PALOS BRUNCH

I am assuming that everyone who is booked on my Sunday champagne group brunch is still going and a reminder the start time is 10.30am prompt. Suggest you have a light breakie before.

If anyone was to drop out please let me know as I will reconfirm on Saturday 28th in the afternoon on the cruise.

The nominal cost is $10 per person, you get your own bill and can add your own tip. Its really going to be great to be in the private room and I hope all those coming are going to have a great time.

I made a big mistake yesterday while doing yard work! I emptied a bag of Hershey's cocoa chips for landscaping into a small area near my patio. I never thought that Princess Jasmine would be attracted to it! I was so wrong! The smell could make you just melt and I am sure she feels the same, but every time she goes out now, she stops to take a nibble of cocoa! I know chocolate is not good for dogs, but I can tell you that it will not make this one sick! After the big rain last night, it even made it smell better!

Hi Harole Ann - Please be careful - its not just that chocolate is not good - it is actually toxic - and a build up of toxins can lead to death.

If the sail away party starts at 10:00 we should be okay. Remember they have staggered dining times so we may have 8:00-8:15 or 8:30.

We have also started in Lumiere's on both cruises. Presumably because our kids are older. But there seems to be more people without kids on the Med cruises so I was wondering if you think the same rules will apply.

WE love Lumiere's, it's by far our favorite except of course Palo. Either way it's going to be a lot of fun and we're looking forward to meeting you soon.

Sandra - thank you for coordinating this. It sounded like so much fun, but I wasn't sure how it was going to work out. I showed the kids the deck plans, and said we could each take a deck to pass out the little gifts. They're getting excited, too.

So, when do we pass out the gifts? In the morning, in the evening? Or does it matter?

They started with the staggered dining times with our last cruise which was March, 2006 and I really did not care for it. I assume they are still doing it. I liked when you came to the door and your server was there to greet you and take you to your table and you had the chance to talk and it was always so nice. With this arrangement, if you have 8:15 or 8:30 chances are your server is in the middle of serving or taking orders and he/she is doing a balancing act and especially on the first night when they are trying to get to know everyone. I just felt like why fix something that is working well. Our server was so overwhelmed with two huge tables that it was like he was breezing by! If we had not already known him, I would not have been happy with the situation at all.

I'm so clueless, that it won't matter to me, but I heard that they won't stagger the meals. It amazes me that so many people remember their servers.

And the one that is responsible for so many of us starting a blog! Thanks Tara!

Hi guys,

Sorry I was not on the boards yesterday but I had a big blow out -

Dave is going away with friends hiking in the lake district and wont get back till late Sunday -I have told him to becareful, but that there was no way I would miss this holiday!

Anyhow the camera charger was the straw that broke the camels back.

AFter the blow out it was amazing however what was done - I ordered on line a new charger, then we actually found it !!! So I now have a spare winging it over.

I've finished the online checkin ( I am right in thinking if it lets you print the cruise contact your finished?)

I went shopping with my mam and bought Daves clothes ( I was not waiting until he went on Monday). I got him 4 pairs of new chino type long trousers, 3 pairs of 3/4 for trips, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of jeans, 4 new shirts. It nearly killed me but it was worth it.

I then actually packed Daves clothes - split half into each case.

I also Emptied our camera ( I have the photos from when we went to spain in Feb, might share a couple later)

Then I printed off address sheets with flight times on (outbound one and a return one) when I pack the cases I place these ontop of all the clothes.

So all in all a pretty good day Its amazing what a little let off of steam can achieve.

Just a reminder on the Cruise guide, for printing. Its best to print double sided and keep the pages in the order as they print off. Then fold in half and staple along the fold. The order of the pages should make more sense once made into a booklet. I guess I could put page numbers to help.

My printer at home doesn't do a good job so I need to go find some 24lb weight paper so the ink doesn't bleed through. The laser printer at work does a much better job.

Search every store I could find today...lots of hanging organizers - but none at nine inches or less in width. Most were twelve inches and some where 24 or larger.

Anybody have some extra paper bag ones around? Or have some better ideas of where I can buy one? online rush?

Microsoft does have a "save to PDF" add-on for Publisher 2007, but not 2003. So unless you have the full version of acrobat, you probably can't publish to PDF. I should be able to get the final converted tommorow afternoon with no problem.

There's a special kind of paper called "Presentation Paper" for ink-jet printers. It's a bit heavier than most paper and is coated on both sides so it will work well for double sided printing. Here's an example.
