Anyone bringing jackets? I was thinking for the kids since they seem more sentitive to the cold than me. I'm bringing some dinner clothes but nothing formal. I'm just bringing skirts with tops. I feel like you need to pack more because of the cold. And, I can't for the life of me figure which shoes I'll need. ;-)

We are here in Disneyland Paris....:thumbsup2

We are staying off property at Marriott's. What a beautiful property! We have a 2 story villa with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, washer dryer...just beautiful..will post a pic. Staying on points.
Going for a walk to stay up longer then much needed sleep..

Flights were fine except in Paris we got detained. Someone left a bag somewhere so the entire airport was shut down. Took about 30-40 minutes only but seemed forever because we were so tired. We were almost out too. But our driver was waiting for us. Driver took us straight to Marriott. Got the recommend from the DLP board! Was perfect. They let the whole area out at once and never even went thru customs....good security!

Heat wave in Europe now....can't suggest what to pack. We brought some of everything...
All suitcases arrived with us!!! Much better then MED cruise.....

talk to you all soon,
denise
Yay... glad you made it. Enjoy Paris!

Denise-glad you guys made it Paris safely. We won't be at DLP, but we will be at Paris for the day on the 4th. We'll see you soon.

We're bringing a hooded fleece jacket by Jerzee. It's just one of those I picked up at Joanne's on clearance. We're putting iron ons on them to spruce them up.

I'd love another copy of FE list too please? I think there were a few changes since the last one I got....someone moved staterooms and we had new people join :goodvibes

I'm bringing hoodies for me & the kids. Dh is on his own as to what he packs;)

My DS is really looking forward to the Sorcerer's Apprentice on board!

Can someone PM me with the most recent list for FE gifts? We're late joining and I understand not everyone will have extra - but we would like to have something for everyone anyway. Trying to get all the loose ends tied up today! Thanks a bunch!

Made my FE today - didn't think to actually look up the dimensions - got halfway done and DH says "don't you think it's a little wide"? Augggghh:mad: I had to rip half of it apart and start over! Not my best moment...there were definitely no fairies and pixie dust coming from me! Got it done nonetheless, and quite happy with the final result. :thumbsup2

You didn't answer my PM!!! I need your room number please.

joanne :)

We are packing four pants and four shorts / capris (well, not for the guys) and a couple of longsleeve shirts but most tshirts and polo style shirts. Bringing sweatshirt weight jackets. Plus minor dinnerwear.

this is pretty much what we've doing

Boys all have windbreaker type jackets from sports which they are bringing along with sweatshirts. I'm bringing a windbreaker too.
Shoes - I'm wearing my walking sneakers on the plane, then packing 2 pairs of sandals that are multi-funtional, good for walking & wearing to dinner (yes on formal night people might scoff, but I'm not lugging shoes to Europe)

My DS is really looking forward to the Sorcerer's Apprentice on board!

We were just talking about this - we all can't wait for SA!!!

We're sitting here watching the DCL show on the Travel Channel (taped it the other day) Tim just said - are we stopping at Castaway Cay, he was joking! Then said I can't believe there's no private island stop, you think they could have found something this is Disney afterall :lmao:
It cracked me up

Just checked Delta and we can each bring one bag up to 50 lbs free - so I weighed our luggage and they are 10+ lbs empty. I have my clothes and both boys ready to go. Gary is getting his tomorrow, then we'll put in the toiletries and other items that can go in the checked bags (like the FE stuff). I'm getting more and more excited. We saw some people at church today that we won't see again til we get back as they are leaving this week early and won't be there Wednesday night. It made it seem so real to say "see ya when we get back" to their "have a great time on your trip."

The frig is nearly bare. We've already planned to "splurge" on 59-cent cheeseburgers from McDonald's on Wednesday for dinner :)

Well, my turn on the computer is up... ttyl.

Just ordered our loaner phone from Verizon. I have to pay $9.99 for the shipping. He had never heard of no charge by going to the store. My store wouldn't help me. The told me I had to go through the 800 number. We have to have it returned to them 30 days from today. It was really easy. They prorate the $4.99 based on how long we have the phone activated. It only turned out to be around $3 so I went for it so we could discounted rates. For all the countries except Russia I save .30 a minute.

Started the packing thing. I'm using the packing cubes for the first time. The large holds more than I thought. All my tops for the day and night time fit along with my PJ's. Ray goes out of town tomorrow to St. Augustine. He asked me to go, but we wouldn't return until Wednesday night. I don't think so-still alot of last minute things to tie up, plus I have to be here to sign for the packages we are expecting. We leave Friday morning. :woohoo:

Don't forget the biggest hint of all: to pack a little bit of everyone's clothes in each suitcase in case some of the luggage goes missing. :thumbsup2

Oh absolutely. In fact that's what my blog entry is about today.

Since the boys kicked me off the pc, I checked the closet for jackets and found we had a Disney windbreaker jacket that fits me so now I have a less heavy/bulky jacket to bring so yay!

:goodvibesI resent the list today! Please check to see if you have received it. I will pass out hard copies at both meets (Dover & deck 7)

If your cabin number changes, please let me know.

Hi Judy~

We have (2) verizon world phones so we spent 1/2 hour on the phone with them setting the phones up for use overseas. I have already warned DD how much texts cost! She is a texting machine so...hopefully, she will keep it to a few.

We also are trying out the packing cubes. I bought several from REI outlet in lovely closeout colors. They seem pretty useful.

The excitement of this trip is running high now! :yay:

Trying my packing in stages this time. For example, packed up jewelry the other day, packed up medications tonite. Working on toiletries right now. All my clothing is hanging in one nearly empty closet, and washes are done. Might need to throw in one more in a couple days, though since we are working this week.

I have my Purex sheets all ready, and everything I need for my purse on the dining room table. We leave Friday by noon for O'Hare, so we are definitely counting down now..

But most importantly got my legs waxed and my hair done yesterday, lol. Priorities you know. hehehe.

Chaos has set in at our home. I keep telling myself that where just in that phase were things look like a disaster as you bring order to them. Well, at least that's what I keep telling myself.

I think we're going to stick with Santa's Summer house as well.

You have a nearly empty closet??!! I don't think I could ever say that.

:scared1: Ray's jacket shrunk and now it's a bit tight. He tried it on after we did the iron ons. Anyone know where I can a lightweight fleece hoodie zipper jacket living in Florida. I had bought these in December on clearance here. He tried it on then. I washed it in cold. I guess I should have lined dry it. I put the temp on low on the dryer. Mine is fine. I'm looking online and would have to pay more in shipping than what the jacket cost.

did that too. split between 2 suitcases and even a change of clothes in the carry-on (which weighs a whopping 32 pounds...holy crap!)

But most importantly got my legs waxed and my hair done yesterday, lol. Priorities you know. hehehe.
