July Birthday Trip - CBR, POP, or AOA? OR CSR? Throwing that in also.

Trying to decide where to stay for my birthday trip in July. (Solo, adult.)

I’m currently booked into a King room at CBR, but looked at things and could save $265 for a LM room at AOA, $416 for a Preferred Room at Pop, or $511 for a Standard Room at Pop. So all would be on the Skyliner. I live in NYC and walk everywhere, so walking is not an issue. I’m a bit worried about the SATGs at Pop and thinking I might have less of them at one of the others? But not sure.

WWYD?

Any thoughts? Is Pop ground zero for the 15s? What about the other 2 (AoA or CBR)?

We stayed in POP in2018 when it was just DH and me. We did stay preferred, and were relatively close to the main building. It was fine- no extras, but we only sleep there. We stay in the parks til very late. For us, I would save the money to be used for other perks while at Disney. Enjoy your stay!

It sounds like your main concerns are the SATGs. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t choose any of those resorts. They’ll be using the skyliner, so I just figure you’ll have plenty of encounters with them at all 3 Skyliner resorts.

I thought they've gone to having their own private group busses, getting them off the WDW transportation. At least last year they were never in the lines for busses at Music (in spite of them being there - though fortunately it was a more all-generations group there and then).

I would keep CBR. I find it more enjoyable than the values.

Maybe so. But this is the first summer of the skyliner. I imagine they’ll want to ride them. I can’t see why they’d be denied.

What about throwing CSR into the mix. I'm not wedded to the Skyliner, and I could do a Standard room there for just a smidge less than AoA.

I’d pay a smidge more and try to get a standard room in the Tower. I really love the theming of the Ranchos section, but not the walk in the heat/rain to the main building in July.

The Tower rooms are a good bit more. I live in NYC and walk everywhere, even in the summer (and don't have central air in the apartment), so heat doesn't really bother me - I just stay hydrated.

Then standard sounds like a good fit for you.

Have a look at U tube videos for CBR and CSR to see which appeals to you.
For me, the resort plays a big part of my vacay. ESP in summer when we spend afternoons at our resort for a pool break.

Thanks all! I decided to go with CSR. It's been ages since I stayed there, but since the reno it looks really nice. I already had Sangria University scheduled, so this will be a nice plus! :)
