Jumping into July Monthly Weight Loss Challenge **Newbies always welcome!**

I've been waiting for someone to start this but no one is as of yet, so I'm going to. I'm on WW and have 4 month weigh ins for July. I'm going to stretch it this month and go for 10 lbs in the next 4 weigh ins. (Last one is on July 31)

Please put your weight in lost/total aiming for IE; 2/10

Count me in.......I currently weigh 136 lbs., and want to lose about 5 more by Sept. 1st......but I'll try for 3 lbs by August 1st....If I succeed...I can coast for the month of August. Maybe we can all join together and total our weight loss pledges and see how well we can do as a team?????
BTW I do WW also and just ordered a new Leslie Sansone workout DVD.

Good luck....I know summertime is so hard with all the cookouts and yummy frozen cocktails.

Matter of fact...DH and I are having a belated July 4th party this Saturday. This will be tough since DH is putting a hugh prime rib roast on the rotisserie, plus baked taters, corn on the cob, biscuits and "better than sex" cake. Guess I better figure out a healthy salad huh?? We won't even discuss the selection of cocktails DH will prolly mix up. But I'll stick to a glass or two of wine.
 
Oh that's a good idea about seeing how much we lose as a team. I'm for it.

I will set 3 this month as I will be away on vacation for a few days and may indulge...:-)

Ok, I will jump in.
Since it is July 8th already, I will say a 3 lb loss by Aug 1st would be most welcomed! Overall, I have a goal of 15lbs.

Count me in...! My goal is to lose 14 more lbs for our trip in September, so I'll set a goal of -6 lbs by August 1. Which makes me 0/6 for today. <sigh>...

Off to make a sensible, veg-loaded dinner!

Congrats, I do WW at home and my official weighin date is usually on Fridays....so....good or bad...I will report in tomorrow morning. Good night to all!
 
Good news........as of this morning.......drum roll please.....I lost 2 lbs!!!! WooHoo, I'm very happy. So I am 2/3 for July.

PS...I tried something new with my 3-4 mi workouts. I bought a "slim belt"....maybe that helped??
 
WTG Terri! :cheer2: Great job on your loss. I'm down a pound this morning too, making me 1/6. I'm using www.myfooddiary.com and loving it -- it really helps to keep me accountable.

Thanks for tracking our stats......After our cookout on Saturday night....everyone came back for brunch on Sunday....so I was hit with 2 days of bad food choices. Monday is a new day...lots o water, track points and extra mile on my workout.

I know exactly what you mean -- we had a birthday party for DH on Friday, a special homemade romantic birthday dinner on Saturday and a family reunion today! :eek: Not even getting on the scales till Wednesday. <sigh...> all that hard work, wrecked in one weekend!
 
I did one good thing....I gave away all leftovers...other than the fresh vegies. I made "better than sex" cake (so gooey and yummy) but sent all the remains home with DH's buddy!!!!
 
I've been really lucky at home food wise. We're not ones for entertaining nor do we go out much. Breakfast out on Sunday is our big thing and the last couple of week I have ordered Oatmeal.

Work is my problem. There is not one situation that is not attached to some kind of food or another. I now keep all my own food in my desk for those time to cut down on the temptation.
 
Ugh... nothing this morning...nada .. zippo... I suppose at least it's not a gain. This despite walking/running 8M yesterday. Brought my Nalogene 32oz bottle to work with me to try and start drinking more.

I have used www.fitday.com to track my food. It's a free on line journal that's pretty good, when i USE it.

How'd everyone else do?
