Harole Ann,

We have also started in Lumiere's on both cruises. Presumably because our kids are older. But there seems to be more people without kids on the Med cruises so I was wondering if you think the same rules will apply.

WE love Lumiere's, it's by far our favorite except of course Palo. Either way it's going to be a lot of fun and we're looking forward to meeting you soon.
Sandra

I agree completely!!

As I was just eating my salad I was thinking how I have become accustom to having my special cranberry, pecan and blue cheese crumbles salad every evening---wonder if I can get this combo on this ship?:confused3

Sandra,

Do you think the fish extender list is complete? I would think that anyone who is interested would have contacted you by now.

I took your list and put it in a table and then sorted it by stateroom numbers. Then I used MaryJo's ship print out and marked each stateroom so I would have a map of where I had to go. I did that last night when I could not sleep!:lmao: :lmao:

in the guide book, the fish extender cabins are highlighted with red on mary jo's maps.

Great Idea Harole Ann,

I do think the list is complete. We decided that Friday is the cut off so tomorrow morning I'll do the final schedule and list. I'll post it but I thought I would do a private message to each Dis member who is participating.

THis is going to be a lot of fun.

If the sail away party starts at 10:00 we should be okay. Remember they have staggered dining times so we may have 8:00-8:15 or 8:30.

Harole Ann,

Are they staggering dining times? I hadn't heard about this. Not that it really is a big deal either way.

I am sure that is true; however, we have always started out in Lumieres. I think that most people without children start there. That has been the way we have found it to work. There are families with children there on night one, but most adult only couples seem to start with that restaurant. Now watch us start out some place different this time!

We started in Lumiere's also (no kids) so I'm guessing it will be the same this time. We'll see.

Maryann

Oh,

Congrats on ANOTHER pirate: Harole Ann!!!!!! Soon you'll be the pirate: Queen (or is that someone else's name)?

I won't be around today when the Brits get home so: note to Andrew. Thanks from me and from Chris (Grandmax3) for giving us the information for how to reserve the private Palo brunch -- we were able to get it for the repo cruise next month, just heard yesterday. Also, Micmse2003 from the 2008 repo thread wants me to say hello to you in person on the cruise . . . she says you were very helpful to her when she was just starting out on the boards.

Ditto from my end Andrew. Cheryl wanted me to tell you the same thing! :)

Too Late?

Major Congrats! party: :cool1:

Sandra,

Think very carefully about entering the great doors of the Starbucks! Once you enter you can never go back. Forever, all other coffee shops will pale by comparison. Home-made beverages will be ghost-like imitations of the real thing. You will be drawn... no ... driven - to go back again, and again and again!! The cost, financial and emotional is stagerring. Be careful, oh innocent one!!

Now, I must go to work darn it!!

OK - I'm taking dibs that Roan is a sibling - anyone else????? :lmao:

They started with the staggered dining times with our last cruise which was March, 2006 and I really did not care for it. I assume they are still doing it. I liked when you came to the door and your server was there to greet you and take you to your table and you had the chance to talk and it was always so nice. With this arrangement, if you have 8:15 or 8:30 chances are your server is in the middle of serving or taking orders and he/she is doing a balancing act and especially on the first night when they are trying to get to know everyone. I just felt like why fix something that is working well. Our server was so overwhelmed with two huge tables that it was like he was breezing by! If we had not already known him, I would not have been happy with the situation at all.

Hope all is well with everyone....

Finally, DC is getting a real big rain storm....we are so very dry....

Sorry Lisa - couldn't resist!

:rolleyes1

I Dry I am.........How Dry I am - nobody knowwwwwsss....

I Dry I am!

:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

The best thing about this is that it could be applied to both spirts and Starbucks! :lmao:

I think I recall reading one of the blogs that they weren't staggering dining on the Med cruises - but I could be wrong...

Not "chocolate chips" cocoa bean shells.

Harole Ann,
Thank you for clearing that up. I was confused. IT's probably a good thing I don't do gardening. It just seemed like a waste of chocolate.

Sandra

PS Can't wait to meet you and Garry and everyone else on the Dis. This is going to be a wonderful cruise.

Sandra
Now I understand!
pirate: too soon!
Congrats - that's quite a few pirates for you recently!!

Hey Dan - not sure about this trip but I was told that the August Repo only has dining at 6 and 8:30. So our group ended up getting 8:30 pm.

I wonder if its still the same way. But this is a full cruise! Wonder if full cruise ='s bad service? :headache:

Thanks, Leslie--they are always the ::MinnieMo pirate: ! I think I had better get off of here and give some dog a breathalizer test! She has been outside too long and no one is watching!! Bet she is in the chocolate beans!!!:scared1:

I haven't been following the recent blogs, but I didn't notice complaints about the dining service in the blogs from the 2nd & 3rd cruises, so hopefully they've resolved it.

I do like the timing on our cruise. Late enough so the crew is very experienced. But not the very final cruise, so hopefully burn-out has not set in yet.

I was just so amazed that there seemed to be so many new servers. That seems so unusual especially for a cruise like this. Everyone we talked to last year was so excited about this cruise and could not wait to be a part of it. Of course when it comes time for them to take their time off, it just might hit now. I know our cruise is the last one for Captain Tom on the Magic for awhile.

Enough for me for tonight. :cloud9:
