Hi Matt! Welcome to our group! This is also our first Disney cruise, so any suggestions or tips you may have to help us "newbies" would be greatly appreciated!!! We are also hoping that all of the cool excursions aren't already booked up by the time we are able to finally check in! This wait is killing us!!! Lol :)

Good luck getting a cabana at CC!!! We'll keep our fingers crossed for ya! Let us know how it goes!!! Welcome again & we're looking forward to meeting everyone in July!!! :)

Matt;

Speaking of the Cabana's on CC; do you remember what the cost is to use one for the day? Do they allow children in the area that has Cabana's? What are the benefits?

Since you have went on a Disney Cruise maybe you can share some information about them?

I am hoping this will be a vacation my daughter and I will never forget!!!

The family cabanas that allow children are $499 and the adult ones are $399 for the day. The only reason we want one this year is to give my 83 year old grand mother a place to get out of the sun. The beach infront of the cabanas are less crowded, personal private freshwater showers, sunscreen, beach toys, and drinks and snacks.

You will be very pleased with this cruise, it is great like i said. Make sure and let the photographers take your pictures as much as possible, this will give you much more options at shutters.

You guys mentioned the dining times. Those are start times, you can go to dinner anytime in your allotted dinning group time. We did the late dinner last year and it was a bit much for a 3yo, so we are doing the early time this year.

Take a personal cup for sure for soda on the deck. Also if you plan on drinking water, the water plan from the website is cheaper then when you get on board.

Nassau was okay not my favorite. I always felt like I was going to get pocketed.

Disney does a great job with whatever they do. Trust me it will be a blast!

If the excursions do book up don't worry, when we are in port that's the best time to swim in the pools onboard.

Last year i didn't even know about this board. We were nervous wrecks taking or daughter on her first cruise, our first cruise for that matter. The thing about it was it was so well put together it felt like home. We plan to make gold as soon as possible!

Who's doing the checkin at midnight on April 23rd for us newbies???

I AM I AM I AM!!!!

VERY EXCITED!!!!

Which time zone is the Check In open from? Might be a decent time of day for me, one can hope.

Morning!!

I believe it is at 12 AM Eastern Standard Time; I live in Florida so it will be super late for me but I will stay up as the earlier you check-in the earlier your PAT (Port Arrival Time) will be assigned....I want to be on the ship early and look around to get accustomed to everything and then when the rooms are ready I can simply go to the room without worry about how to get around the ship.

I'll be right there with ya...counting down the minutes until midnight!!! However, I do have a question. Maybe Matt can answer this one for me. Is it best to check in before booking excursions or vice versa??? We have our hearts set on one particular excursion and we're hoping & praying that it's not already completely full!!! Any advice for this newbie???

In case I haven't already mentioned this: WE ARE SO EXCITED!!! :)

I cannot speak to that as this is only my second cruise. I know that we had no problems last year and we checked in online first.

Hold on about 5 days though and I'll answer your question better...silver checkin is on the 8th. Woo hoo! :-)

Ok! Thanks so much! Good luck trying to get that cabana! I'll be sending positive thoughts your way!!! :)

The cruise is getting so close! I have started my online check-in today! I cannot wait for this cruise and I am very excited for the fish extender portion!

I think it will be about 2pm for me for check in. Will be doing it at work for sure!

It should be under the castway cay excursions or you could call. They have changed the website since my last cruise so not 100% sure.

They only had one left for the adult beach and none for the family beach. I booked the last cabana on the adult beach but my friend and I are more than willing to share.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the adult beach, my 4 yo daughter will be with us. I'll just have to keep an eye out for one! Thanks!

I found a pretty cool app for my phone. It is called Ship Mate Disney Cruiseline. It is pretty neat and had some useful features, just thought I would throw it out there!
