Ok, so I saw this on a YouTube channel and TOTALLY understand if no one wants to. What about a night for an RV tour? For those that wanted to, a time where we could tour each other’s campers. It sounded like a neat idea. Probably would be best to do early on but just thought I’d share 🤷🏻‍♂️

First mention of a snowman and I'm throwing cooking utensils!

"Dismeet" in it for sure. I was thinking, even though the song is regularly played to represent a certain team that wears daisy colored jerseys, that Rocky Top would be appropriate.

Perhaps Rocky Top Dismeet 2021?

Just started going through a Tourism Magazine I sent off for a few weeks ago from the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism. It is available for FREE from MyPigeonForge.com has some nice info for anyone looking for ideas

We will be staying at The Cove RV Resort on our way to the Pigeon Forge Dismeet. One night stay 06/05 ... anybody else gonna be there?

Rocky Top Dismeet 2021 was the suggestion I threw out there. Never really heard anything after that.

Afraid if the word "hillbilly" is in there somebody will get offended...:sad2:

In retrospect, I'm afraid of using the word "hillbilly" too because someone will see the sticker and remember the joke from Jeff Dunham and Bubba J:

DUNHAM.JPG

JEFF: WHERE DID YOU MEET YOUR WIFE, BUBBA J?

BUBBA J: AT THE FAMILY REUNION :rotfl2:

(and then they would look at me and DW and the sticker...)

(wait am I the only one that gets that joke?)

Rocky Top (10RC) is an okay name for me.

Ed

PS - I hear Lynn Anderson singing "Rocky Top" in my head

I would have swore we had a discussion on the name a while back, but I just went through this whole thread and the 1st one we started to discuss when and where (that first post from May of 2020 is kind of funny rereading)

I was thinking something with "mountain" in the name.

DIS Meet in the Mountains or
DIS Meet at the Mountains
DIS Mountain Meet
Mickey Meets the Mountains- DIS Meet (a little long maybe)

Here's a graphic that would fit (probably Trademarked though)

It's probably my bias because my first trips to the area (teens and honeymoon) were in Gatlinburg and I always thought of Pigeon Forge as the lesser, tackier cousin next door. Now, Gatlinburg has embraced the tacky and Pigeon Forge has really grown. I love both areas, but I really come for the national park. GSMNP is incredible and so much different than either tourist town.

Dismeet in the Smokies 2021
Rocky Top Dismeet 2021
Pigeon Forge Dismeet 2021

Country Bear Vacation Hoedown 2021

Any others? I could do survey unless it seems there is an obvious choice in the group.

I agree, I'm biased to Gatlinburg but we're staying in Pigeon Forge so that's kinda worked out. I agree with Jim, that park is my highlight.

I like Rocky Top but I plan to hike most days there. Bert just said if we call it Rocky Top we will change one of our hikes and hike up to Rocky Top. FYI we did Rocky Top when we went to GSMP in Nov 2019.

we have been hiking about once a week. Real training starts March 28. We are heading to Ohio next weekend, so once back we start the climbing hikes. Today was a state park. It was just under 8 miles with 900 ft of gain. We started plpanning the training hikes and most are 2000 feet of gain.
