Jumping Ahead of a Walk?

I'm looking at the new RAT and it appears you can now book partial requests ahead of the 11 month mark. It's now 11months+7days, even if the first few days are unavailable.

When I select May 22-May 29 for Jambo Value Studio, even though May 22 and May 23 of that category is unavailable (May 23 is actually waitlist only) the option to do only 5 of the 7 days seems to be available to book.

Does that mean people will now have to walk every day of the reservation? Can someone with AKV confirm that you can actually book days May 24-29 today despite May 22 and 23 being unavailable? Not my home resort so I can't get past the calendar.

That seems to suggest MS is going to be tied up with daily walkers now as every walker will be on 11months+7days.

No change....you still can't book without having the first nights available.

Just tried it and no it will not allow you to actually book those future nights since May 22 and 23 are already full for studios.

Thanks for checking. I got a similar message but thought that was a limitation on my end as a non-home resort owner.

It is supposed to let you modify an existing reservation, but currently it won't let you do it if there isn't full availability for your trip, even if you have the unavailable dates already booked. Just chatted with someone and they told me that this is a known issue that is being worked on right now, but probably won't be fixed today.

I personally think that they should have closed online booking while member services is only taking calls for the members cruise, that way everyone would be on a level playing field.
