Hi Everyone,

We are currently booked in a Villa at Poly June 5-12. The resort rooms won't be open until "Summer 2021" but not sure when they consider summer. I'm not feeling my normal pixie dust of excitement since we were due to go this past May CL at Poly. I did read where CL won't be returning until Sept 2021 and from other posts/reading the monorail for Poly might not be in operation until the "Summer 2021" schedule as well. This was to be a bucket list trip since we have never stayed deluxe/monorail line nor had hopper passes before. No clue when HP will return either. There are just so many blah things like even the Magical express getting our own luggage and then the airport check in upon returning home isn't happening (we have never used that feature before either). No spa (had a GF message booked as a surprise for DH this year), no package delivery back to resort...I know this might seem petty to some, but to me these are all the little things we were looking forward to experiencing for the first time. DH wants me to delay another year and book June of 2022 but everything is done and paid for! I'm on the fence in doing so since I saved up 3 years before booking to make sure everything was paid in full before we vacationed. All the tix and photopass are only extended until Sept 2021. I understand all can be reimbursed but then when I go to re-purchase I'm sure the price will be higher! For now I plan to hold out my reservation until at least next Feb to see if things change and open back up (like FP, HP etc. yes, I'm hopeful) I know others might be in my same shoes....how are you navigating it and staying positive? Any thoughts and advise would greatly be appreciated!

I don't think it's petty at all. The little experiences you mention that may not be there are essential to make the trip special.

My first piece of advice would be be patient. Who knows where we will be with the stuff by summer of next year? If a large portion of Americans have access to the vaccine by then, Disney may be back to normal.

Specifically to Poly, remember that WDW constantly changes its timelines and estimates on work and sometimes things are actually ahead of schedule (Galaxy's Edge opened at the very early end of their announced target).

In the event that it is still under construction, I would request a move to another luxury resort. You have a pretty good case that if it's still being worked on, you're not getting what you paid for.
