Jumping into July Monthly Weight Loss Challenge **Newbies always welcome!**

Yikes......I weighed myself after this weekend and gained 3 lbs!!!!!! I guess I have my work cut out for me, this week. I did my new 5mi. DVD last night....but the scales still didn't budge this morning. Oh well, I guess I deserve it when I binge on booze and cookout food for 2 days. Hope everyone had a slimmer weekend than me.
 
We went to the county fair tonight -- usually a terrible trap for me. Gyros and fried veggies and funnel cakes and cactus fries and ice cream...yikes! But I was so good tonight. I only ate three pierogies and a bite of funnel cake, and drank a big unsweetened iced tea. That was probably less than I would have eaten for dinner at home! I'm not sure why but nothing even really tempted me seriously. Things looked good but I knew they weren't worth it. Plus I'm pinching pennies for the trip so I hate shelling out money for food right now. And we walked the fairgrounds 1 1/2 times -- probably close to 2 miles. So overall I feel pretty good about the evening!
 
Still fighting the flab I gained over the weekend.....not looking good for my weighin tomorrow, but wil do a extended workout tonight and pray!

BTW.....anyone going to WDW in Sept? DH and I will be there 9-20-08 to 9-28-08. Would love to meet some of my fellow DisDieters.

I weighed in this morning -- down .8 lb. So my total is 1.8/6 right now. :banana:
 
I weighed in this morning. The good news is I lost the 3 lbs. I gained from over indulgence this past weekend. The bad news is I was not able to lose any additional (even with the extra workout last night). So I am still 2/3. But am bound and determined to be good this weekend.
Good job all on your weight loss...I'm cheering for ya!:yay:

I'm not hiding, just being disgusted with myself -- my weight is just not budging. Every time I lose a smidge I gain it back the next day. I'm keeping it at around 1200 cals/day, but I know I need to up my exercise. It's just so hot -- I hate walking in this heat & humidity!
 
I would LOVE to join.... but July hasn't been that great of a month for me (plus its almost over) so I was wondering if anyone will be starting an August thread? If so, I'M IN!!!
I started my "new lifestyle" Jan 1st, and so far I've lost just over 50lbs. The past 6 weeks or so however, I have been very bad. I'd go off for a week or two, gain 2-4 pounds, go back on for a week, loose it, go back off, etc.... Now I'm totally determined to get back on and stay on!!! No more cheese fries for me baby!!! My first goal is to get to 150 (less than 25 pounds to go) and then I get to get my tattoo - I CAN'T WAIT! Good luck to all of you, and hope to see you in August!!!
 
I hope we have an August challenge also.....I still have a few pounds to ;ose before out Sept. WDW trip. I know I will gain some back while on vacation, since DH convinced me to do the DxDDP....but isn't that what vacations are for?? Hopefully we will have an Oct. challenge also...cause I think ( I know) I will need it then too!

Sorry for the delay in checking in for last week....been having some computer problems at home. We caught a virus...looks like we may just buy a new one.

Anyways....I did not lose any last week..ths I am stil at 2/3. We attending a huge fish fry this weekend and with a couple of alcholic beverages added on....I had a gain over the weekend also. I guess I have my work cut out for me this week. I plan on doing 5 mi. workouts with extra hand weights every night. I figure I will do one final weigh in this Friday...even tho it will technically be Aug 1st. I need that final pound that has been eluding me for the last two weeks.!!!!!
 
Hey, don't give up everyone!!!!! Even tho I am still 2/3 for July as of this morning......I plan to continue on into August. Hopefully someone will start a thread because it definantly keeps me on my toes knowing I need to weigh in every Friday.
Now, if I could just make it thru the weekend without gaining.....seems like I bust my b*tt all week trying to lose the weekend weight gain, but at least I have been able to maintain and lose a few inches in the process. Darn those weekend cookouts.
I still want to lose at least 2-3 more lbs. before our 9-20-08 WDW trip, so even if there is not an August challenge....I will be lurking. I am always open for a diet/weigh in partner or two.....PM me if you want to stay motivated together.
