Jun Honeymoon YC & Nov Invasion ASSp-Uptd 12/29 Holy Updates Batman!!

I have been toying with the thought of cutting my hair, right now it is 3/4 down my back, and when I finally get up the courage to do so I am going to donate mine. I think that is a wonderful thing that you did. How did the process go?

I just watched you DH (err I mean Danny) on tv hehehe. Everyone tells my DH that he looks like Justin Timberlake and he used to just roll his eyes but now he eats it up. Just give him time lol.

Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

I hear you, I was right there with you. My hair might have been a little longer. Almost to my waist. I had done this one time before about 2 years ago. It takes me about a year to grow it out long enough to donate. This time was a lot less tramatic than the last. It was the difference in the stylist for sure. The girl I went to this time is now my regular girl. She was very gentle and made sure I was okay with everything before she cut it. It was very odd seeing my ponytail braided and on the counter in front of me! :scared1: But the cut I got really turned out very cute and DH just loves it! This is always a bonus! :rolleyes1

This is in the car right after having it done. :wizard:

Ok! Much props to the awesome hair donation! That is too awesome. I love that Danny made it to this week, but you better tell your hubby to step up his game, this weeks song was not my favorite.

I am all caught up on your report. I think your hubby is the best picture poser ever or you are the best picture taker, he is so entertaining.

The Jiggler is so happy to see it's name in lights. I am sorry yours got squeezed and pinched. My jiggler probably would have loved it and forced me to go on it a bunch more times. Seriously, that sounds like a wedgie maker.

I like your wave picture! dessert that tastes like it has no sugar sounds like a punishment.

I am glad I had so many updates to read! I felt so spoiled. :flower3:

Mrs. The King!!! Yay your back! :goodvibes I will be sure to tell DH to have a better song choice this weekend and that the presure is on!

DH is always entertaining if nothing else. He is truly a clown at heart. Which is ironic. He tends to be pretty quiet when meeting new people, but if he knows it's a bunch of strangers he'll never see again...well he feels free to be himself. Weird I know. It does make for some very interesting pictures though.

Wedgie maker is correct. I loved the ride minus the pinching.

Yeah I was disappointed in the deserts. I want a sugary desert when I have one. It's no good if you don't get a little sugar coma after. I did however get a better desert later. Think it was a mickey bar or fudge....I can't remember exactly. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you are all caught up because I am going to be posting an update in a few min's!! Stay tuned!!:surfweb:

Day 8 June 15

Remember those suprises I had for DH throughout our honeymoon? Well today he gets his last one! Kind of sad to know it was the last one though.

We got up early this morning. Our suprise was to be early so we could still have some park time too. This one I thought would be especially romantic, something we could do together. I had booked us a couple’s massage at the GF Spa. We had to be there by 8:30, so we were up by 7 and out the door by 8. DH had never had a massage before, :scared1: so he was both excited and apprehensive. When we arrived at the Spa we checked in and were directed to our respective locker rooms. I can't speak for the men's other than to say my DH said it was one of the nicest bathrooms he'd ever been in. :rotfl: The ladies was huge! When you walk in, you walk into a sitting room with a tea, coffee, and water bar. To your left is a jacuzzi room. To your right is the locker room and then the bathroom. The lockers are pretty cool, you get to pick the code for your locker (pick something you can remember GB) then change into a robe (provided) and slip on shoes (also provided). You get to sit in the sitting room until they call for you. Then you get to pick the oil they use in your massage. It was neat to see all the different kinds. The massage therapist was great about explaining them all and what they help with etc. I obviously didn't get to many pictures, but here are the one's I did manage to take. I didn't want to be the stalker woman in the lockerroom taking pictures. :scared: The massage turned out wonderful; DH loved every minute of it. He even fell asleep for a little bit. It really relaxed him to be able to look over and see me in the room too.

So a little pictorial of our trip to the Spa!!

We took the monorail over to the GF, and walked down to the Spa.

GF Lobby

Here are a couple of pictures from the women’s only area at GF Spa. I felt awkward walking around taking pictures like a country bumpkin in the Ritz Carlton.

Day8GFSpaBathroom.jpg

Day8GFSpaHotTub.jpg

We headed back to the hotel for a shower and then we decided to head out to EPCOT.

Don’t I look so refreshed and happy? (or do I look like what in the world are you doing? DH gets this look quite often)

Day7MeContemporaryRoom.jpg

DH put the hat back on and we were off. Notice all the flair on the hat now! It really fits DH's personality!

Day7KennethHatFullout.jpg

We head to EPCOT via the monorail this time. No issues with transportation, so things are looking up! It rained on and off all day today so that really helped with the crowds.

First the shot in front of the ball, coincidentally taken by our friend the PP guy from the UK a few days before.

EPCOTBall2.jpg

EPCOTBall3.jpg

When we get into EPCOT we meet some of our old friends.

Day7EPCOTDucks5.jpg

Day7EPCOTDucks4.jpg

We fed them the required amount of crackers.....the entire amount we had in our back pack.

Then on our way accross the hub, DH was amused by the fountain. It was really funny, because for some reason in all the days/partial days we spent in EPCOT he had never realized the sound the water makes when it slaps to the ground at certain points in its show. One of these moments happed when we walked by and DH jumped so big. :rotfl2: I swear he looked as if he heard gun shots or something.

Day7KennethEPCOTFountains.jpg

We decided to head back over to the countries and make sure we did not miss anything and saw these guys in France along our way. If you have not seen them, it is really entertaining, and honestly I don't see how they keep their balance like that! I would fall badly and not gracefully in the least.

Day7EPCOTFrancePerformers.jpg

DH took one last spin on MS and I played the game at the end. I was on Triton and we won!!

0615081201.jpg

We said our goodbyes to EPCOT, and then???? Hmmm what should we do on our very last night of our honeymoon at Disney?

Is it ok that I don't want your honeymoon to end?

The massages sound divine. I would be afraid they would rub a gas bubble out of me. :scared: I liked your stalker pictures :rotfl:

Now if your Hubby would wear his hat on American Idol, I think he would do much better.

I do believe those ducks have you scammed. I don;t think they are hungry at all. :sad2:

Love your new charitable haircut, it is very cute, but it must be a big change for you.

And that guy on the chairs? that is easy peasy, that is how I get the stuff out of my top cabinets. :cool1:

Is it ok that I don't want your honeymoon to end?

Yes very much okay ....I didn't want it to end then or now that I'm reliving it! But never fear, there is lots more to come...we have a family trip to go through and I don't want to ruin it but some very tramatic things in between!! :scared1:

:lmao: That was DH's fear too! Luckily no green gases were emitted and all lived to see another day!

Now if your Hubby would wear his hat on American Idol, I think he would do much better.

I will be sure to pass on the message. I think he'd get most of the votes if he wore the hat! :thumbsup2

I do believe those ducks have you scammed. I don;t think they are hungry at all. :sad2:

I think they store it all up somewhere for winter....wait....that's not true they were out in winter when we were there too! Hmmm I think they take it back to the nest and use it to score babes!

Love your new charitable haircut, it is very cute, but it must be a big change for you.

It was a big change, but I really like it now. DH says it makes me look younger. Bless Him!!

And that guy on the chairs? that is easy peasy, that is how I get the stuff out of my top cabinets. :cool1:

:rotfl2: Now I bet that's a nights worth of entertainment right there!

The lockers are pretty cool, you get to pick the code for your locker (pick something you can remember GB) then change into a robe (provided) and slip on shoes (also provided).
DOH! In that case I could never go there! I'd be the guy trying to slip onto the monorail while cover his Netherlands with a pair of spa bags!

As to balancing on a tower of chairs? Are they crazy? I can't even stay atop a step ladder!

This just made me :lmao: I can picture a guy in the robe they provided running out of the Spa. Massue's in pursuit....ummm sir those robes aren't free you know! :rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh that was really good.

:goodvibes

Great pictures! I think your hair is about 2 inches longer than mine. It is really pretty long but I think that the new hair style looks awesome! I am looking for something about that length.

The pic from your Nov trip with your family is really great! I am looking forward to reading more about your trip.

Thanks Blairbear! I am really starting to like the shorter do for now. I go through stages where I like it longer because I don't have to "work" on my hair as much, then I get tired of it being so boring and cut it again! :rotfl: I'm just fortunate the last two times that's happened it was long enough to donate! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to tell you about our November trip...but I will warn you there was MAJOR drama before we got there. Dum Dum Dum!!!

Stay tunned posting a new installment in the next 30 min's!!

Day 8 Part 2

We said our goodbyes to EPCOT, and then we headed over to MK and later to stay for EMH’s.

Day8MeLaughFloor.jpg

DH caught off guard again! I love doing that. Doesn’t he look so intent on moving on from our bathroom break! LOL

Day8KennethMKBathroomExit.jpg

No DH is not retarded; he just likes to make weird faces. I can’t believe I have to say that about an adult, but I think his ability to play around with the boys gives them an understanding that I may not have with them. Not to mention he is just plain fun to be around!

Day8KennethPeopleMovers.jpg

We ate at Pinnochio’s Haus tonight. Big mistake, Ray’s is way better!

We watched the fireworks, rode Space Mountain again, and then made our way out of the park. We had to get ready to drive home tomorrow.

Last picture of the castle. :sad2:

And the last paparizi enforced kiss for the cameras :sad1: You would have thought they would have found a better angle than to make my rear look the size of the castle itself! Oh well!

MKCastle2.jpg

Sorry not a lot of pictures today, we just went with the flow and did what we wanted. My planning had allowed us to already do everything we wanted, so this was just a cake day for us. We savored every minute of our last park day.

Up Next Day 9 Departure Day

Woo Hoo! EMH!

I usually have that look going in!

Just read your WHOLE report in one sitting. Loved it! My dh & I just went to WDW in February to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Alone. It's a whole different place without kids! I noticed that like honeymoons, anniversaries spark a ton of kissy pictures, lol. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. :)

:welcome: Welcome PixieFairy! Glad you are here!

You read the whole thing in one sitting? :scared1::eek::rolleyes1:thumbsup2:cheer2::woohoo: In other words....wide blinking eyes followed by a faint and then celebration!!

You are right about the anniversary's and honeymooners being treated similarly. We found out about that during our November trip...but that's getting ahead of myself!!

It really is a entirely different experience without the kids. DH and I plot on when we can afford to go back just the two of us without utter mutany! (sp)

Thanks for reading along! Next post coming up.....

Day 9 June 16

We started off the day with breakfast delivered to our room at about 6:30-7 am.

I had the Mickey Waffle and bacon. Of course I did...I had to get my mickey fix for the day since we weren't headed to any parks today. :sad1:

Day9ContemporaryRoomServies.jpg

DH had what appears to be a “everything and the bucket” platter. :rolleyes1

Day9ContemporaryRoomService3.jpg

The condiments came in these really cute little jars.

Day9ContemporaryRoomService5.jpg

We ate and then packed up the car for the trip home.

We drove to Mobile the first night. We hit some wicked rain between Tallahassee and Pensacola. You know the kind that is litterally flying sideways at you? I swear we almost went off the road several times. We saw many cars who had! :scared1:

Here are some random pictures of our drive to Mobile.

RT2OceanView4.jpg

For those of you who aren't familiar with this tunnel. It actually goes under the ocean for a bit. It's kind of cool and creepy at the same time. When you are in it, all radio signal is cut out as well as cell phone reception!

RT2MobileTunnel.jpg

We stopped about 6-7pm and went to eat at Red Lobster! The food was as expected. We were really tired and both ready to get home to see the kids and morning our honeymoon that was coming to an end. So, we were a bit grumpy. Of course it was not me! :cloud9::lmao: Ok ok, maybe it was me this time! Then we went to check in our hotel room. I didn’t take any new pictures of our room. We stayed at the same place and had the same type of room.

We got up early the next morning and headed for home.

Continued!!!

P.S. don't leave the TR after this...we still have a November Turkey Day trip to go through!!! And some suprises before we even get there! Did I say suprises? Well we can't leave out the disasters either because there were a couple of those too!!!

Day 10 June 17

Here are some more pictures of the drive home.

I love this bridge from Mississippi to Louisiana.

RT2MississippibridgetoLouisiana.jpg

RT2MississippibridgetoLouisiana2.jpg

RT2MississippibridgetoLouisiana3.jpg

We got to around Shreveport and started getting calls from DH’s parents warning us of bad weather we were going to pass through. About 20 min’s later, this is what we see!

RT2Clouds8.jpg

RT2Clouds7.jpg

RT2Clouds6.jpg

It was about 2-3 hours of nothing but rain. YUCK!

We actually participated in a full out silent game. It lasted about an hour or so. We were pro's, even doing things to try to make the other crack, DH even busted out the gas warfare. No fair! :confused3 I can't enact it at will like he can! I did not crack though! My skills at breathing though shirts have become quite adept! To keep from making sounds, we had silent laughs, hand puppets, and lots of pointing at things. ;) In the end DH declaired it a draw neither of us giving up. I technically call it a victory as I did not suggest the truce...yes we are both quite stubborn, but we have a special understanding of each other that way!

We also got to talk a lot about what we were going to do with the rest of the week. I had managed to take 2 weeks off for the wedding! Both DH and DS9’s birthday’s were at the end of the week. We decided we’d grant DS’s wish and take him to Six Flags.

That bonus TR is coming up!! And then....our Disney addiction lives on!

That's right we find another amuzement park and continue on!!

BONUS Six Flags Trip

We got up early and headed for our local Six Flags in Arlington Texas. We knew that just like any park, you have to get there early. We got up got dressed and headed out the door EARLY.

We get in the car and back out of the driveway to guess what? RAIN!!! Texas rainstorms aren’t like Florida rainstorms. We get TONS of lightning, and since we don’t get it that often most of the rides are, yep you guessed it, OUTSIDE. We decide to continue on our quest anyway. In Texas most rainstorms are gone in a couple of hours. We were praying that this rainstorm was in the “most” category.

After we floated our way to our parking spot and swam up to the gate we all agreed the rain was starting to tapper off. We paid to get in, with the disclaimer “no rain checks”. When we entered the park, only one ride was open, Yes the inside one, but the characters were out and there were no lines. One side effect of the rain in our favor. We stopped got some pictures with them.

SixFlagsFamily.jpg

Wait do I see a resemblance here?

SixFlagsShagScooby.jpg

These are my boys in line for our first ride of the day!

SixFlagsBoys.jpg

Once we got out of this 3D adventure, the sun was starting to shine and the “Rock-N-Rocket” opened up. Now mind you DS 13 & I are ride wienies. We took one look and said “you’ve got to be crazy” DH is a thrill ride junky so we got the ugly grumpy pants look. DS 9 says….I think I can do it, but Daddy, you have to hold on to me. I nearly faint. :scared1: I stand there in utter disbelief. My 9 year old is going on that thing? I immediately start praying under my breathe. I am caught in that mother’s conundrum. I want him to have fun and grow up and not be scared, but I am terrified and now terrified for him! I suck it up and try to keep the terror off my face. I decide if I took lots of pictures I’d keep myself from having a heart attack.

SixFlagsDaddyGage3.jpg

SixFlagsDaddyGage5.jpg

SixFlagsDaddyGage4.jpg

SixFlagsDaddyGage6.jpg

YIKES!!! I’m so glad that’s over!

Next up, Tony Hawks Spin? I have been going to Six Flags for years, but this year they had a lot of new rides. So the ride wienie that I am, I have to go look it over before I will risk my life on a ride. Yes I know they are safe, and yes I know I am watching safe people get off the ride, but my heart….well that’s another story. This turned out to look pretty cool.

Here are my guys waiting in line.
First take….
SixFlagsboys2.jpg

Ok act right

SixFlagsBoys3.jpg

Halfway through the line we hear someone on the loud speaker say “wah wa, wah wah wah wah”, yes Charlie Brown teacher how can we help you? They repeat and in a way we could understand. The ride had broken down, sorry for the inconvenience, come back later. Well crud!

We take the boys over to Toontown (Loontown if you ask me) to ride some kiddy rides while we wait to see if it comes back up. My DS13 acted like he hated it, but I’ll let you judge from the pictures yourself.

SixFlagsBoysBus.jpg

SixFlagsBoysTrucks.jpg

Next the boys want to get wet. DH & I had no interest in walking around the rest of the day with wet undies and a permanent wedgie. We opt to take pictures instead.

SixFlagsBoysSplashDown.jpg

Then of course they have to wait to get soaked on the bridge for good measure.

SixFlagsBoysBridge2.jpg

SixFlagsBoysSplashDownBridge.jpg

Somehow when I sat down to wait on them, this happened!

SixFlagsButtDirty.jpg

Yes it’s chocolate ice cream! (Where was your mind?)

We head back to the Tony Hawk ride.

The ride is pretty cool. The car you are in actually spins while you are going through the rollercoaster. Similar to the AK ride. One difference? There are 4 to a car and you sit 2 on each side.

SixFlagsBoysTonyHawk.jpg

To be continued.....what's up next? What happens when you don't allocate your weight evenly on a spinny ride???

Is anyone still reading along? Just wanted to see if I was begining to bore or not.

Still here, I just haven't been posting. So waiting to see how you manged with 4 boys over Thanksgiving. :lmao:

I'm here! I'm here! I just caught your updates! Cracking up at the continued antics of your crew. It's been at least 8 or 9 years since I've been Six Flags over Texas. We have done SF Fiesta Texas a couple of times, most recently last summer, and we've done Sea World San Antonio 3 or 4 times. The last tiem I was at SFOT, they had JUST opened Mr. Freeze. I DO remember the bridge of doom and the first time I stood on it. I remember thinking I'd be the first person in history to drown while standing on a bridge.
