Awesome, thank you! :)

We had a balcony room booked B2B with the previous Baltic cruise, but we were about to cancel it due to cost and then they had a great rate on the category 12s, to we went guarantee and saved a bucketload of money which allowed us to stay on the cruise! So excited! It will be a 5 week vacation as we are spending 2 weeks in Germany, Switzerland, Paris and London pre July 18th cruise! I can't wait!!!!!!!

We finally committed on airfare today. I was hoping airfares from the US would get cheaper, but with the volcano and summer travel, I'm not so sure prices are going to come down.

We are flying into London on July 26, staying at Park Plaza County Hall. After the cruise, we are staying in Barcelona for one night. We are thinking of staying at the Marriott (Renaissance, I think) at the Airport because they have a shuttle from the Port and also a shuttle into the heart of Barcelona. Any thoughts?

The next morning, we are flying to Paris for two nights, and then return to the US on the 10th. Any recommendations on hotels in Paris? We want to stay someone nice, centrally located, but not crazy expensive.

We can't wait for this trip! Lucky to get the Category 12 to allow us to add the pre and post-cruise plans.

Good afternoon

CaliforniaCastaway - I always want to go to Paris but I had been twice for Disney Park not in Paris. Do you know that Paris is very expensive area...but it is nice to visit there...

I am still waiting for my husband to take me there Paris which he promise me :love:

Glad you book airfare, it is one of those points of no return and I am sure the trip will seem more real now.:cutie:

I was going to stay at the Renaissance but decided my girls would get to the hotel and just want to stay there at the pool, so we are staying more central and hopefully will make it to Park Guell, I know they will be exhausted after the cruise.

CaliforniaCastaway,

We stayed at the Marriott at the Barcelona Airport during the Med 2007 trip for our last night. Hotel is nice, clean, friendly staff, good food - but expensive. We did have to wait a very long time to get our room the day we arrived after getting off the ship. I am talking hours and hours. Might check to see if the Marriott would store your luggage and then take off to the city. We used their shuttle to go to the airport and back to look for lost luggage.

Went to Cocoa Beach for the weekend to visit Mom and decided to eat at Fish Lips at the Port on Sunday. The Wonder sailed by at 5:00 p.m. with everyone waving from all her decks.

Can't wait for our turn in July on the Magic:)

How lovely to sit and have fish and chips while the Wonder sails by - I am giving serious consideration to going to Dover to see the Magic on 12th June when she is there for the first Baltic cruise!

It will be different not sailing from PC.

We went to Jetty park in March and watched the Magic and the Carnival Dream head out to sea, we had so much fun that day.:cloud9:

Cocoa Beach is a great place to visit, not sure Dover will have that same relaxing lets go on vacation feel, but I am sure we will be too excited to notice.

LOL - I am a photography enthusiast so my camera is almost always with me, ESPECIALLY on special trips where I might just glimpse the Magic in the port of Dover!

If I can swing it I will definitely go :)

You should go if it is not too far.

Are you surprising your kids with this trip, or is that someone else? If you are surprising them it might take away the actual surprise.

i am surprising the kids but if I went to Dover to see the ship it would be a little trip on my own. DH loves the cruise but would think it a little crazy to go to just look at a ship and the girls would not enjoy a two hour car trip where the main event at the end was just looking at Mickeys Boat! I think it is a Saturday so DH may take them to the local farm for a bit and instead of doing jobs I could go take a road trip - it doesn't hurt that there is a large shopping mall on the way!!

Well if I live nearby I would drive down and watch it... but it seem too far away from Scotland  I think Andrew UK will do that too as he can drive as one hour away from his area...

Please take the photos:thumbsup2

Scottishwee35 what are your plans for giving out the lanyards, maybe we could combine that we a meet on the first day sometime?

I have no idea what time the muster drill will be though, so that would help with a time.
