Hi all: It has been a while since I read and posted to any of the boards. It was good to catch up and lots to catch up on. I was busy looking for a job, as I was one of the many people that was told to look for other opportunities late last year.

In addition, I was busy planning the trip and going to WDW in Dec because it was something planned and booked with brothers, nephews, etc at the beginning of 2008. We all had a great time at WDW and then our family also spent time in Miami and the Everglades, but I digress

Well I am back, reading, catching up and now looking at the upcoming trip and I see that APinCal, Denise, DebT and DadofLostboys are on the cruise. A shout out to all of you!!!! Looks like 7/7/07 cruise – the sequel …

I will send our cruise information to be posted on the website. Have to make a note so that I remember…

As for 2010 the plan is to spend a few days in London but also looking at DLP and to experience the train, Eurostar, and Chunnel. Still trying to determine if it is worth a trip to DLP (Paris will have to wait for another visit). There is a train that leave London in the morning, 6 AM, with one stop to DLP and returning the same day, at around 9 PM, back to London (direct)

Anyone do DLP in one day? Thoughts on that?

Hi DIN....good to see you on board! There are others, who are not posting, from our 070707 cruise on this one too!. Don't know if you remember Janet and Kenny from FL? And Kimberly and Tom...they have twins...."twinparents" on the board....there might be others but I can't remember..Oh and don't forget Jeff...he is posting and has made a nice website for us...

I would like to go to DLP before the cruise. It would be great to trade a Marriott timeshare for the one there but there is only one there and I heard hard to get into. I will really start planning soon. We went to DLP when Eleni was 6...wow she is 19 now! It would be great to go again. We went for 3 days back then and stayed on property. We traded DVC points for our stay there. We took the train into Paris for day trips and then took the chunnel to London and spent time there and up in Birmingham area visiting friends. We flew into Paris and out of London. Worked out great!

We will traveling with Janet and Kenny again (3rd cruise with them) so it will be fun.
So far there are still four of us. My daughter says not matter what she is going. Her best friend said she is having trouble saving money as she is not working that much. She wants a car too...She is still in high school and cut her work hours because of school. (smart thing to do) Our daughter works only about 6 hours a week now...it's a joke...not worth the bus fare to get to work! She is going to start college in the fall..Hope she finds a job or hours pick up at her work. She works at California Pizza Kitchen.

We still have jobs but our contract is up on April 4th at AT&T. We both work there too! Don't know if we will strike or not. You know how unions are. Just a waiting game for now to see what the company wants to take away....and what the union wants....we have some money put aside just in case. Lets hope we don't have to use it...and can spend it on the cruise!

I will let you know how the planning is going.....

Hello Everybody

Just let you know that I have a mixed feeling today....

My husband and I had been discussed last weekend and we had make up our minds that we had cancel this cruise...,

Because of poor exchange rates are not very good... that made us to pay more pounds .. it is very expensive for us...

We were so much looking forward to this cruise...

We told our kids on Sunday night and they understand it.

However, we have change it to 'Dover to Barcelona' so the kids are happy...

I think kids are not bothering about ports as they seem to be happy on the Cruise....

We still hold the pounds until exchange rates get better - who know??

(Beth - I am so sorry about this and Olivia will write tomorrow)....

We will miss you all but I will be pop in and have a chat with you all..

I'm desperately trying to catch up.

Justhat put me on the list of people going (hooray!!) and was kind enough not to mention that I not only slacked on reserving the original stateroom, but that she ended up "giving" me one of her Cat. 4's.

So Sharper Fin distracted me with his exceedingly funny account of the exercise bike exploits and I am tempted to quote him as part of my signature line...

"how come I sometimes think that the rest of my life started yesterday, and I missed it?"

Congratulations! What type of job did you find? I hope you are very happy and successful with it.

Sorry - I've not had time to check the boards.

It is actually very similar to the one I had at Circuit City at a company here in Richmond. Basically, I'm a buyer for an online retailer. It's a fantastic company and the people are wonderful. I received the offer exactly two months from when we closed and before my severance ended. So since I didn't have to dip into my savings, I still have the money to go to the Baltic.

Oh Deborah that's such a shame, we were looking forwards to meeting up with you again.

Yes we're still around, and yes, we're still on the cruise - so far! There is serious uncertainty about my job. There are cuts to be announced next month - about 10% of us will go. If that's me then the cruise will have to be sacrificed, but if I'm still in work then we will sail.

I haven't been able to check in here half as often as I'd like, but Jill and I are still around.

I was just busting your chops. We'll absolutely pass on the hellos. We ended up buying 125 points at the VGC last weekend. It is going to be real tough getting in there. There are only 49 of them I think. We did it so we could have the 11 month booking window for Christmas time. We got a 4 night Wonder cruise for our incentive so we will try to book it for Dec 6th or 13th and tack on the MVMCP and the World for a few days. That was probably the only way to get us on a 4night. We were spoiled with 15 nights for our first Disney cruise.

On another note...I am not surprised to see a Wonder PC repo thread already. I would do the canal again. It was fun.

I agree. I would rather do a new itinerary than repeat one I already did. If the price and timing were right...not likely though due to the fact it would be too soon after the Europe trip. What we really want to do is a TA crossing. We were hoping to piggy back a TA with the Med, but the Baltic was soooo inviting!!!! I am sure our next big Disney cruise we will be on a TA the next time Disney moves a ship over to Europe.

One good thing about the Wonder in LA is that it is an hour away. We could hop on a cat 11 or 12 last minute or something and stay on the ship while it is at port in Mexico (which does not interest us other than Cabo). I wonder if Disney will offer socal rates?

have a great weekend at Las Vegas? as I am thinking to go there in 2011 for my special birthday but my ladies friend are not sure about it as seem long flight...

Ian don't want to go on WB 2011 again as he said he like to go something different place...so I am pleased that Wonder will be staying in LA as I love to go back there again and hopeful one day...

Aye I know, it is a shame, as I was so looking forward to then cancel it I am waiting to see if any luck with lotto... if I win windfall then we will be back on...

my friend switch it over to NCL cruise and booked the penthouse much cheaper than DCL

Trouble that I love DCL....
