The cast is Me & H and DS who will be 19 months, my mom and dad, and sister and her fiance. We are going to Anaheim July 1-8. My sister who lives in LA is meeting us July 2-4th and we are definitely hitting the parks those days, even though they will be busy prime time days (weekend of the 4th), we have no other choice really since my sister needs to get back to work on Tuesday.

So now since we are spending 3 consecutive days in the parks, I plan on taking Tuesday off for down time - heading to the pool for R&R, maybe a day trip to go sight seeing (we have been to the LA area many times - this is our first DLR visit so not much we NEED to see).

So that leaves Weds, Thurs, and leaving on the red eye Friday.

I was hoping they would have the 5 for 3 deal, but hope is dwindling at this point (maybe they will surprise me this week). So my mom originally said 4 days since the cost is about $200 but adding 1 day is only $10 more. I could try to talk her into it but would that be overkill? My mom and dad are not thrill seekers, so they do not do anything more then Peter Pan type rides. My mom is actually afraid of Dumbo. So the plan is them taking the little guy and strolling around while H and I do bigger rides. At night, hopefully DS can sleep in his stroller for us to catch some night time shows. But all in all it is a play it by ear vacation. My sister is getting married next year so chances are we can hit the parks again so am not in the must do everything mindset. More planning around my son not getting over tired.

Wow that was long winded!

So 4 or 5 days? And should we need the extra day are you allowed to add time on your tickets like they do at WDW?

I would choose 5 days since the price difference is so insignificant. It's great to have so many days and not feel pressured to be there open-close every day of your trip. You could choose to not take any full days off but do a couple of partial days where you open the park, take a long mid-day swim & rest, and then back at night.

If some of your party didn't want to use all of the days they could choose to do something else touristy or relax at the hotel. For $10 each the flexibility is great.

Have fun!!! :dance3:

I agree!! For $10 it's nice to have the flexibility have another day to play with. Maybe you don't get everything done you wanted. That last day you can just hop over for a ride or 2 or show. There is so much your Mom can still do, and 5 days is not overkill.
