June 2013 Car Rental When Best Deals

You need to be logged in as an Alamo Insider before you can get the rate using this code(7015135). Sign up if you are currently not an Alamo Insider, it's free on their website. It should work fine once you register.

I got a good rate using this code as well and check it daily waiting for it to drop.

I just tried tis code and they said its not valid. I'm signed in as an insider.

I tried the code again this morning and it is working for me. Not sure why you are having issues with it. Maybe someone else will chime in.

It said in the quoted item in a post above that it was for "select" Insiders. I'm assuming those that it worked for met whatever additional (unpublished) criteria to make them fall in that "select" group, and the others did not.

Booked a minivan through Hotwire and got Hertz: 6/1 thru 6/14 for $375. Pretty happy with the rate. We are in the market to buy a minivan, so we thought we would "test drive" one for two weeks.

Best rate I'm still seeing is the VROOMVROOMVROOM code 299851, and coupon AD2338FDF for Alamo. Getting $298 for 8 days, returning the car in Tampa (part of the reason I'm not seeing any other deals out there :) )

Can someone help me find a better rental car deal. I'm looking for at least a full size car from July 14-24, pickup at MCO (orlando). The cheapest I'm finding is about $550 :(
Thanks!

Great thread just found it today. We have only found around 400.00 for mini van June 11th-19th at the airport. Any current codes or discounts you can help with would be great.

I am still shocked at the price of rental cars this year. Where are the bargains? Cheapest I can get is 177 for 9 days with Budget who I really don't want to use. Still hoping they come down a bit.

I just used these and was able to get a minivan for 10 days (May 31-June9) for $362 with Alamo. This is better than I got with Budget. Is there anything I should know about these? Where are they from? Also, with Alamo it says estimated total and with Budget it said Confirmed price. Is this something I should worry about?

Woot! Just got a minivan from June 15-22 for $298! I didn't think I'd see one under $300.

I just went to the Dollar site this morning and put in the dates of June 12th thru June 18th, picking up at MCO (airport ) and I got a mid-size price of $114.24 ( Base ) or $167.58 out the door. This was a city special. Hope it helps someone out there. I didn't play around with the dates, but hopefully it will work out for a few of you.:drive:

Just booked economy car at Alamo for 6/25 through 7/2 (1 week and 1 day) using BJ's code and Visa code AD2338FDF -- saved $40. Total $224.62.

Was originally booked with Dollar for $279+ then changed to Budget for $254+. Hoping it goes lower as I paid $122 for the same amount of time in April.

Just booked Dollar City Special - June 21-29 for 178.50. This is for a full size tax included. This is the lowest I've found so far.

GREAT RATES!!
Budget using:
W852873
MUGZ041

I got a Dodge Avenger for 9 days--$138.39
or
a Chevy Impala for 9 days--$164.30

Had to share this one!
On a whim I did a search using carrentalsavers (dot com)
and reserved a minivan through Enterprise, picking up in Tampa, since that is where we are flying....$215.xx for the week of June 8th-15th. The base rate was something like $149 for the week, and it came to $215.xx with the fees/taxes, etc.

Considering that I hadn't seen vans for under $300, I'm thrilled with that rate. We were going to be paying $175 for a full-size car, so upgrading to the van for less than $50 is totally worth it!
