Monstro - I just briefly checked out your website with the new info. Nicely done! Thanks so much for including all of us! One correction, though... this cruise will be our 10th with DCL, not 5th. :thumbsup2

Hi all, it been awhile since I last posted anything, and it appears that some people have had to drop the cruise, that is too bad...anyhow our room did change to a GTY, and yes you can use our name and pic on the web site,(whoever is running the site) and thank you....also did anybody ever pic a shirt this year...with the logo, or are we still to far out for that...Hope all had a great Christmas, and even better New Years.

John

Do we want to add pre- and post-cruise plans to the wiki? I'm just thinking it would be cool to know who is going to be in London especially pre-cruise should we want to meet ahead of time.

We'll be at the Renaissance Chancery Court (through DCL) arriving July 3rd for three nights pre-cruise. We'll be staying at the same hotel for two nights post-cruise.

Probably. I've been thinking about how to add things like that in. I'm totally open to page organization suggestions on the wiki.

Thanks
Jeff

I have (thanks to Deb T.) a word document with pictures from the previous site. I don't want to post pictures without permission. If you had pictures on the previous site and would like me to use that picture on our new site, let me know. It will be easy to add it in.

Thanks.
Jeff

You can go ahead and use our pic from the original site, if you have it. Let me know if not. We are Carol, John, Kristen and Jen.

Been crazy busy here. Heading to airport shortly with DD's BF who is flying back to NH. We had snow overnight, and he will be heading into the storm which should be arriving there this evening when he is, lol. Hopefully there will be no delays.

Will catch up online here a bit later tonite. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend with starting back to work and starting a new class this week has been crazy. I'm already ready for another vacation and I just came back from one. The only bad thing is we have no spring break this year. Just two days off for Easter so no break until the end of the year. June is a long way off.

How is everyone doing today?:goodvibes

so in other news, I was talking to my friend who I met this summer on my cruise on the Disney Magic and he told me he was let go because of a guest complaining. I'm not going to name who it was, but I feel really bad my friends was let go:sad2:

We got the Rick Steves DVD from the library today and watched a few of the episodes: Oslo, Stockholm/Helsinki, and Berlin. Unfortunately being a library DVD, the Copenhagen track didn't work - so we'll have to get it from Netflix to see that one. But it was good to see some of the area where we'll be going and start thinking about what we might be interested in doing as far as possible excursions. So thanks for the recommendation for the DVD.

So glad you enjoyed the DVD! It seems far away, but you know with so much to research and plan for this trip, I think the time will go by fast. I keep meaning to check out some other cruise lines' excursions on their Baltic cruises, too.

We were sent a DVD from Gydell (i met her on the WB PC) by Joe Lawrence (sp?) called Baltic treasures 2008. It is pretty informative. It covers all of our ports. I plan on watching it in detail and figuring what we can do on our own to save $$$$ so we can really do St.Petersburg right...maybe private tour.

Good Morning everbody!!!! have a great week!!!!:goodvibes

Greetings All,

I'm happy to see everyone made it through the holidays and am sorry to see some "new" friends won't be joining us next year :sad1:

We've had a busy time. We spent the week after Thanksgiving in Orlando. Had a good time at Animal Kingdom, Disney Studios, and spent a special evening at Micky's Very Special Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom (I was "That Guy"). It was Kyle's birthday week, so he got "Birthday" pins at each park. We also did Universal and Islands of Adventure too!

We just returned from a whirlwind weekend to Altantic City/New York City. Our artistic son Kyle, took part in the The Pulse dance workshops in A.C. on Sat. and Sun., since we were so close we took the opportunity to go to NYC on Friday to catch Little Mermaid on Broadway (surprise X-mas gift for Kyle). All I can say is What A Show!!!

We've seen Wicked, Hairspray,Tarzan, Mary Poppins (in London pre Med 07), Lil' Shop of Horrors (London too), Lion King, Cats, and Spamalot to name a few. This by far is my favorite (just nuging out Wicked). Kyle was a little disappointed that Ariel was played by under study Chelsea Stock and not by Sierra Boggess, but Chelsea did a fantastic job - I don't know how it could have been done any better!

The set was unbelievable as is disney's way. Check out http://disney.go.com/theatre/thelittlemermaid/#/video/lm-sneakpeek/

John - I'm working on one. You can see the one I put together for our 07 Med cruise in my signature. Any design ideas are welcome and may be sent via PM.

I've been looking at transfers from the airport to dover. Is anyone doing it on their own? Its so economical to go by national express (for the entire family its about 58.5 pounds one way!), but I'd be so worried to commit to a bus time in case the flight was late. Does anyone here know if you can change your bus times, or just pay when you get there?

Also I found private transfers by van for a family of 5 for about 170 pounds. They pick you up at the airport, wait for you and not charge you if your flight is delayed. This seems cheaper than the Disney transfers.

Perhaps we'll take private van to Dover, and the bus on the way back when we're less likely to be jet-lagged!

It would certainly be more fun to go with other families if anyone was going to be doing it. Anyone interested?

I've looked a little into hotels in Dover. The Ramada does a family suite for 143 pounds a night. Since we are a family of 5 its hard to find places that take all of us.

Can we post all our info on our new website? Still a bit fuzzy on that one.

We'd like to stay in London for a week after the cruise. With the economy and a family of 5, I need to economize where I can.

This year we are taking an ABD to Ireland and I'm so worried about the costs! Being a Canadian its hard to plan exactly what things are going to end up costing!

Greetings from Animal Kingdom Lodge. I am watching a baby giraffe play in the Savannah as I type, and people ask why I visit WDW so often.

I would be interested in any info people find on hotels in Dover. We are planning to visit some friend north of London prior to the trip and are trying to decide between spending the night before the cruise in London and using Disney transport or driving to Dover and spending the night before the cruise there.

- Scott
