June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

We are doing an Eastern itinerary (St Maarten, St Thomas and CC) next Saturday on the Magic. We are very excited. :yay::yay:

OH, I just realized that it is in your sig :headache:
Aren't I the observant one:rolleyes:

Haven't been on a 7 day Magic yet, so looking forward to hearing how yours goes:thumbsup2

We loved the Eastern Magic cruise we did a while back. Have fun!!

Thanks much! We are looking forward to being back on the Magic for one last time before the Fantasy. We are very excited and have a great crew of DISsers joining us. :cool1::banana: Steph5 is also joining us for a week on the Magic in Paradise.

If my daughter doesn't hurry up and tell the grandkids about this cruise I am going to be in such trouble. We were just in WDW for four days of Food & Wine and I don't know how many times I almost slipped and those times that I did slip that the kids just didn't pick up on. Now if I can only hold my tongue till Christmas I'll be OK. She has a scavenger hunt planned, the same way we told them about our first Disney trip over 25 years ago. Even using the same train ornament we used to hold the first instruction in 1985.

Food & Wine Half Marathon now is done. Heather and I were a relay team - me 5 and her 8 miles and Nicole ran the whole 13. One piece of advice, start this kind of thing before 64. At the end I was really questioning if I was out of my mind and didn't realize that circle at Animal Kingdom was that long. As always Food & Wine was great - some new favorites (Great lobster claw at American Adventure and a new Hawaii kiosk) and alot of old favorites returtned (Germany, Belgium, Austrailia, and South Aftrica). Lost count of the new wines Dave and the girls tried - but I think a new New Zealand one will be added to our regular buying list.

We were at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday morning October 1st - with all the other crazy Disney nuts celebrating the 40th.

All and all it was a great annual four day event for the family.

Love the picture. Hope the rain clears up for the sailaway party. No matter what, have a wonderful trip.

Even raining it's a great trip:cool1:
Our first cruise the sailaway party was moved indoors due to rain.
Love the pic too:thumbsup2

While on the Wonder, I found out that our Stateroom Host, along with our of SPA consultants and nurse all just got their postings to the Fantasy. They'll be shipping out to the UK for training in Feb, then on to Germany.

Thanks for the update & posting the pics. I hope these areas will help alleviate some of the overcrowding by the pools? :crowded:

Hmmmm :scratchin, I'm not seeing any bar at this new Adult pool. Is it BYOB? I make a mean sangria & rum punch. Just sayin......

Good to know they'll be some experienced CMs on board:thumbsup2

More details have been announced on the changes to deck 12 on the Fantasy. There will be a water play area, a splash pool for the kids and another adult only one.

Looks like they were listening with regard to the pool complaints...thing is I'm not a pool person, but...that splash area looks like fun:woohoo:

So, is that sangria and rum combined or separate drinks????
I'm a sangria fan:cloud9:
But I don't mind rum punch in there too:rolleyes1

I was just looking at the picture of the family splash pool area again, and it looks like there are 'private cabanas' to the side (with the brown curtains). If they are accurate, I wonder if it will be an added fee to use those or first come first served?

Hmmm. Interesting!
