June 1, 2008 7-Night Mexican Riviera Cruise All Aboard is now back on Land

We are back!!!!!

Thanks to all for the FE Gifts!

I thought the seas were a little bit rough and i got a little dizzi at dinner, but WOW it was nothing near to what we experienced almost our whole cruise last year with the hurricane so it was not a big deal for us.

SORRY you guys got sick.

I was sick for about 4 days other wise i lost my voice and had a sore throat.

I had a problem with the kids area one night and went to speak with the head of childrens activities excpet i wasnt doing much soeaking , and later actually the next day they sent me a special package of tea and hot water and lemon and honey to our stateroom.

AHHHHHHHH how nice!

i found that for my age group, i thought the kids area was understaffed for my 3 yr old. i saw a couple people flustered. and the guy who does the brother bear show...whoa!!! stress case. i was waiting for the comment card, but i didn't see much room to write stuff. then i saw them being nice, so i think it was just a momnet of stress. but i do think they need more staff in there. one girl raised her voice. i liked lindsay the best, the blonde from the usa, i told ava to stay with her.

We were the May 25th trip and we had some issues with the club as well. We had over 1000 children on our trip. They weren't able to stick to the plan of events. So, the children were put into small groups and read to! My DD 7 said: Mom we just want to stay with you, this place is boring. So, we had a fun family trip and did leave them for Palo's but went right back to get them. Many of the staff seemed very stressed::yes::

Hi everyone! Wow, I can hardly believe we've almost been back a week now:( Anyway, it was fantastic to finally meet all of you. It's always nice to put a face to a name:lmao: ... The cruise was certainly a dream come true for Kailani. She got over her fear of the big face characters and actually started hugging them:lovestruc We can't wait for our next trip:banana: The staff was so Magically Disney:wizard:

Thanks, all, for the fab gifts! Loved them all! My hanging mickey shelves will go to every hotel room we stay in from now on... GREAT GIFT!!!!! And my sebastian phone "...and talking to you has made My day MUCH better" is my prized possession.

True confessions time.... the room tag game ended with ME! The last thing I did before falling asleep Wednesday night, to awaken the next morning sick as dog, was to thoroughly handle everything in the door tag bag. So..... mea culpa. I made an executive decision that appropriate door tag behavior did not include sharing viruses, so the game stopped.... Of course I lost my room list as well, somewhere along the line, so couldn't let y'all know.... AFTER I left quarantine on Saturday!

pirate:

Can't believe I missed pirate night after FOUR MONTHS of carefully acquiring pirate costumes for all of my family. So sorry to have missed the photo - y'all look great! At the time I was missing everything, I didn't care at all. Fireworks? oh how nice. Can't drag meself to the window to look. Let me just say, I now know why the cruise doctor said "Do you feel like you've been punched?"... I didn't at the moment he asked, but sure did later.

Our stateroom host, Jonathan Sarmiento dela Pena, was wonderful, brought ice and pillows for my quarantine, and my son kept the pink lemonade stocked. They were nice to call and offer room service food, but I wasn't upright. I did look out the window once at Puerto Varrata's pirate. It was a good thing to have a room with a veranda - being isolated in an inside room would be just awful.

In spite of the virus, BEST VACATION EVER!:yay:

I guess I will get just enough money back from the travel insurance to get myself to Puerto Vallarta for Las Caletas hideaway - my 3 kids ( 18, 20, 24) had the time of their lives there. pixiedust:

Wait til ya see my fab pirate outfit next time! (THREE YEARS?)

We had fun at Disneyland after the cruise, and are now back home... I bought a hybrid Civic this morning so I can afford to drive myself to work on Monday.

Great to meet you all!

Susan

The DCL version looks better than that one. We didn't see the bigger version either. Oh well.:confused3

Had a great cruise! So nice to meet everyone. Thanks for the great Fish Bait!!:thumbsup2

After the cruise we had an awesome visit with some friends we made on the TransAtlantic last year that work at the Walt Disney Studios. The gave us a tour and we got to visit Dave Smith's office - but he wasn't in.:worried: I did get to hold the Oscar that the Studios won for White Wilderness in 1958. Amazing! They're really heavy. :cool2:

SANDY

Where the 2 bags you left behind, a duffel type bag on the smaller side and a rolling bag? By any chance?

CUZ if they were i have a picture of them being sniffed and searched by the dogs.

When i get my pictures up loaded i will put a picture of it on here if it was yours!

We were standing in front of one for a but while Dh went to get the rental car, the smaller duffle was left on the edge of the curb, then a cop cme by and asked if it was ours, i said no and a few minutes later they had a dog out and sniffing all over it, he unzipped the side a bit and i thought you know we better move down, so as i got ready to move down , i realizedone fo the bags beside us was not ours either so it old him and he had the dogs all over that rolling one as well!

When we moved down i took soem pictures of them with the dogs on it.

THOUGHT it pretty interesting.

Even more so if it was yours!!!!

We're thinking of a Disney World trip followed by a cruise for next year.....We've never been to Disney World:confused3 Any ideas??????

We have decided not to cruise for about 2 1/2 years , It is what my DS wants as his LAST FAMILY VACATIOn before HIGH SCHOOL Graduation, but i have decided i really like the park type vacations better.

Who knows what we might do next year maybe Grand Canyon or Niagra Falls, or NEWYORK CITY.

We did not see our kids at all on the cruise really and it really made me sad this time.

So i will do things that they have no choice even if it means the beach with some of their friends in tow or the parks with soem of their friends in tow.

WOW that is a BIG UNDERTAKING if you have never been to WDW, it was a bit much for us to do a CRUISE and DL. I am sure you coudl do it, it would just be a lot of planning and thought on your part to see ONLY what you want to see in the parks.

I've heard that WDW is huge and that there ar 5 parks....My neice and nephew both work there. It just seems like it would be fun. Maybe I would need 2 weeks....I could see if they have a shorter cruise. Just dreaming at this point.:wizard:

I'm watching the Travel Channel and getting excited to leave again.....:lmao:
I would love to do the New 7 Wonders of the World of the 10 Natural Wonders of the World, but I think my DGD is too young still. We'll probably stick with Disney for at least a few years:wizard:
