:confused3

Have a great week! -- Connie

Another perfect day here in Hooterville. 60 degrees and a sun shine and a gentle breeze. I hope this weather stays, it's nicew in the morning and doesn't get hot till late morning. Perfect for morning exercisers like me.

I did a first mile of 14:30 to warm up then a 3 miler in 36:14 for about a 12:04 pace. I was happy with that since it was very comfortable and hilly. I still need to do some intervals but just can't get excited about that right now. Intervals are 2 min 20 sec of pain followed by 4 min of recovery, followed by 2 min 20 sec opf pain...... Fun Huh?

I did a nice upper body workout after the walk and stretching.

Denise, dang girl your little feet were flying this morning.:yay:

Connie, I wanna fish to.

One of my best buds at work is a girl who just graduated from WKU with a teaching certificate to teach French but there are no jobs in our area for a French teacher. She can also teach Spanish but doesn't want to since she is not as comfortable with Spanish, although there are jobs available in that.

Have a great morning y'all.

Walking Panda:hippie:

Hi everybody!!

I am trying really hard to lose weight....I want te 405.

My walking totals for this week are:

15 miles for me
3 miles for Mike

Erica:)

Good evening,

Denise, I must say that after the Tour de France, the Olympics is the event to watch and what I like with CBC is that they show almost every event even when no Canadians are qualified. They show the Best in the world. Which seems logical to me. I have read in a magazine, I think it was Runner's World, that the people who live just south of the Canadian border were lucky to get CBC or Radio-Canada because of the way they present the games. My favorite event is equestrian (dressage, eventing and jumping). In 1976, during the Montréal Olympics, I did spend the two weeks at Bromont. What memories...

I was wondering if we could add the name of a participant of the Tour de France on the team:rolleyes: 3500 km in 21days ; that would put us on top of the competition for a least a couple of months:lmao:

Panda, tell your friend to come up here, we need more teachers. She could teach to a lot of latinos that are coming up here to start a new life.

Today was a real day of vacation since I have done nothing but rest and read the latest book by Linda Fairstein.

Erica...You Can Do It! I am working on it with you this month...Started on the South Beach Diet July 1st...Oh, it is not easy. One of the joys of getting older seems to be it gets harder to lose those extra pounds. :rolleyes1

Nice walk :hippie:

Connie, Enjoy - I think I am the only one who would rather read than fish. :upsidedow

Scott, Please...be kind, some of us are on diets :headache:

Major Thunder Storms tonight - REST DAY for me :goodvibes

Margie I haven't fished in 15 years and I haven't hunted in much longer. I do love to read though and really like hugs from pretty princesses.

Silly old Panda:hippie:

Margie - I've done SBD before. I love the ricotta desserts!! Good luck though...as with any other eating plan, it us hard work!

Erica - You can do it!! 405 is in the future!!

Dave - I really need to get started on more intervals and speed work. Keep it up..I know those aren't the "fun" days of training!

Denise and Scott anndd Margie I think - I saw The Stick at our local running store last night and I was half tempted to pick it up. How much was it at the expo? Do you remember? It was $25 there.

As for me...not much new. Still truckin on the training. I have 4 miles and some floor work today (if I have time for the floor). Just kinda blah this morning. It's humid and rainy. I'm hoping it gets nice for the weekend. We want to ride the motorcycle to Cleveland to watch the fireworks tomorrow and I am throwing that baby shower on Sunday. Fingers crossed for sunshine!! :sunny:

Happy training!

Morning everyone! I just received an invitation to a friend's wedding reception - unfortunately it's on the same day as my 1/2 in September. I hope I won't be too tired after the race. I guess it's better to have the reception on Sunday evening after the race rather than Saturday evening before the race.

Took my 405 out for a walk yesterday at lunch. I'm not sure it works very well downtown with the buildings. It had me walking anywhere from 7.5 m/m to 50 m/m and in the end I had an extra 1.5 miles on my walk. I went home and downloaded the data from my watch and it seems the 405 had me walking in a zig-zag all over the downtown core! It didn't even get my start location correct. I'm guessing it's the buildings because it wasn't very cloudy yesterday. I'll give it another try today but it's fairly overcast so I'm not sure the results will be any different.

Have a great day and keep up the great work everyone!

Morning Kids,

Eva, I think we paid a little more for our Stick, I want to say we got the middle of the line one, would like to get a travel one, shorter in length.

Late start on the basement today, sending offmy resume and letter for a new job, will see what happens, if I didn't I would always wonder what if.

Short walk with teh pups, should have run as the weather was perfect, overcase, mist and 60's.

Vicky , building and GPS can be a prob.

I over estamated our dry wall and had 14 sheets to haul up the stairs adn back to Lowes, two sheets at a time so we should get some weight training time in. Lynn is really sore, she has worked really hard.

All teh sheey rock is up time to mudd and sand. Dust City to follow.

No plans for the 4th yet.

Later Team Dudes and Dudetts, You all rock, can't wait to meet our new friends.

Eva, bike ride sounds like fun, I really need to get new tires and new batteries for our bikes, seems like too much work and home projects to get them together.

Slept in till 6:30 today. Had an hour of PT this morning and then to work. Out at 3 today so I’m almost done. Tonight we’re going to see Wall-E, tomorrow fish bar-b-queue, Sat out with friends for dinner. Gee, I wanted to lose weight but at the rate I’m going, I’ll be happy to maintain!

My problem for today, it was dress down day here at work (boss was away) and I had 6 pairs of jeans to pick from!! Yikes, I never knew I had so many that didn’t fit me and now they do!

Erica, the scale has not moved for weeks but the inches have, we’ll keep plugging away at it, you for your garmin, me for the skirt for Miranda’s wedding.

I may go for 4-5 miles when I get home – depends on the temp.

Have a good one, enjoy the weekend even if you have to work, will check in now and then.

denise

VR, I have a stick and rarely use it, I have a massage thing from Brookstone that I use and the family used too after the 1/2 in January. Keeps the blood going in the legs, lower back and of course for me - my neck.

Hey Denise...about the massage thing that keeps the blood flowing. That reminds me of these wonderful contraptions that they had on my legs when I had my anesthesia for my surgery in April. They had a battery attatched to them and they massaged my legs in a rolling motion...I guess to keep the blood flowing properly while I was "out". I kept thinking (before I dozed off) I would LOVE these on my legs after a LR!! I bet they are only for hospitals and expensive as "all-get-out" but they were soooo very nice!!

I'm just getting ready to close out my day of playing airport and head home. Grocery store salad bar is calling my name!!! Yummm!

Happy 4th!!

Still hoping for the bike riiiideeee!!! :moped:

Eva, my stick is the 24-inch one. You can check them out at www.thestick.com. Sorry, I cannot remember how much I paid for it. I like it. :goodvibes

Denise, what is the massage thing from Brookstone?

Scott, I think Lynn needs a good massage! :goodvibes

Gym this morning, Lower Body workout, bike, crunches, and stretching. It is down to 72 degrees, so I think I will go for a walk.

HAPPY 4th!

Hi team.

Like Erica I will be celabrating the holiday at work. But that's ok we get our weekend together on monday and tuesday. She or I have never had a normal job.

Scott that sounds interesting that "What if" on the resume, please PM me and tell me about it. And I agree with Margie, Lynn has earned a massage.

I don't have a stick I have a rubber rolling pin I bought for 5 bucks that does a good jop but I might spring for a stick this year.

Have a wonderfull evening y'all and a super holiday weekend.

Eva thank you for the Muppets. I love them. When we go to WDW I have to go to all the 3-D shows. I feel like a kid watching them and wnating to reach out and touch the 3-D characters floating around the theater.

We went to Gatlinburg one year for the 4th and discovered that they have the first parade in the nation, it starts and midnight on the 3rd. It's a good parade also and if you your staying on the main road you cvan sit on your balcony and watch from your room.

A toast to all my fellow Americans and our wonderfull Canadian friends.

Happy Birthday Day USA,

Eva, thanks for the link, KEWL!!!!!

Got us early and got a long run in nice sunrise, having a lazy breakfast. Just a little more mudding to do on the basement.

Dave the resume was sent off for a Director of Training position, I can work from home and would have some travel involved. Developing trainging in the area of high tech crimes etc etc ... would have a staff of about 6 people. The organization is based in Sacramento so I might be able to Robert and Linda every now and then, we will see - lots to explore and make sure the water is deep enough before I make the leap.

Just a little more to tape up in the basement, planning taking off Sunday to rest up from the week.

Erica, I understand not having holidays off,

Enjoy and be safe,

Oh OKOKOK Lynn will get a massage.

Happy 4th of July to my American friends!

I went out for a quick run last night before dinner. Gotta get those miles in for July! I was fighting a headache which started in the middle of the run. I wonder if it was too sunny. Dunno.

Eva - I'll have to check out that link when I get home. I love the Muppets though!

Scott - Good luck with the job application! :)

Denise - I'm curious about the massage thing from Brookstone too.

Erica - I use to have to work holidays too. I didn't mind too much since it was usually quiet. I did miss spending the day with friends/family though. Hopefully your work day will go quickly!!

Everyone - Have a great (long) weekend!
