June 21, 2011 - The Wonder breaks the Alaskan icebergs!

What a great way to spend a Friday afternoon at work - reading up on FE stuff and everything else I need to catch up on.

I'll propose this to the wife tonight and see what she thinks. Of course being from Wisconsin, we'll try to stay away from all Green Bay Packers stuff.

Is anyone doing the pre-excursion trip with Rocky Mountaineer? We are. That adds another 4 days of clothes to our luggage now...

Jerry

Oh cheese curds are great! But I highly doubt they'd be any good almost a week old not in the fridge. I just have to figure out how to sneak a case of some good local micro brews out to the ship... Or everyone just gets sausage.

Ok, so we just joined DISBoards today.

We're on the June 21st sailing as well.

What's this FE list and what is it all about?

Thanks!

Jerry

Welcome! We're in Iowa now but used to live in Watertown, WI. Can't wait for June!!:woohoo:

Hi - I lived in Pearland for 45 years - then moved to Alvin to get out of traffic.
Graduated from PHS.

We actually live in Shadow Creek Ranch which is zoned to the Alvin ISD. Understand about the traffic. For us, living off 288 is convenient to work.

Are you all flying up the day before? We're flying to Vancouver Monday on Continental. We're really getting excited about our first cruise and looking forward to taking part in the FE gift exchange.

Again, welcome to the board.

Welcome! We're traveling from Texas too!

I just have not had time to get involved with this thread, although I enjoy checking in occasionally. However, I did have to post as we are another family of Texans who are on this sailing. We live in Friendswood so we are close to both Pearland and Alvin. Just wanted to say "Howdy!"

We actually live closer to Manvel but it is zoned Alvin. We are flying up the day before, we let disney do our flights so we are flying up on Delta - leaving IAH at 7 am - arriving in Vancouver at 12:18 after an hour layover in Salt Lake City. Then headed to the Pacific Rim Hotel.

Looks like Texas will be well represented on this cruise!:cool1:
We're flying up on Saturday and staying at the Pan Pacific. Vancouver looks like a great place to visit. Although the air fare was crazy, I'm still glad we are cruising out of Vancouver. So looking forward to meeting everyone! Are we going to try to have a meet and greet on the ship??? Joanne

All you Texans, I just have to say I LOVE:love: the jalapeno peanut brittle I found at an airport shop at DFW.:flower3: Believe me when I say there is nothing like it here in the Pacific Northwest. FE item, perhaps?:worship::thumbsup2

Hi everyone,
Posted a long time ago, but thought I would say hi again as it has been so long. Just got through reading all the old posts. I am hoping there will be lots of teens on board for my kids.

cabin #7528
me, Julie
hubby, Rob
dd, Amanda 16

cabin #7530
my dad
my mom
my son, Ryan 14

Taking my parents on this cruise. We have connecting rooms and aren't they lucky, I gave them my son, too! This is my families' 3rd Disney cruise and my parents 1st.

We were going to zipline in Vancouver, but decided to do it in Juneau through Disney because I have lots of Disney Rewards Points through my Disney Visa card.

Can't believe how close it is getting! Although i will get a Disney fix June 4-7 as a friend and I are taking 5 girls to Disneyland.

Wanted Palo for 4pp on formal night, but was only able to it get the first night. What do you think the chance are of changing it on board?

Can't wait to run into all of you on the cruise!

I am hoping to add my DD18 to our brunch ressie because I couldn't do it online. Fingers crossed.

You are awesome! :woohoo:And if not available, pecan pralines make a great subsititute, just sayin'. ;)

Now pralines are something I know about! I will still look for the jalapeno peanut brittle but consider the pralines a done deal!!:thumbsup2

Hi Julie - I have twin daughters that are 16. DenverVal has a teen daughter also. We have been trying to get them together on Facebook so they can "meet" before the cruise.
I'm getting so excited! Anyone else reading the blogs from the cruisers this week? It is so fun to read about the itinerary we will be doing in just a few short weeks.
