July 3 event sold out crazy fast

We're going to be at WDW for July 4. I saw the july 3 member event post this morning and was thrilled to sign up. It'll be our first member event.

After work, I mentioned it to a friend whose also a DVC owner. She called to try to book it, and its already sold out. Is that normal? Do specialty events usually sell out in a few hours?

Curious how on-the-ball I need to be for future planning. Thanks!

They can sell out that quickly, yes. The July 3 event is not a large capacity offering, and it's over a holiday.

$39 for adults and $24 for kids, plus tax/tip, I think.

$52.81 per adult with tax and tip. I hope it’s not too crowded...

All DVC member events sell out fast. That's why Disney loves the DVC.

Sigh RL got in way and I missed it. Never did get any email notice Called today as my norm had been and told it sold out by 1 pm EST yesterday

GD is so disappointed. She’s been talking about doing it again since last year. The one thing she really wanted to do on this trip
