Day Four How do you work this fanny pack thing and theres room at the Inn but no parking.
July 12
Were at the gates of IOA around 9:15 am. DH has forgotten his pass in the room and had to go back for it. I hang with the others until we meet up with DH at 11:00 at Green Eggs and Ham. Dh and I have already decided that we need to split up. We just have a certain pace and they dont.
DSiss plan was to hit Hulk and both Dueling Dragons before 10:00 am when the passes for the express book became valid. Nice plan. After we enter the park, DBIl decides he needs a fanny pack. So while he goes in a store to look for one, DSis and I go to the lockers to put their overnight bag in and a bag I had bought with a change of clothes for after the water rides. We do not pick the top row!!!!
We get back to the meeting spot and discover that DBILs brother has decided that he too needs a fanny pack so they are both now shopping. DSis needs a cigarette so we tell the guys where to meet us. The guys get back to us and were off toward the Hulk. No, wait a minute. The fanny pack DBIL bought isnt closing rightthe clasp isnt catching. We need to wait while he goes to exchange it. DSis sits down and puts her head in her hands. After DBIL gets back were off toward the Hulk. No, wait a minute. DBILs brother has never used a fanny pack, he needs a minute to figure out how to arrange his stuff in it and use it. OOOOKKKKKAAAAYYYYY. It's a pouch with a zipper----not some high tech military gizmo. So we EVNETAULLY get on the Hulk. Then its 10:45 so we decide to go to Green Eggs to see if DH is there. On the way over DSis says that we should split up today since she can tell DHs nerves are wearing thin. We decide to meet at 4:0 pm at Mythos for dinner/lunch and separate.
DH and take our time and wander through Suess Landing. We do Cat in the hat and then while DH takes a smoke break I get a piece of fudge. We then head over to DD and ride Fire. We need to eat by this time so we go into the place right across from DDpart of it is the Alchemy Bar the other part is a food place with bar b q chicken and ribs. LOVED this place. We also took some times and checked out all the shops in the Lost Continent.
We continued around the park and did Jurassic Park. After JP we headed to the other water rides and passed the other group. We stopped to chat for a few minutes. Then onto Dudley Doo right. I got soaked on this ride. While DH went off to do the other ride, I went and changed into the dry clothes I had bought with me. Met DH at Spiderman and did that. By then it was time to meet for lunch/dinner. Mythos was ok but I must have really built up my expectations. After dinner DH and I went to check into the Holiday Inn across from Universal. Youll have to read tomorrow to hear all about that stay (what a loser!!!) How many times does the crime scene unit have to come before an area is officially declared a bad area?
Anyway, DH goes back to the park and I stay in the room to read and get some shut eye. Which I did and which I was until DH came in around 10:00pm----really irate. Seems there was no parking at the Holiday Inn..every spot including the handicapped were full. He had to park down the street in the Cracker Barrel and hope our car was still there in the morning. When he stopped at the front desk they told him sorry but the hotel was sold out. Im now awake and cant sleep so I watch the Wedding Planner while DH goes to sleep. Having woken me up and vented he was now ready to sleep.
