I still can't get through----sob----
I kept getting the recording about their hours and then finally got a different recording. The girl that answered had just started work, I was her first call...she started at 9 (est) She tried to tell me there is a charge for fuel and I told her that with points there isn't...she checked her email and agreed!!! Look at the money I have saved already!!!

So by my count, there are three DISers booked for the cruise - CONGRATULATIONS to all of you -- and good luck to those still on hold.

We will have to wait to hear from our TA. I think I will just wait til I get off work at 3 p.m. as I know she does all her bookings first and then her emails. That was great for those with previous ressies who were transferring -- that's how we did ours for the Med...

We're IN!!!! Call got in right at 7:01 am cst, with ringing at least 50 times. Nice CM picked up and off we went...she took all the info required, put me on hold to book with DCL. This part took about 30 mins of wait time. She periodcally came back to check on me. Very knowledgeable and nice too.

We have two cat 11 staterooms on deck 7. Never been on that deck before, so I am trying to find out if there is a laundry room on there. We always have had a verandah for DH and myself so this will be a new experience, lol. We wanted to book totally on points though, so this was the only way to book with only a $95 cash outlay. We do not plan on being in room much, with excursions and such so hoping it works out well.

Good luck to those still trying to book - hang in there. It will be long but worth the wait!! And Congrats to those who have made it in so far!

We're on We're on!!! i forgot that i could just pull up my reservation # on the website!!! cabin 7068!!! woohoo!!! i was freaking about how long i would have to wait for my TA to contact me!!! good luck everyone else!!!:cool1:

Did you already have your reservation number? I went on to look to see what we were booked, but you need the reservation number to look.

Thanks for your help!

We finally got through online, after 1.5 hours on hold on the phone and no one answering! Anyway, we're in 8082 and 8084. My mom is coming with us which is why we have 2 cabins. Well my mom and we're hoping for a 3rd baby by then so we'll need the space.

Tell me how crazy this is, we're sailing on an Eastern with friends in August 2009 and then this cruise July 2010. I am planning (or attempting to plan!) my next baby to fall in between that time frame so that we can go on both trips and not have a baby too young or be past 24 weeks.

WE ARE BOOKED!!!!!
room 8020
anybody know this room?

Carol - there is definitely a laundry room on Deck 7. It's my preferred one, especially for any ironing needs, as the ironing board area is right near the doorway so you don't have to crush through the throngs of people in the laundry room just to press a shirt.

And congratulations to all who are in.

If you're reading the other threads on the main board and see folks who have booked this one, be sure to invite them on over to this thread if they aren't already.

We were in 8016 last month on the 5 night and it was a great location so I imagine 8020 is the same. It's under the adult area so it's pretty quiet all the time, and super close to the elevators/stairs that don't get a ton of traffic.

In looking at the room layouts it looks like it has a verandah, does it?
We have always been on deck 7

we transfered a dummy date so i still had original ressie #, 10% discount and $200 OBC. TA is giving us an additional $250. yes. so anyone who transferred a ressie # can go check on line if using a TA to see if the TA has booked yet. I did get an email as well from my TA about 10 minutes ago so they were on the ball as well. :)

On the ship is indeed a good thing!!!:cool1:

Well, we're booked. We have cat 6- (6050) I ended up booking online after being disconnected once from DVC and then waiting over an hour the 2nd try. Hopefully, I can switch later. I don't see how they can say no since their system is almost unworkable! LOL If not, we'll rent the points. It was nice only paying the 1/2 price deposit.

Okay, read your update, nevermind.

I just looked at our cruise again on the website cause I just realized I made a stupid mistake and booked one kid with my mom and one with us, and it would be $200 less to have 4 and 1, but anyway. So I checked and Cat 4 is gty already!! OMG, it's only 10:26 and this cruise is nearly 2 years away! So glad I got in when I did!

I booked one kid with the wrong birth date by one day so, I'm hoping it isn't a problem to change... I'll call tomorrow. I'll need a break down of price so, I can get trip insurance..

We're in too! We are in 6118 - 2 adults and 2 kids (16 & 11) - now OMMYGODHOWAMIGOINGTOPAYFORTHIS.... Deep breath in and out!:cloud9:

Thank you for the congrats...and congrats to everybody else...I got in so fast, I was not sure what to do. The DW talked me into an inside stateroom, (usually I like the Varanda, but saved so much this way) anyhow we are in room 6105, deck 6. I hope I picked a good room.
