Okay, so I just saw you say Morristown and looked at your location and see you're from Andover, NJ. Wow! I am from Montville, which is about 15 minutes east of Morristown. I went to high school in Morristown. Neat to have someone else from the area on the ship!

that's cool, i find it fun when I meet people on vacation who know about the area I live or around there. My one cruise I met people who lived in Byram which is a town I know well since I have lived in Andover all my life besides living till I was a year old in netcong

I was so glad to see a thread for this cruise and some familiar faces! I debated on this one or the transatlantic and definitly think we made the right choice now!!

We did the EB Panamal Canal in May. That was a great cruise and expect this to be even better.

We'll have a 3yo too! My son will be 3yo (he'll turn 4yo August 4, 2010), my daughter will be 6yo, and if all goes according to plan we'll have another one before then too. So if you think you're crazy, just remind yourself of me!

FWIW, we took my kids on the 7/18 Med last year and it was fine. My daughter was 3yo and my son was 11 months. And my husband was working so it was just me and my mom with them and we managed pretty well and had a great trip!

We have a DD that will be 6 too on the cruise

Morning, y'all. We have very tentatively booked rooms on this cruise. (It's so far out that everything is tentative and we have a reputation for changing our minds on vacations, but I wanted to post to subscribe to the thread.

It's the five of us -- me, SWMBO, DS (will-be-16), DS (will-be-13) and DD (will-be-8).

Scottishwee - I recognize you too. We almost did the 7/18 sailing again in 2010 just cause of the date, but this one works out better for us.

Denise's DD - Thanks! How sweet of you to offer. Of course, you haven't met my son yet, so I'm sure you'll be changing your mind! BTW, your BFF and I share a name.

Stimpy - My daughter will be thrilled to know there's another 6yo girl coming. Our friends coming having a daughter who will be 9yo at the time and Madison was kinda bummed when I told her they wouldn't be in the same group in the club. She loves the Oceaneer Club so she'd go in anyway, but she's always up for a friend.

We called last night to ask about airfare prices and found out the names of the pre-cruise hotels. In case some people don't know they are the Grosvenor House, Park Plaza, and Renaissance County Hall. At least, that's what it looks like from my husband's scrawling.

The airfare they quoted us would be $1608 out of NYC (not sure if that is JFK or EWR for you locals). Didn't seem much better that what we've found online for 2009 so we'll probably book ourselves.
