Morning updates done...

Had a great race. 72 minutes for 10K... good pace for my first 10K race.

Race report will be in the Events section on the Racing thread for today.

I'm counting 80 minutes including my cool down walk afterward.

Total for the month so far 228/1600

Great race time, Ted!

It's blistering hot here today so I spent an hour and 45 minutes in the pool! I swam constantly and I'm nice and tired out now.

New total:

205/1200

Ted, congratulations on the 10K - that's a great time!

I'm staying inside today. I have been doing fairly well walking outside but only if it's really early or really late. Today is my day off.

Next Monday I will start in a walking group that will hopefully train me on my form so I can decrease my pace time a little bit. The coaches, in our initial meeting, were super encouraging about my progress so far.

With the walking, weights, a work out DVD, and my power walking pup, I've logged 338 minutes so far.

That puts me at 338/2000.

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!!!

I am up to

115/1000 minutes

32000/310000 steps

Keep up the good work everyone.

Happy 4th

Just took the dog for a walk, so my new total is

65/800

Saturday should add to that number considerably...I have six miles to do for race training!! Eeeek!!!

July 3
30 minutes walking

July 4
60 minutes walking
25 minutes Wii Boxing
30 minutes Wii Fit plus

Claiming 30 minutes of exercise... went running around a friends neighborhood looking for our lost dog... he got spooked by fireworks a neighbor of theirs set off and ran away.

He was lost for about 2 hours before some folks found him hiding out in their garage about a half mile away.

Fortunately, they eventually found him and gave us a call.. a happy ending to a stressful 4th of July evening for all of us.

Total 258/1600. Everyone's updated through this post.

Ted

60 minutes; treadmill, including 15 minutes with weights

Hi Ted!

Thanks for starting up the July exercise challenge for us. I'd like to join, if it's not too late.

My goal is smaller this month due to a cycling injury from last week's crash. Ugh! I can't exercise just yet but as soon as the doctor gives me the :thumbsup2, I'll start in.

My goal is 800 minutes.

Thanks!

Susie

7/4: 30 minutes on the treadmill and I'm back up to jogging a mile without stopping! That made me happy!

70/700

Hope everyone had a great 4th! 60 minutes today. We ran and I did an ab workout.

Absolutely, you're welcome to join still.

Hope you heal up soon.

All progress updated in the first post through this point in the thread.

Thanks for the update, Ted. Great 10K time! :thumbsup2 Glad that you found your poor dog.

Susie - hope you are back to 100% soon. :)

I am at 175/1600.:goodvibes

I am glad you found your dog Ted! Congrats on your 10k. I ran one yesterday too.:goodvibes It's a great way to spend the 4th!

;)Unfortunately I slept in yesterday until 6. The heat built too fast and I had a terrible run attempt. Had to mostly walk home.

But I walked the dogs 1.3 mi, then ran/walked 2.5 mi so I was still active!

Way to go Dona!!

Cam when do you leave for your trip?

We leave next Saturday. I am sure the next 9 days will fly, especially with trying to get in a lot of my exercise minutes for the month.

Susie - I just read about your accident. Oh my goodness! How are you feeling now. I thank God you were wearing your bike helmet. I shudder to think of what could have happened. I am sorry you are not unharmed, but grateful you are doing okay. Thinking of you and sending a hug, my friend.
