jumpiness of threads on the dis due to ads

Ad Blocker Plus is working great for me on both PC (Firefox) and MAC (Firefox).

I also just read an article (here) which shows how IOS 9 now supports content blockers directly in Safari by downloading Ad Blocker apps directly from the App Store. Haven't tried it yet since I don't read the DIS on my iPhone or iPad. If you try this make sure you don't download an Ad Block Browser.

I paid for the APP suggested in this article - Crystal. Thought it was worth a shot. No dice. This site http://giveaway-day.com-us-d.net/ne...isoCode":"ON","name":"Ontario"}],"cp":"M5M"}} keeps popping up. At times the boards are completely unusable. It keeps routing me to this site over & over

How the heck did you figure THAT out? I just added "facebook.net" to AdBlock Plus and no more jumpy white screens! Of course, I bet my phone is still messed up.

That sounds a little bit different than an AD blocking situation.

I guess it's not just my browser doing this. very annoying and limiting, I am not using the boards as much because I have to wait for it to load, jump a few times and then reload.

Neither one. It's only on the DIS. I've never had problems before, but the redirect started a couple days ago when the page jumpiness started for me. I'm pretty sure this is a DIS problem & site specific. Sigh.

Once I put an ad block app on my phone the issues or redirecting and jumping seem to have stopped.

As a work around you could download Chrome (or other web browser) for your iPhone and see if you still have the same issue.

Other than that the only other thing I can think of is to delete and restore your iPhone.

I also agree that we shouldn't have to download programs to fix something that occurs on the disboards. I am really upset to the point that I don't come to the boards as often as I used to. It's just not enjoyable anymore. I am on the hunt for other unofficial disney web sites to enjoy.

I have Ad Block. Under options, it gives me a "block ad by URL." I put in facebook.net and nothing changed. When I click on any thread, the top of my screen goes white and in the bottom left it still says, "waiting for facebook.com."

I sort of agree, but I have it installed anyway for viewing many other sites on the internet. On the other hand, if it allows the site to remain free of charge then perhaps it's not such a bad thing. (assuming the DIS gets some revenue from these ADs)

I'm getting redirected to some 'you won a free apple product' site. Only when I'm on the DIS. I can't cancel it or anything. It's not even opening another window. Tried Safari & Chrome on iphone & Ipad.

I'm having the exact same problem as you and it's driving me INSANE!!!
Clearing history doesn't help me.

I noticed this morning I'm back to the "normal" jumpiness (a couple lines). I no longer get the white screen when navigating within Dis.

Ad blocking software on my Mac, iPhone and iPad makes surfing the web a much more enjoyable experience.

I use AdBlock on my Mac and Purify on my iPhone and iPad.

My husband just downloaded Adblock fast, but you need to be running I0S9 in order to download it. I haven't had a pop up since. Hope this solves my problem. Maybe it will solve your problem. Good luck!
