Hello everyone! My name is Rose and I’m filling in for Julie this month. This has been a great tool for me to keep on track with my workouts, and I hope it is for you, too! We still have 1/2 a year left to make some good choices and healthy habits!

In case you needed a reminder of why you're getting sweaty, here's something from the Mayo Clinic. I had to make #6 more DIS friendly.:thumbsup2

1. Exercise improves your mood.
2. Exercise combats chronic diseases.
3. Exercise helps you manage your weight.
4. Exercise boosts your energy level.
5. Exercise promotes better sleep.
6. Exercise can put the spark back into your love life.
7. Exercise can be — gasp — fun!


Commit to as many minutes of exercise as you wish. Please post at the top of your post, ex: 60/600

Rose, thanks for taking over for Julie for July! I know I don't get here as often as I should, but just knowing you all are here keeps me moving even when I am not online much!

My goal for July will be 1300 min. Much less than usual for me, but still may be a stretch for me due to injury. I do promise to show up here more often, too! :yay: It just feels good to be here!

Thanks for hosting, Rose! I will be gone from 7/20 - 8/9 in FL....visiting my Dsis & then a cruise.

Put me down for 3000 again. I surely need it and I don't cruise til 7/31.

I thought I'd come out of lurking on this board since I actually "see" someone I recognize...:lmao: To be honest, this WISH board makes no sense to me. What are these numbers you guys are posting. Hours/minutes/steps. As you can see, I'm clueless. I've tried to find a place for myself on this board but it confuses me so.;) Can someone fill me in?

I can try but I'm new here too...so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Basically you commit to how many minutes you will spend a month working out. The first number is how many actual minutes you've worked out. The second number is your goal. So for an example...60/750. That would mean I've worked out for 60 minutes so far this month and my goal is 750. I hope that makes sense. I loved taking part last month for a few reasons. I felt more accountable which I need. Also, it made me realize that I'm not doing as much as I could or should be.

So with all that said....my goal for this month is 750.

KinziePooh explained this thread pretty well. Just a place to commit to exercise and post how you're doing. We track in minutes.

This is my last full month before our August trip to the world and B2B cruises. I have 9 pounds to go on my original goal and only about 6 weeks to do it. I've lost 8 so far, but it's taken me 16 weeks to do that. So I'm realistic, but hopeful. ;)

Thanks Rose for keeping us honest.
 
Okay let's do it again...1400! We leave for Scotland on the 25th...gotta do some shrinking so that plane will be more comfortable :banana:
 
I'm ready! 1,400 for me this month. I have to take DD to summer school for the next 5 weeks, so I'll be up early and ready to go.

Made my goal last month, so I'm feeling good. :) When I decided to set a goal, I wasn't sure if I could make it but actually setting a goal and keeping track of my progress here made all of the difference! It really motivated me to get up and move on those days when it was the last thing I wanted to do.

Yea for trips!!!!

Lots of great goals being set! Hope everyone is getting off to a great start. We are "tapering" for a race on Saturday, so it's killing me that I won't get any minutes until then!:thumbsup2

128 min yesterday with the dog(s). About 5 with the husky fast and then about .75 with each of the yorkies MUCH slower.

My walking goal for the year was 750 miles and I'm currently at 439.33. Not bad! Now if only this weight would start disappearing!

Hi everyone! :)

Okay, it's time for me to stop lurking the W.I.S.H. boards and commit already! We're going to UNI/IOA in September and I'd love to enjoy the Wet & Wild water park without worrying about my thighs. ;)

So please put me down for 1500! I started INSANITY yesterday, (ouch!) so I'm now at 95/1500.

Hi Rose,

I started the month strong with 40 yesterday and 35 today bringing me to 75/750. I'll let you know if I decide to increase my goal. With my new "diet" need, more exercise certainly couldn't hurt. Thanks,
