We have never been to the Fort in the summer. We will probably make our next trip for July 4th next year or in 2 years. I have seen the pics of the GC parade and that looks like big fun. I am wondering do folks decorate their sites in patiotic lights, etc and if so how early do they start showing the red white and blue. We love looping in Dec to enjoy the Christmas deorations so we are hoping for something like this for the 4th. After Christmas this year I bought some red, some white, and some blue lights and I will start collecting other festive USA decorations.

I was wondering about this too. I haven't been yet, but I just ordered 2 sets of MICKEY head patriotic lights (off of E-bay), for our trip next June, and I'm planning on making some wood cutouts for the yard. I hope everyone decorates, we so look forward to riding around the loops and checking out everyones sites.

A lot of people wait until the day of the parade (like me cuz I am lazy:lmao:) to decorate their carts because they just love being in the parade. However, I must add that there are people who just go all out and decorate their carts to the hilt and usually leave them decorated for days afterward. As far as decorating your cart before the 4th, there are plenty who do it. You will always see people who rent the carts decorate them to be able to find them easily out of the crowd. I started collecting my 4th decorations during while the Memorial Day Weekend decorations are out. Around here, they are about the same thing, so I started stocking up then. I hit the dollar stores, party stores, craft stores, Wal Mart, you name it. Since the Florida weather can be on again, off again during the summer, I tried to stay away from paper things. I hope this helps!

Thanks Jen. Sounds like a lot of folks do decorate their carts which is great. Now the question is, do very many people decorate their camp sites, is it a very big deal like it is before Christmas with so many sites decorated?
