June 22 2008 Magical Mexican Riviera Cruise

Howdy fellow DISers,
We're doing the last-minute cruise thing, and can't believe they actually found space for us on this one. It's been 3 years since we cruised, but have managed to pack in 5 DCL cruises before this one. Hopefully, some excursions (and a PALO res or two) will open up, but it'll be fine to just be setting sail again! We were on the first Mex cruise in '05, and had an absolute blast! Highly recommend the zipline canopy tours in PV! Anybody going to be wearing lime-green shirts, or is that 'old school?'
Thanks, and see you all soon!
Buzz, Lola, Megan (DD-almost 12), and Jay (DS-10)

Good to know that there are more people coming on the ship with us. Thanks for the info on the PV zip line, I have family doing it...not us though!:( The DK's are too young. Oh well, it will leaves something for next time! Glad to have you aboard!:cutie:

My family and I are guessing that our cruise is going to get the premEAR of the new Wall-E movie. It opens on June 27th, and Disney is usually good about showing their new releases onboard.

Just another fun thing to look forward to!

I read on another thread somewhere that when they were loading the ship in FLA. they saw a Wall*e box being loaded, so here's to keeping our fingers crossed.popcorn:: I'm still going to call the week prior to find out for sure what movies are going to be shown.popcorn:: When we were on in 2005 they premEARed Herbie at a midnight showing. So I bet we get wall*e:banana:

I have too much stuff!!!! How is it going to all fit:scared1: Any one else having the same problem??? HELP! Too excited!:yay:

I have toomuchstuffitis too! I'm buying a new suitcase and we'll be packing our 'cruise only' clothing in it (suits, dresses, skirts, dress shoes)

Cruise Docs arrived today!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I feel like I have a problem...I am completely obsessed!::yes:: I think about every little detail, every little day!:scared1: I talked to my DSIL 3 times today coordinating our DD's outfits...we are hiding lots from our DH's:bitelip: Hopefully they won't catch on! So glad you got your docs!

You can see the Magic today in Cabo!! The Web site is:
www.cabovillas.com

It's less than 20 days now.

Did y'all see that storm is over Puerto Vallarta today, hopefully we will have good weather for our week.

I think I going to follow the advice I read from one person about putting back half of what you get out to pack, you won't need it. That will leave room for souvenirs or be a good excuse to buy something new on the trip.

For those who were anxious to hear which movies we'd have, here is the run-down, straight from DCL Reservations:

College Road Trip
Dan in Real Life
Enchanted
National Treasure II, Book of Secrets
Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End
Ratatoille
Step Up II
Chronicals of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Game Plan
Underdog
Wild Hogs
...and...

Yes, we will see the World (and floating) Premiere of
Wall*e

Now go and pack (or wait until the 21st, like me).

-Buzz

Thanks for the info! Can't wait to pass it on to the rest of the family...as far as packing goes... put half of it back???:scared1: That would be too easy!

Okay, I haven't posted in awhile but...I got my docs yesterday. I have offically checked out mentally at work. I can't think of anything else other than sitting by the pool (any one of the three) with a margarita!:cool1:

Oh I hear you fellow cruiser. I have cruise-itis BAD! Quiet Cove hot tub is where I want to be!

Gee...did everyone already board the ship or something? :cool2:

I'm trying to track down all the last-minute supplies: party poppers/silly string (for sail-away party), soft-sided cooler with 'medical supplies', pirate wardrobe accessories, an over-door shoe holder (although last time we brought one we didn't use it), sunscreen, floppy straw hat, sandals, bathing suit. Did I forget anything? Oh yeah....DINERO!

Dinero? What's that? I just give the nice people my magical card and beverages just appear. (At least I like to keep that belief alive...until the final bill arrives!)

I have the cardboard box out in the middle of the floor and my daughter and I keep adding things in. I still have a shopping list to get through, too.

Oh, I can't wait!

I want to know where you "tracked down" the dinero, I want to shop there! LOL! I am pretty much done. I found a Wal-mart gift card I didn't know I had so I will go Friday and get anything else I need (or want for that matter). I had no idea what Ds (age 12) was going to wear for formal night as he outgrew everything he had but went to sears and got a nice suit for $38. He looks so cute. He tried it on said he liked it and then said "OMG now I will have to take pictures huh?:rotfl2: " Like he wasn't going to have to before but I am glad he realizes it.:rotfl2:

Have fun everyone--we were supposed to be on this sailing-in a cat 1--but had to change our plans--seeing all the posts is making me wish we were still going
