months to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Talk about sticker shock :confused3 made the airline reservations its been about 4 years sense we last flew. The room before the cruise at the Port Orleans the day before and the rental car are all arranged too, so we are all set there. Now the question what excursions :cheer2:

Did anyone else on GTY status get their room assignments already? I booked with DU, and I was floored when I got an e-mail from my agent with my room number tonight. :thumbsup2 Now to wait 8 months...

Just checked the website and our three are there too.

Something we cannot do without on this cruise is a room tour. We did it on the Trans-Atlantic Cruise and it was great. This cruise we need to do the room to see all of the new rooms.

I usually get the best airfare from DFW about 60-90 days beforehand. I have been keeping an eye on the flights but they are just not that great. On that note, who the heck gave Southwest the "low cost carrier" moniker. They are at least as expensive as the legacy airlines, the airport is a lot farther away AND we have some riduclous thing called the "Wright Amendment" which means SW has to stop at a neighborhing state before continuing on. It's fast-but a huge pain.

ITA Coral! They are no longer "low cost"! They have the no baggage fee thing going for them, though. I'm hoping AirTran has some decent rates when they come out.

I've been checking airfare from here and the prices are staying pretty steady around the $400 mark. Seems no matter where you fly too from MSP, that is about the standard rate now. Hoping prices drop a little bit, but you can never tell :confused3

Southwest is scheduled to release fares for the June timeframe on Nov 13th. :surfweb: As for Air Tran they are now owned by Southwest so I would suspect the same fares from them as Southwest.

Yikes! That is really high! Are you, Katie and the girls planning a WDW trip prior to the cruise?

I didn't know they were owned by SW. Well, Allegiant is another low cost option for us, but we would have to drive 2 hours to fly out with them. Still not too bad if we will save a considerable amount.

If we fly Delta, we can probably lower the airfare by using miles, but then we all end up with separate reservations. Last March, Delta moved our seats all over the plane and we didn't notice until we flew out, so we had to scramble to find seats where the girls would be with one of us. I believe the plan is to fly out a few days early (as airfare might be cheaper), but I am not sure we have decided (ie....Katie hasn't told me yet) if we are going to do WDW or go hang out at the beach. Are you guys hoping to get to WDW pre-cruise?

I started reading the main Disboard trying to figure out the whole DCL thing again, I can't believe it has been 5 years since we sailed with them. There is so much I have forgotten, it is going to take me awhile to catch back up.

Rob has been telling me all along that he doesn't think he can get any more time off of work. So, I thought WDW pre-cruise was out of the question. BUT, the other day he "hinted" towards wanting to do at least a day at WDW. So, I'm really not sure now. I guess it will also depend on the cost of flights, etc. I hate to be so close to WDW and not spend any time there :(

I can't believe how quickly the time is flying.

I guess it is time to start filling Bob in on the plans for the trip :rolleyes1

Actually, we have the time off of work but no set plans yet.
