish I had our excursions figured out. Gotta get that done before this weekend!

It worked!!! Thanks so much!! I just signed up! Please let me know if I didn't do it right! I can't wait! My boys are going to be so excited when they see the surprises! I need to order a FE and get working on my exchanges! (might be stealing some cute ideas that I saw shared on here!)

Absolutely!!!! I share your excitement as well and find it very hard to concentrate without letting my thoughts slip to this trip! pirate:
I will send you an email once the FE List closes out after April 9th to let you know all the details. Good luck with the planning... sometimes I think that is the best part! :boat: or at least holds me over until June 23rd!

The last total Stacey posted on FB was:

TOTAL: 45 Cabins 78 Adults 68 Kiddies

But the cutoff isn't until April 9th.

Getting really excited. :cheer2: Complete trip coming together. Week in Orlando before the cruise, golfing and playing. Then on to the Fantasy!!:dance3: Can't wait until March 25th when we can book excursions. Snorkeling here we come:woohoo:

Still working on PIF. Its going to take some creative financing and since I waited until the last minute, looks like I'm not going to be able to take advantage of my new Gold status. Early booking starts this Sat and not sure if I'll PIF by then.

And for the life of me I just can't come up with an FE gift. I haven't signed up yet because I needed to make sure we would make it on the cruise. Now I'm not signing up yet because I just can't think of anything. Don't want to do any of my past gifts. But I know DS will be disappointed if we don't play.

This was going to be Alex's first trip to Palo too. And I thought he would enjoy some of the adult comedy shows. He would like to go with us but he can't be in two places at the same time. Fifty-two weeks in a year and both trips overlap. :confused3

 Enjoy this time together. It floors me how quickly the time goes by.

I think I have it figured out what we want to do and it should work with our port times. Happy planning.

We have not decided on any excursions yet, or any Palo dinning, we may just be winging it. There of course will be visits to Margaritaville of course.

Is a Disney Visa an option:confused3 I think they let you pay for a DCL cruise with no interest for 6 months:confused3 You'll probably be able to get what you want in the long run, but shame not to be able to use the gold status:hug:

Only cruised with you once before so a repeat FE gift sounds fine to me;)

At least yours has a great trip as an excuse. Mine just doesn't want to miss the graduation parties with his friends:rolleyes:

I was looking forward to Palo with Andrew because he is such a "foodie". He really loves to try new food, eating things like caviar, mussels, chicken hearts:scared: Even my DH is not as adventurous:laughing:

:thumbsup2 gotta stop in Margarittaville:dance3:

Repeat FEs are never a problem with us. We just enjoy the fun and anticipation regardless of what is given!;)

hehe, its not that I was worried that people wouldn't want repeat gifts, its just that I didn't feel like giving the same things again.

But I spent some time on the Homemade FE thread and I think I know what I'm going to do.
