Jun Honeymoon YC & Nov Invasion ASSp-Uptd 12/29 Holy Updates Batman!!

Last update on previous page. It figures I go to answer and change the page and double post at the same time. LOL only me!!!

your trip report is great - i love all of the pictures. thanks for sharing it.

Heeeellllloooooo Piglet! Welcome aboard. Thank you for all the compliments.

I have really enjoyed reliving our honeymoon through this TR. As you can tell, I love to take pictures, and getting to share them has been awesome!

I can't wait to talk about our November trip with ALL our boys!

Thanks for reading along! :thumbsup2

Day 7 Part 2
We decide to go to the Grab and Go for an early lunch and use some of our left over Dinning Credits before they run out at midnight. :wizard: We also make a reservation at The Wave for dinner. Then we are going to head out to DTD and TL.

First of all, I would not recommend the Grab and Go for food. It was pretty tasteless and greesy. I got pretty nauseous from it. Luckly the June heat in Florida sweated it right out of me this time! :scared:

Said Grab and Go offerings

Day7ContemporaryGrabandGo.jpg

We head to the bus stop and then proceed to wait for 45 min’s on a bus to DTD. :scared1: I’m not sure what was the deal with the busses. I know we shared with Poly, GF, and WL, so that might have been the issue?

We finally get a bus, and are on our way. DH & I had fun shopping. I bought a personalized honeymoon ornament so we could always have a reminder of our trip. Last year when my boys and I went without DH (because he couldn’t get off work not that I was just mean) I had bought one for our Wedding and Personalized Santa Mickey’s for each of us for our tree. Yes they were expensive and yes we do cringe anytime the cats get near the tree, but we adore them just the same. So, obligatory ornament bought. Then we head to the World of Disney store and buy a few things. We had been really good about getting the boys souvenirs and keeping the costs for that down to a minimum. Mostly due to me being an Accountant and being able to add everything up in my head and the list is in there too! :teacher: Much to DH's dismay.

Here is DH loving the shopping experience.

Day7KennethDTD.jpg

Then for some reason he really loved Fulton’s being a boat and "had" to have a picture.

Day7DTDFultons.jpg

Ok, great we are done here. We both looked relieved and headed to the bus stop to pick up a bus to TL. I think we actually took a bus to one of the nearest resorts and then their bus to TL, but I can’t really remember. I think he hich hicked a ride on the DBL to POFQ and then transfered. This was actually really smooth and quick! :thumbsup2

We get to TL and get a locker etc. It’s about 12-1 by now. It’s a little crowded, but not to bad.

Day7MeTL.jpg

Neither one of us had been to this park before, so it was a first for us both. The boys and I go to Blizzard Beach. Where to first? We head to Slushing Gusher? The big slide ride there that blows you up the slide, it’s really the slide vs. gravity! Let me tell you….those little blowers, well they have rollers too. My jiggler (TM MTK) got caught in more than one and when we were done with the ride, I was done with it to! The Photopass lady at the end didn’t even get a picture of us. :headache: All that jiggler (TM MTK) catching and nothing to show for it. What? How dare they! Didn't they know we were worthy of paparazi? Well maybe not in our bathing suits??? :lmao: The no photopass person was a trend that continued all day. We did have an underwater disposable camera we took with us, but in typically procrastination form, it is still sitting on my dresser undeveloped because we haven’t used all the pictures yet. And that camera wasn’t cheap! And the cheap Accountant I am....yes you get the picture don't you. ;)

Here is the picture we managed to get in the wave pool from the Photopass guy we basically stalked until we got our picture! (My how the tides have turned)

Day7TL.jpg

We head to the BIG slides and they were fun. I let DH ride the big one by himself. All I have to say about the other is WEDGIE!!! They were fun, don't get me wrong, but I hate having to concentrate on my bathing suit being intact instead of enjoying the ride.

We stood in line and got EMH bracelets, but by 6 or so we were ready to go. Besides we had and ADR at the Wave in a little while.

So we decide to head back to the hotel and shower before dinner.

Sorry for the short update.....more to come with dinner and an extra magical evening!!

Day 7 Post 3

When we last left off we were dround like a couple of wet rats and then told each other to get spiffied up for our dinner date. Great idea yes? We thought so until we get to our door to our room and put the key in....we try to turn the handle and ummm well nothing happens. We continue to do this for a few minutes and look at each other with that..."look" and a no way comment. I mean they can't have kicked us out yet right? We have only checked in that morning and haven't even been there all day. :rolleyes1 I mean the scene at the desk couldn't have been the issue...I was relatively civil considering. I really hadn't shown my evil gemini side...so that couldn't be it. I don't recall DH letting in gaseous clouds when we were down there. hmmm. Ok let's drip our way down stairs and talk to the "nice" people at the front desk.

We get there and they tell us that we must have kept our room keys next to our cell phones. This strips the coding. Umm ok, or course I think if it's such an issue why don't you mention it at check in? We don't recall both having our keys with our phones, but hey whatever right? We get back upstairs and are let into our icebox! :yay: Yes when you are wet the room is soooo cold even in June in Florida! :lmao:

We put our pruney selves into the shower and spiffy up for our dinner. Yay it's time to go!! I'm starving!

We get down stairs and DH decides to make a time warp trip somewhere! He still won't tell me where he went, but since he's wearing his "I'm not Perfect just Forgiven" t-shirt I really do kind of wonder. :rolleyes1

Far out man! LOL Guess we didn't entirely miss the 60's. (considering we were both born in the 70's) ;)

Waiting on our table

Day7MetheWave.jpg

Our table

Day7Thewave.jpg

Appi’s. I had the lettuce wraps and DH the crab cakes. Mine was really good, but DH said the crab cakes at the Brown Derby were better.

Day7TheWaveAppi.jpg

Day7TheWaveAppi2.jpg

When we were waiting on our entree's I took this pic of DH. What is it with men that they always have to figit with things? As you can see it is a stir stick of somekind this time! It reminds me of boys about 13 trying to strike that "cool pose" then trying to be funny at the same time. :rotfl: At any rate, DH continues to be entertaining!

Day7KennethTheWave2.jpg

For our entrees I had the steak and DH the lamb. Both were very good. DH loved his lamb and talked about it for a day or so.

Day7TheWaveSteak.jpg

Day7TheWaveLamb.jpg

Then it was desert time. I was very excited because I read about all the choices and couldn’t wait. I had the seasonal sorbet trio. I was very disappointed. They were not sweet at all but rather sour. Imagine lemon sorbet with no sugar! Yes that’s what it tasted like. This was me :woohoo: then  then :sad2:. Too bad too. It was beautiful

Day7TheWaveDesert.jpg

DH had the decadent trio. (I think it was called something like that) He liked all but the chocolate mouse/cake thingy.

Day7TheWaveDesert2.jpg

Then we stepped out back of the hotel to see what we could out there.

A nice couple came along and took our picture! With a cool kind of statue of my other bo.

Day7UswithContemporaryMickeyEars.jpg

This butterfly house was pretty cool and edjimacational too!!

Day7ContemporaryButterflyHouse.jpg

I am always amazed by Disney's Topiaries.

Day7ContemporaryMickeyTopiary2.jpg

Then we head back inside the hotel for Wishes from our BALCONY.

Continued!!

It was truly awesome to watch the fireworks from our balcony. Very romantic for our honeymoon.

Was it worth the extra money?

Well on our honeymoon, yes. On a normal trip…no.

This was awesome.

Oh and you remember the video camera with no juice? We were able to plug it in and take it out on the balcony and video Wishes! So we ended up with about 10-15 min's of our honeymoon videoed total. :upsidedow but oh well... my memories are permanent.

One thing about watching the fireworks from outside MK....it is awesome, don't get me wrong, but it lacked some of the magic even listening to the music on the TV in the room. JMO

Up next Day 8 Our Last Park Day :sad2::sad1: and oh the surprises I have in store

Just got through going through your TR! My DF had told me about you guys a little while back... he posted a comment in there somewhere... we're the ones that live in Allen (well, moving to McKinney in a couple weeks)... oh, and your DH and I share a birthday!! I'll be turning the big 4-0 in WDW this June 13!! :scared1:

I'll be turning the big 4-0 in WDW this June 13!! :scared1:

:welcome: I remember the post from you DF. Good luck on the moving. I hate that.

What a place to have a special birthday. Wish we were going with you! ;) Don't worry you'll feel about 10 while you are there so it's all good! :thumbsup2

I hope you guys didn't get any of the hail and stuff last night that passed through. We were safe! :cloud9: Well this time. We spent all weekend fixing our fence...but that's another post!

An accountant, a mechanic, a little mutt and a fence! A weekend tail!

It all started Tues of last week. It has been raining in our little town off and on for about 2 weeks or so. We WERE in a droubt but now we are really coming back strong.

So anyway, it all started Tuesday with the hellacious winds. The kind it's really hard to stand up in. :laundy: would be gone out of your hand before you even clipped it on the line. Although, I can't for the life of me understand why someone would be hanging said laundry in the winds and rain. So we went to bed Tuesday night praying :chat: that our house would not be to worse for the wear. So Wens. morning everyone gets up and heads out for work or school. I am the last to leave this morning. I back out of the drive way and out of the corner of my eye I see light where there should be fence. I think no way. So I do that slowly turn my head back to see if I drempt it thing. I don't know why we do that. Do we think if I turn my head slower, or put off seeing it just a few more seconds it will miracously repair it's self? Why is it always me that finds this stuff? I don't know, but I hate it. :sad2: I think my family is actually starting to dred my phone calls when I call at off times. Hmpt The nerve! ;) Meanwhile it's raining now that I got in the car. It was not when DH and our boys left for school! :headache: It was early in the morning and in my defense, I wasn't completely awake really. I actually put the car in drive and drive down our street like I'm going to work. Yeah, I was just going to leave the stupid fence there, until I remembered the DOG!! This is DH's dog btw. He brought him home from the shop he works at about 4 months ago or so. He was a stray and so sweet. It's really hard to even discribe this little guy. He's like a chiwawa (sp) size maybe a little bigger. Short hair. White on the whole underbelly with black, brown, and white stripings, spots ect on his back. Yes I know hard to picture. He's also got one ear that sticks up and one floppy one. He is pretty cute I will give him that, but he is a Mutt. I will try to post a picture later. I have one on my camera at home and just haven't loaded it yet. I digress. SO I  the dog is in the back yard. He'll get out and run away.

DH would kill me. So I pull around the block and stop closer to our fence than our driveway is (just in case the neighbors are watching, I don't want them to think I am crazy.....ok crazier than they already do) I get out of the car (IN THE RAIN) and go check out the fence. A whole panel section is laying flat on the ground. Oh man....I inspect more closely and yes, one of our posts are broken. We have an ongoing project...DH & I...as one of the old wood posts break, we replace it with a new shiny steel post! Unfortunately this labor of love is quite labor intensive and frustrating. ( I have a flash back to the last post and just how much of a joy that was digging in the dark bitter cold brrrrr) I try to prop the fence panel back up to see if it might by some off chance hold. Yeah that lasted all of 30 seconds in this wind and rain I'm standing in. My work brain kicks in and reminds me I have a meeting today I have to be at and now I'm going to go looking like a drowned rat so I better get a move on it. I decided to cut my losses and put the dog in the garage for the day. So I got get him and his bed and food and put him in the garage. One miss calculation...I have to go out of the garage to get out and then lower the door. You can see where this is headed. As I hit the button to close the garage door, I head back to my car. Next thing I see is the stupid dog running in front of my car. I call him and luckly he comes. I put him back in the garage and lower it down as I stand there saying things like....stay in the garage...get back....oh no you don't you little stinker....you get the picture. Success...he stays in the garage this time. I get in my car and this is when I finally realize exactly how wet I am and horrid I look. :scared1: I realize it's to late for me to go change my close or even dry my hair. I am going to be late for a meeting. And all because I am the only one who pays attention!!!! Grrrrr. Or so it seems anyway.

You can imagine the call DH gets as I'm heading to work. I mean you could have grabbed some popcorn:: and listened in for a good 5-10 min's about how upset I was and all. Poor, poor DH....today was just not the day to not pay attention in the morning. His worst mistake was laughing when I told him how wet I was. :sad2: he went from :lmao: to :scared: in no time flat. I know you guys out there can relate to that one. Luckly for DH he knows just how to talk me down from that perverbial ledge.

So that night when DH gets home from work it's still raining and dark...nothing we can do about it tonight, so we leave the dog in the garage tonight. Thursday....DH decides he's going to pay our DS's 13 & 9 to help him. Again raining tonight but DH wants to at least rig the fence to stay up. Oh by the way, we also notice that the back fence is weaving and that a part of it has come loose...not fallen but loose. Upon closer inspection...2 more posts have become fallen prey to these storms. DH & boys take and extra brand new picket we have and saw it in thirds and nail the ailing fence back together...kind of...at least for now.

Friday morning...it's not raining anymore so DH puts the dog back out back and leaves for work. I leave for work and this time all is relatively well except for the eyesore of the rigging on my fence!

We are having a good Friday when our DS9 calls me when he gets home after school. He is crying and tells me that the fence has blown back down from the rigging. Guess it wasn't rigged well enough! He did try! At this point, there is nothing I can do. I am an hour away at work. I tell him when his brother DS13 gets home they can go around the block and call for him.

Sadly he was no where to be found. DH had the number for Animal Control, but by the time we called them....they were already closed for the day. Now a little insite on DH...he acts all big and tough, but he loves that dog. He was putting up a good front, but let me tell you, it was the grumpyiest front.

So I leave them to fight with the fence and head to Home Depot for 3 posts and concrete and brackets and caps and screws. Whew. I think I remember exactly what we got last time, so I try and go off of memory, but nothing is where it was 3 months ago now. Luckly a nice man that worked there came to give me an assist. We get what we need in my cart and I'm good to go. Oh and I had to get 5 more pickets just in case, oh and a new shovel...we broke ours on the last post we replaced! This time I bought a fiberglass one though with a lifetime warranty!! :thumbsup2 Now the nice man loaded the 3 bags of concrete onto my cart, but when I checked out there were no nice men around to help me lift all this into my car. :confused3 I wheel it out to my car thinking....someone will see me with this and come to help...surely. (No I am serious and don't call my Sherlie! sorry couldn't help that one) Well you guessed it....I'm struggling with this stuff and no one comes to help, which in it's self wouldn't be an issue, but there was a man sitting in his car that witnessed all this and just watched. Maybe I was particularly interesting or funny to him? I don't know he wasn't laughing. :confused3 You will be proud of me though, I lifted 3 50lb bags of concrete into my car all by myself and didn't hurt me or anything else.

I get it all home and the boys and DH set to work on the front post. They got it out pretty easily and were able to set the new post and concrete that night. I promise to call the pound first thing when I wake up in the morning and everyone heads to bed.

I wake up the next morning (Sat for those following along at home) and call the pound. They think they have seen our dog! Someone brought him in and has taken him home to make sure he didn't outstay his welcome at our local facility. The very nice lady offers to call the people who have him and try to reconnect us. Sadly went straight to voice mail. :guilty: She gives me the number anyway and suggests I keep trying today. I did call later and it went straight to voice mail again. :sad1:

Meanwhile DH gets home from work. We get the panel back up leaving the missing picket until later and start on the back fence. We figure while the dog is gone we can try and get this done before we get him back. Oh and the we's I'm referring to now are me and DH. The boys have completely bailed to practice basketball at the courts. DS13 even gave DH back the money he paid them. What? :confused3 You are 13 and you don't want the money because you don't want to work for it? To clarify, in our house if the boys want some spending money they have to do something extra in the house. I make them earn it. So this was shocking to us when he gave the money back.

We spend the next few hours tearing down the three panels that connect these two broken posts. We realize we have to replace one of the 1 by 2's as well. Ok, now I am an Accountant. When I get out there to help my DH I do my very best, but I simply am not able to compare to his ablilities with these kinds of activities. At least I am there to help and do not complain much. I felt victorious when I had all the pickets pulled out of the 1 x 2 we are going to replace. We realize some of the other 1 x 2's are looking so hot so I head back to Home Depot to get a few and some more concrete and brackets and DH didn't like the screws so to get some of those. This time there are no nice men to help me. I get the 3 50lb bags of concrete by myself and all the rest and check out and fight the bitter cold to pile it all into my car. This time someone walks up and offers.......to take my cart for me back to the basket keeper!! Man I think I am growing some serious muscle! When I get back to the house I help DH nail in the pickets to the new 1 x 2 and then we pour the concrete for the 2 new posts. We decided we were tired and they needed to sit overnight to harden. We had church in the morning and we didn't want to be groggy.

We were so exhausted tonight that we were both pretty quiet. We prayed we'd hear from these nice people and that they would indeed have our dog.

Sunday...... we get up and go to church, we eat at our social, and head home to claim victory over the fence. We change of course, then head out back. We verify the new posts aren't going anywhere and then proceed to put up the panels. We get to the middle one and uh oh, it's cracked and the pickets are wearing out etc. We decide we need to replace the whole section...and you know what that means...back to Home Depot. We get the pickets needed (26 if I remember correctly) and another 1 x 2 and nails! We are looking around the tools section...I mean DH is a Mechanic....and a guy who we'll think the best of and call him not that bright walks up says "how ya'll doing?" and looks straight at my chest and then looks up and smiles with DH right there. I can not do anything but just laugh at the poor man. DH and I are obviously together and he has just walked past us for that specific reason. Luckly DH is not really the jealous type so we let it go laughing as we walk away. Of course DH leaves him with a parting gift. A cloud of course!

While we were gone the nice people had returned my phone call!! I left Dh with the fence to go pickup our puppy! He about swallowed my face whole when he saw me. I thank the nice people for taking care of him and head home. I put him in the backyard when I get home and proceed to start helping DH nail up these pickets! We look around and yeah....the dog is gone AGAIN!! He has snuck out of the tiny whole that not putting up the last picket on the original panel has left. I leave DH in the back yard and once again get into my car and start calling the dog. I fell like one myself...my face was hanging out of the window, wind blowing on my face...etc. I do find him this time though! Dumb dog....good thing we love you so much.

We get the fence DONE!! After DH turns nailing the pickets into a competition. Of course he can nail twice as fast as I can, so he beats me pretty bad. Ok, so he found one thing he can beat me at! :lmao: We sit dumbfounded on the couch for a good hour or so recouperating from the weekend.

So what I've learned....Texas wind, a dog, a mechanic, an accountant, and two sometimes helpful boys can get this all done in one weekend, but now I need a weekend to recouperate!!

Now back to our regularly scheduled TR!!

I just joined this TR but I wanted to say that you were a beautiful bride! That's awesome about the upgrade! I just got back from a honeymoon and wished I had stayed at a Deluxe although POR-R was very nice. Now hubby is dreaming of the GF! Again, congrats and I'm tuned in! :happytv:

:welcome: Glad you are along for the ride!

Thank you so much for your sweet comments! I think there is just something about brides. They glow! I think there is something in our chemistry that makes women their most beautiful on their wedding day.

The upgrade was a complete suprise! We were truly blessed.

party: Congratulations on the Honeymoon!! And wedding that started the honeymoon!

We would not have been able to stay deluxe with DxDP if I had not gotten in on the discount code Disney offered last June.

We stayed as ASSp in Nov....I think it was a mistake staying Deluxe for DH's first trip....he's now spoilt Disney Baby. :goodvibes He told me last night he will only stay deluxe from now on....I told him then I guess it will be 2 years between each trip then!! ;) He agreed .... for now. He's got the Disney bug as big as I do!

Thanks again for reading along with my TR and for posting!! :cheer2:

Great updates - loved the MK pics. Sorry to hear about your weekend. I'm glad you found the pooch....twice. :lmao: The dinner at Cali grill looked quite nifty. That's one of those spots I hope to eat at someday, but know it won't happen until my girls are older.

Looking forward to seeing how the trip wraps up.

Hey GB! MK has always been the park that makes me feel most like a child again. It wasn't until our Honeymoon that I really fell in love with EPCOT. Don't get me wrong, I always liked it.

Yeah the pooch saga was interesting, but we are better for the wear, I think!

Cali grill was really good, I have to admit DH felt he was a little to "country" for it. He says now he would go back since we've been watching a lot of Foodie shows and says he knows how to "act right". :lmao: I told him you are taking these people to seriously, just relax and enjoy the food! I never got to eat here either until we went without the kids!

Oh I heard an expression on the radio this morning that reminded me of you. It was analogies for basketball.

"Get the biscuit in the basket"

I couldn't help but laugh.

I'm just starting to read and still have catching up to do. Love the report so far!

I had to laugh about your description of the PhotoPass photographer in post #9. I'm wondering if he was the same guy we kept seeing over and over again on our trip last September. We saw him everywhere in Epcot, and everytime he would take the same shots. "Smile, now look at each other, now kiss!" Over and over again... :lmao: We got some fun shots out of it though.

Can't wait to read more:thumbsup2

:welcome: Jessily thanks for reading my TR.

The photopass guy? Oh yes the stalker or better known as the paparazi! ;) If you went in Sept it very well could have been our guy from June? Yes you truly have the sequence of poses most asked for on your honeymoon down! The oddest one was when the photographer had to set up his equipment during our sunset session and took about 30 pictures...I'm not kidding either! We got to do that rotation of poses at nausium....not that I mind kissing my DH or staring into his eyes...but to do it on comand....well that's a little pressure to make it look right you know!

Can't wait for you to read more either!! Let me know what you think along the way too!

I just wanted to stop in and say hi, I have just caught up on your trip report. Congradulations on your wedding you make a beautiful bride and your DH really looks like Danny Gorky! I was thinking that before I read it! I can't wait to read more.

:welcome: Blairbear!! Thanks for reading! :thumbsup2

Thanks you for your nice words on our wedding and the bride! :bride: lol Shhh don't tell anyone, but I have since chopped my hair off and donated it to the cancer society...Locks of Love. They make wigs for cancer patients. Don't worry, I'm not bald or anything now, it's just about shoulder length. (And if I already wrote about this in my TR....well I'm getting old and we'll leave it at that)

I saw were DH err I mean Danny made it to the top 8! Infact, I told DH last night when the comercial came on :happytv:....."look honey you made it to the top 8" He of course rolls his eyes at me...but I still think it's funny to tease him about.

A new update will be up probably tomorrow, so stay tuned!! :surfweb:

I have been toying with the thought of cutting my hair, right now it is 3/4 down my back, and when I finally get up the courage to do so I am going to donate mine. I think that is a wonderful thing that you did. How did the process go?

I just watched you DH (err I mean Danny) on tv hehehe. Everyone tells my DH that he looks like Justin Timberlake and he used to just roll his eyes but now he eats it up. Just give him time lol.

Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Ok! Much props to the awesome hair donation! That is too awesome. I love that Danny made it to this week, but you better tell your hubby to step up his game, this weeks song was not my favorite.

I am all caught up on your report. I think your hubby is the best picture poser ever or you are the best picture taker, he is so entertaining.

The Jiggler is so happy to see it's name in lights. I am sorry yours got squeezed and pinched. My jiggler probably would have loved it and forced me to go on it a bunch more times. Seriously, that sounds like a wedgie maker.

I like your wave picture! dessert that tastes like it has no sugar sounds like a punishment.

I am glad I had so many updates to read! I felt so spoiled. :flower3:
