July 28, 2007 - "Rome-ancing the Mouse Cruisers" -11 days! - Part 4

Just wanted to wish everyone a Belated Happy New Year! It was difficult at the holidays so I must admit I was glad when they were over.

I know I have a lot of catching up to do here.

JoAnn- I'm glad your daughter is settled.

Harole Ann- I hope Garry is feeling better.

Sandra- I'm glad your procedure is over. I'm having one Feb. 27. Have fun on your cruise.

Helen- Enjoy your trip to Tunisia.

I apologize if I missed anyone's news.

We're going to Houston President's weekend to visit my son and daughter-in-law. I'm really looking forward to it.

My oldest daughter (15) and I have seen it 10 times, and all but 2 have been onstage. We go back next Sunday (the 27th) again, with her boyfriend, and we are onstage. I haven't let the 13 and 10 year olds see it, but they have all had "the talk" for quite some time!:lmao:

OK, you are making me feel like a pervert now . . .:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
hahahaha..........if it makes you happy, go for it!!! My girls really did like it, esp. the 20YO........we also saw JB and LK for the second time........we really liked JB, have you seen that one?

Ditto! Welcome back! I guess we can look forward to visiting our kids around the states when they finally get settled! Let us know how it goes!!

Yes, those are both a lot of fun . . . you saw quite a few shows in a row!!!!

We saw "Little Mermaid" on Friday night and I was really disappointed . . . such good music and a great story and I thought Disney really wasted the opportunity. It just didn't work somehow, and the sets and costumes were downright bizarre. Even my 10 year old was less than thrilled.:sad2:

That's what I wanted to do for my Bday.......I probably saved $$ by not shopping!:thumbsup2 Now I think I've had enough NYC for awhile!

Wow, we could have crossed paths! I did like LM but I was bothered by the lead........I felt everyone was well cast, but the lead needed more personality........sets were good........really liked MP but I don't think either:confused3 of them have the staying power of LK............

Also, tried "Patsy's Italian Restaurant".......it was pretty good, great service!

Hi All!

Sandra, I agree with Julie and JoAnn. AK is great in Feb. and there is plenty to do without going on any rides. It is expensive for one day but it is so worth it. It is unlike any other park.

Best wishes to your family, Wendy. We think of you often.

I also hear Mermaid was not up to Disney's usual. I'm dying to see Mary Poppins (it was my favorite Disney movie as a kid), but I draw the line at paying over $125 per ticket!!!! I'll wait and watch for a good Sat. night deal.

Been busy planning DD's baby shower this April. She'll be 5 months along next week. Tom had better hold my charge cards when we go to WDW in Feb. Her nursery is Winnie the Pooh. They should find out if it is a boy or girl in 2 weeks. Disney is going to be rubbing their hands together by the time we fly home. Cha ching!!!!:scared:

You and Tom are YOUNG future GPs, BTW....that's so sweet!:cloud9:

Thanks. I felt like a dinosaur yesterday in Babies R Us. They had about 100 different kinds of baby bottles, and they don't make plug in baby food dish warmers anymore (I guess the microwave revolutionized heating bottles and food for the better!) After about $600 :scared1: on the Winnie the Pooh crib set, lamp, wall art, etc. and little incidentals like grandma/grandpa loves you bibs, I've decided I'm not buying another thing until I get into the World of Disney store!!!
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

You mean you didn't buy the motorized swing that connects to your IPod:confused3 What kind of Grandmother are you going to be?;)

We are going to be grandparents in March, the shower is Feb 9. I'm in the process of making a baby quilt. It will be done by then.

We went to Babies R Us on Saturday and Gerry was completely overwhelmed. He loved the motorized swing. I talked him out of it thankfully. The gift registry is 14 pages long but some of it was exclusive to online orders. We didn't know that and spent quite a bit of time looking around. We have already bought her a Red Sox outfit so she'll be all set for opening day. That is most important to Gerry. I'm sure he'll find something else for her on the ship.

My mom always says that it's a miracle the human race has made it this far without all the things available now. We didn't have all this "stuff" when her kids were little and we survived.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Have fun shopping at the World Of Disney Store!!

Another thing I learned from my Mom is not to go too crazy over the first Grandchild because there will be more, especially since we have 4 kids. Whatever you do for the first you have to do for the next, no matter how many come along later. She learned this the hard way. So we are trying to be careful. But it sure is difficult when there is so much out there and everything is so adorable.

Jeff and Lisa, oldest son and wife, just bought a house and once they move in we're pretty sure they are going to start a family so it might not be too long before the 2nd grandchild is here.

Congratulations to all the grandparents- to -be!
I went to Babies R us when my nephew was born in September and couldn't believe the things they now have. My sister-in- law even has a baby wipe warmer.

Marianne- I'd have a hard time controlling myself in the World of disney store. I'd want to buy everything! Have fun shopping!

Sandra- love your mom's quote.

Good luck planning the baby showers.

Sandra,

Your mom is a wise woman. And you're probably right, as they say, with a house comes a baby.:flower3:

Sound advice, but really hard to imagine at this point!:goodvibes
