July 7, 2013 - 4 Night Bahamian Cruise - Disney Dream

All you have to do is get the magnet templates and then print them on magnet type paper through an inkjet printer.

I never thought of Wave Phone holders....interesting idea. Did the DISer tell you what kind of magnets to print on??

I was thinking about having someone create some magnets for us too....who did you use???

I used Eva's Cruise DIsigns. She creates designs for free that you can just print off at home. I found her under the general topic thread here on the DIS board. I'm pretty sure you can buy magnetic sheets at office supply stores such as Office Max or Office Depot. That's what we are going to do. I hope this helps! :)

We bought our Wave Phone holders off from Etsy. I've read that they charge you $250 if you lose or damage one of these phones. With a teenager, I didn't want to take this risk!!! She drops her iPhone ALL the time. LOL :) I think the holders were around $15 each. I thought it was a pretty wise investment!!!

I'm really hoping we get more people to participate in the FE exchange!!! Once we do, I'll make a spread sheet with all of the information to keep it organized for everyone. Plus, that way everyone can print the list off if they want to! :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone in July!!! :)))

Thanks for the info. I made some stuff myself but I just requested some stuff from Eva tonight....she does amazing work!!!

I also bought a fish extender off of eBay tonight....it only has 2 pockets which is fine since its my daughter and I only anyway.

I'm sure there will be many more people doing the FE thing....they will trickle into the thread as we get closer to the sailing date.

It's very nice of you to volunteer to put a spreadsheet together....I would volunteer but I am way too busy.....I'm up sometimes till 3am working on stuff!!!

It's no problem at all! I actually really enjoy organizing things, but I have to admit, I tend to be a little OCD at times!!! LOL :) I just really like to be organized & hate waiting until the last minute!!!

We are buying our fish extender as well! That's on my list of things to do!!! Lol :)

I've also read that the cups at the beverage station are extremely small & you have to go back multiple times for refills, so we are looking into having some Disney cups or water bottles made...my daughter's idea!!! :)

Please feel free to share any tips you've read that might be helpful!!! Since we are all first time cruisers, I'm open to any & all suggestions that may come in handy!!! I'm a little overwhelmed & I'm trying to educate myself by reading these boards whenever I have any free time!!! :)

It's funny that you said OCD....I'm in mental health!!! Sorry, the only way I get through my days sometimes is with a little nutty humor!!!

I am actually buying the package you can get and it's ready in your stateroom when you get on the cruise...it has a small backpack, waterproof playing cards, and 2 bottles for drinks. They are 20 or 22 oz. bottles....the whole thing is 56 dollars. You can find info on the per-cruise ordering online at the Disney cruise website.

Are you going to try to do any tastings onboard??

LOL...it's fine!!! My family gives me a hard time about it all the time!!!

Thanks for the info. about the package! I'll have to look into that! It sounds like a pretty good deal!

I actually haven't looked into doing any of the onboard tastings, but I think I'd really enjoy it! Are you going to try to do some? Sounds interesting!

Jaime

I'm going to try to sign up for a couple of the tastings depending in what tastings are available.

We also have the 2nd seating for dinner. They try to pair up like-minded families so since its you and your daughter and me with my daughter we might get paired together to eat....that would be funny!!

Ok...time for me to get some sleep....busy day tomorrow....driving from Orlando to Winter Haven for the day.....have a great night!!!!

Yes, that would be funny!!! :)

Have a great night!!! :)

We are second seating as well. Apparently that mostly happens when booking in Australia.... but that is cool later probably is better for us anyway.

Where do you find all the information about packs you can order?

Wow! Can't believe we all have 2nd seating! It would be funny if we all got to sit together!:)

2nd seating is much better than first!!!!

I don't like the idea of eating at 5:45 when I can be outside enjoying the beautiful weather and sunset before dinner!!!

That was my thinking too. At home I don't even get home from work by that time so it would be a very different schedule to eat so early.

Maybe if you had young children it would be good though.

I have been reading through lots of the boards and I am getting very excited but it is still so far away! Hopefully the time goes quickly.

Jaime;

You said you ordered wave-phone holders??? Can you tell me from where??? A website??? How much were they?? I am thinking about ordering some too!!

Hi Roy!

I ordered them from etsy.com. It's a site similar to eBay that specializes in handmade items, only you don't have to bid on items. I searched for disney wave phone holders. There are several different people who make them. It all depends on what you are looking for, in terms of characters, designs, and so forth. The ones I bought were $14.99 each. I have bought several different items on there & it is a very reputable site! I hope this helps!!! :)
