Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

I think I posted replies to everybody's posts. I am trying to get another installment posted but my boss doesn't seem to realize the fact that he needs to leave me the heck alone and quit giving me things to do.

Yesterday, I made a payment on our cruise and when I got the confirmation email, it said I could look at the reservation. Of course, I did. There was blue wording near our stateroom category that said something like "modify" and I clicked on it just because I could. Lo and behold there was a deluxe inside stateroom now available and it was only $90.00 to upgrade. I jumped on it immediately and was able to upgrade our stateroom.

Oh well, the boss is hollering again. If I hear JESUUUUUUUS CHRIST one more time, I'm going to smack him on the back of the head. I hate it when somebody says "Jesus Christ" like that. I would rather they say a cuss word.

Hooray on your cruise upgrade!!! Isn't it wonderful when opportunities like that pop up?

I'm with you on using JC that way and also when people say God D@*% it. Thou shalt not use the Lord's name in vain!! I just hate it, it makes me wince and I would much rather hear cussin too.

 Yay for an upgrade, and a cheap one at that!

Hopefully your boss will cooperate soon and let you get some Dis stuff done. What does he think, you have to work while you are there? :lmao:

That's awesome that you were able to upgrade your Stateroom, Lisa. :thumbsup2

I was happy to see that a deluxe came open and for just $90.00!

You know I love a good bargain and I thought that would be $90.00 well spent.

I've been watching for a deluxe inside stateroom to become available and was excited to see it pop up like that.

I can not STAND it when somebody says JC or GD either. When I was a kid, my Mama and Daddy said that you never ever used the Lord's name in vain and I don't. I think I'd rather hear the F word.

The boss is still at lunch so let's see how much I can get posted while he's gone. If I don't get much done, hang in there, he has a 2:00 appointment and I'm hoping to write more while the client is here.

While uploading more Animal Kingdom pictures to Photobucket, I round more of our walk from Pizzafari to the Tree of Life and then on to It's Tough To Be A Bug so I'll go ahead and post those:

Okay, I'm back to where I left off with us sitting in the theater waiting for the show to start. I took the following pictures without flash. Some came out okay and others were not so okay but I'll post them anyway:

100_1560.jpg

***Do any of you remember an old Disney Vacation Planning video (yes the old ones...not the DVDs) where the little girl talks about It's Tough To Be A Bug and she says something like "there were butterflies, real butterflies!". We still say that when talking about butterflies. It's funny how little things like that stick in your head. Movin' on.......

Where the heck is our host Flik? Oh Flik! Come out! Come out wherever you are! There he is!

100_1562.jpg

Once Flik introduced himself and gave us a little bit of info on what the show was about, the show started and we were pooted on, slapped at by a giant fly swatter, had nuts flung at us, dropped down on by humongous spiders and spit on by some little yellow bug. Oh and one can not forget the visit we got from that vile and vicious Hopper.

And we giggled and we laughed the entire time! Even when we had bugs crawling underneath our behinds! I love It's Tough To Be A Bug!

All caught up! Great photos, you got some really good ones!

We are staying at CBR for our (possible) next trip. Several people told me to check our your TR for info :goodvibes but I was already subbed anyway!

A quick CBR ? if you don't mind--

About how long of a walk is it to Centertown from the farthest rooms at CBR? DH doesn't want to pay more for a preferred building, but we are taking a 5 year old... Thanks!

Looking forward to reading more!

By the way, am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious when the people scream as the bugs crawl along the bench? Oh I am? :sad2: Oops! :lmao:

We, along with the other 252 thousand people, shuffled out of the theater and dropped our bug eyes in the bin. However, once out of the theater, we worked our way over to the side and let them go on down the path without us. Even though the pathway is pretty wide, I still don't like bumping my way down the path. I took pictures while we waited for some of the folks to clear out.

Another attraction on our to-do (or to-see list) was Dinosaur. We began to meander over to Dinoland but I had to stop at a bathroom first. Look at the cute bug tiles on the bathroom floor.

100_1585.jpg

Pit stop made.....Dinoland in sight!

***Another question for you guys and gals....Do ya'll remember when the Animal Kingdom first opened and they had Paleontologist working on recreating a dinosaur for real dinosaur bones? I can't remember the exact details but it seems like they had a large building/pavilion where you could walk through and watch them. They also had alligators and/or crocodiles in Dinoland at the time. Again...movin' on.

100_1591.jpg

100_1592.jpg

Every once in a while I would remember to take pictures of the posted wait times and I remembered to do it now:

100_1593.jpg

Uh oh, somebody walked in front of my camera. Let's try it again:

100_1594.jpg

30 minutes is not too bad so we hopped in line and waited.

100_1596.jpg

Why the heck is Hunter so excited when there's a huge dinosaur popping out of the building? Uh helllllo....dinosaurs can eat you!

100_1597.jpg

Well, if you're not scared Hunter, then why don't you pet this little guy under his neck:

100_1598.jpg

Hey, does this make you think of the movie Night at the Museum?

I'm glad that you're here and all caught up! I'll be happy to answer any CBR questions you have.

We have stayed in one of the furthest buildings from Old Port Royale (main pool, food court, marina, etc.) and our walk was about 5 minutes. My 77 year old mother had no problem making the walk there and back. A lot of folks say that they wouldn't stay at the CBR without paying for a preferred location but I honestly think it's not worth the extra money.

Let me see if I can put the walking distance into perspective a little....the entire resort promenade is 1.4 miles total. Old Port Royale is situated approximately in the middle of the promenade. So, even if you were in one of the furthest buildings, your walk will never be, roughtly, half of that 1.4 miles. I always make a point to walk the entire promenade at least once during our visits and the walks are so pleasant and relaxing.

We were shown into the pre-show area and were soon watching the film which detailed exactly what was going to be taking place once we boarded our Time Rover.

***Side note: I had no idea that Claire Huxtable was a lawyer, a mother AND a Paleontologist! Who knew?

100_1605.jpg

100_1606.jpg

100_1607.jpg

This dastardly fellow told us what was "really" going to take place:

100_1608.jpg

He was caught mid-story by Mrs. Huxtable. I thought for sure she'd grab him by the ear and drag him out of there but she didn't. He just got a good scolding:

100_1609.jpg

Mr. Dastardly Fellow reiterated his version of what was going to happen once Mrs. Huxtable was out of hearing range and we were told to proceed down the stairs to the loading area. I guess I didn't take any pictures of our Time Rover but I do have some really crappy pictures that I took while on our journey. Ever wonder just how dark it is in the Crusteaous period? This dark!

100_1615.jpg

And this dark:

100_1618.jpg

Yeah, taking pictures inside Dinosaur! Not such a good plan.

As in the past, we wanted to stage a picture and this time our plan was for Lacey to be texting, John talking on the phone, me taking pictures and Hunter listening to his MP3 player. The picture turned out GREAT! Everyone in the waiting area was commenting on our picture and asking us where we came up with the idea. And that's when I was recognized again....by another Diser whose name I failed to get. We talked for just a minute because her husband was waiting on her. I went to buy the picture and the castmember who pulled it up laughed and showed it to the other castmembers. ***I'll scan the picture and post it for you all to see. I didn't think about needing it to write this installment.

***Up next: Cruising and screaming!

Good grief..you'd think your silly boss was giving you a paycheck to actually accomplish something! The nerve!

Great catch noticing the bug tiles in the bathroom! I love finding little details like that. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see your Dinosaur picture...what a cute idea!

I know! What's up with him wanting me to actually work?

After looking at the tiles on the floor, I think those could be either bugs or maybe even frogs. :confused3

I hope to get the picture scanned tonight. I have an order for six of my pillowcase dresses and I am working on the last one. I promised to get them mailed out tomorrow so I may not have time to scan it.

Great updates, Lisa.

I, for one, know two little girls who have NEVER done It's Tough to be a Bug...and their mother refuses to do it. :lmao::lmao: Personally, it's a favorite of mine. I also love Dinosaur...it's a great ride. Can't wait to see your "planned" photo.

I am loving your update. Great pictures. Especially the one on your way to Dino Land and it looks like there is a little hooligan flipping a bird. :rotfl2: He looks awful young to be doing that, maybe he is holding something up.

I wonder if you can get them to see It's Tough To Be A Bug while Mary waits outside? I love it and Dinosaur too!

Do you know that you are the first person who noticed that? I didn't even realize he was doing it until I uploaded the pictures. He looks like a "hooligan" alright.

I love It's Tough to be a Bug!! I find it hilarious!

I'm pretty sure I did see crocodiles in Dinoland last August. They were on a path off to the side, close to that fast-food restaurant that no good Diser ever eats at.

I cannot wait to see that picture of you guys on Dinosaur! I don't know if it was offered to you, but when we bought out ride photo of Tower of Terror they gave us a special photopass card. On it was the digital version of our ride photo and we could download it for free.

I enjoyed ITTBAB, but my sister's and parents hated it. My mom and one of my sisters get sick from 3D as it is, and the other HATES bugs, so it made sense that they wouldn't like it. I skipped it last time, but plan on seeing it again this trip since I will have 2 days at AK.

I can't wait to see the planned photo. I would love to do one next month, but can't think of any good ideas for just myself to do.

And that boy is definitely flipping the bird! :scared1:

Your dinosaur picture sounds hysterical. GREAT idea! I can't wait to see it. :thumbsup2

I always laugh when the first person screams at the bugs in their seat. Then I split second later I feel it. I will admit, it is a little startling. Weird sensation, that's for sure.

Your pictures are great - especially the tree of life shots. I never tried to take pics in ITTBAB, but now I might have to try!

Fun update.

Oh yeah - congrats on the cruise update!

I have never been over to Dinoland… I've only been to AK for 2 halfdays. And both times my focus and reason for being there was the safari. :confused3 I thought we'd do more AK with Cortlyn last year, but it just didn't work out that way. But, Disney ain't going nowhere and I've got what… 20 more years before she runs off to get married to experience all of AK with my sweet girls!!!

Just getting caught up on your last couple of updates.

That's great you were able to get that upgrade for your cruise cabin. The deluxe one should probably be a little bigger, I have heard that DCL cabins are a little bigger than most cruise line cabins but every little bit of space helps.

I love all your safari and Pangani trail pics, the ones of the Gorillas were funny. I guess the little baby wasn't out that time. We missed both trails when we were there in May, MIL and I really wanted to see the Gorillas and Tigers but we were outvoted :sad1:

I am one that remembers that cute little girl from the videos talking about the Butterflies, I love that video, the ones like that one from years ago were better, IMO.

I admit I do squeal a little bit when the bugs go across the seat and when the bees "sting" you, even though I know about them, they still get me by surprise, LOL.

I can't wait to see your Dinosaur Pic.
