I just noticed we are at page 499. Does being the first post on the page ending in 00 give you some sort of pirate: ?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Where's Andrew when you need him?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought the tedering was only at two ports on these cruise, Piza and Villafrance? I didnt know I needed tendering as well!!

She will never read this, so hears a secret that came out on the 2008 Repo thread.

Julie cannot make TEA!! and needs directions!!

If you saw the posts yesterday, you might now understand the tease! with references to tea bags etc.

Hey - I guess this would be a bad time to admit that I too don't know how to make tea! :rolleyes1

But here's a little tidbit about me:

When I was 18 I went into the Army. I came from a very old school hispanic family. Yet I was very 'modern' for my family. Friends and Family were taking bets on whether I would make it through basic and school. (I don't do well with orders. :rolleyes1 ) Anyway, Once I finally got to my home base fort (Ft Lewis, WA) I ended up working for the Inpsector General. I was only the 2nd young enlisted worker there and the inspectors were old school career soldiers. (Read, Gruff, macho, woodsy type with stereotypical views on who should be serving who) Anway, I was 'told' to make a pot of coffee, I tried to tell the Sergeant that I had never made coffee. His response: PVT Aguirre (I was a PFC but he was trying to prove a point), I ASKED you to make a pot of coffee, I expect you to make it.

So, little old me, who could never beat this big, old, gruff bear of a man, did as I was told. :rolleyes1 I opened up a 3 lb can of Folgers Dark Roast coffee, opened up the old fashioned percolater......then proceeded to dump 1/4 of the 3-lb can into the grinds holder w/o a filter. :scared1:

I then hightailed it out of there for a report session. Do you know that not one word was ever said to me nor was I ever asked to make a pot of coffee ever again. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I did volunteer to make it one more time but that was several weeks later and I was graciously denied. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

To this day, I wonder if I made the coffee too weak? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes I agree, it was a moment of weakness, I was young, I needed the money, I feel so asahmed now, i want the photos and posts back.

Said very piously:

Now is a good time to relect on your sins and realize and point out to kids why you mustn't act in haste - your actions now dictate the future and you never know when you will be "regretful" of your past actions.

NOR BE REMINDED OF THEM EITHER! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Morning everyone!

Well, I finally broken down & joined a gym yesterday. Actually, all three of us have joined the gym, and I think it will help that Kelly & I will be working together. It is way past time that I get back into shape, and even though I KNOW I won't be at my ideal weight at the cruise... at least I'll be on the path to being healthier. :woohoo:

Mary Jo - I found that this is a little more successful then going alone. I know that mnay join gyms with friends and family. But as I seem to be the only one with my kind of schedule, thing never erally took off.

At the end of Feb beg of March, DD14 was 173 lbs and growing. She was a overweight for her age but everyone always told me that she'd outgrow it. It took the girls in school excluding here because she wasn't thin enough to jumpstart me. She joined - we got her 20 sessions and she took off. I started sessions too but didn't really take them seriously. Fast forward to about 4 months later - and DD has lost a grand total of 22 lbs. She also sprouted about 1 inch and I can now see how great she looks. I started out by doing only cardio for the first month w/o sessions. Then I started. Only recently did I start to lose weight. I have a lot of lbs to go but I can now see how determined DD was. She inspired not only myself but when DD20 realized she was gaining on her, she said - that is said and spurred her to renew her membership and really threw a fit the other day when she realized that they now weighed the same - except for the 4 inch difference in their height.

SO, maybe this route will work fantastic for you. My relationship with the girls is a bit better and my oldest even asks me to go with her now. So for me - this has been a godsend. (Here most gyms won't allow a kid to go in unless they are 13 yo to work out)

:pixidust:

Ok Gang - here it is as promised - I'm starting to play with my photobucket and just realized how to crop and resize! :headache: So I hope you'll all bear with me if I unindate you with photos of the girl and us.

OK  I admit - I'm a little embarrassed that I bragged about myself but I really felt good. Still do although my tootsies sure lodged a Major complaint today. So here is myself, DD14 and DD19 (almost 20) after all the hoopla ended.

This is really rare that we gave gotten together. This is ALSO NOT HOW I LOOK on a day-to-day basis! :rotfl2: So far from it - its hilarious.

On a funny note - here are two examples of what happened.

OK - Grads were supposed to report to classroom at 6:30. Family gets there at 6:25. She splits to classroom - we got to "Large Hall" where you are supposed to go with tickets. (10 pr fam). We walk in - all the seats are gone - I go to back of hall. Last row - ok - we snagg almost the last 5 seats. I seat on aisle seat so as to take pictures as they proceed down to Pomp and Circumstances. As we still have 1/2 hr to go - I start conversing with April's 5th grade teacher. We exchange comments on how crowded the hall is. How fast time went. Then DD's new BFF's brother sitting behind said teacher notices my camera and starts interjecting saying - nice camera - my granddad has one of those. So here we are awaiting the grads, we're all conversing, when about 5 minutes after initial exchange, DH pops his head from around me and says hi to BFF's brother. He does this: :scared1: "Your April's Mom? Are you April E*#@# 's mom? OMG! Your April's Mom." TO which teacher says - OMG! Your April's mom - I didn't even recognise you!

For some reason, I find this hilarious - here we are conversing - carrying on about our kids and BAM! They had no clue! :sad2: (secretly :rotfl2: ) So here's a look at the female side of the family! NOTICE the height difference in girls - and they are 6 yrs apart! Boy does that gets oldest DD's goat! :lmao: And that's with DD19 wearing 4 inch heels. Grad was wearing 2 inch heels. I was wearing 3 inch heels.

Blames me but what did I have to do with it? :rolleyes1 Told her to blame Grandma who's only 5' if I'm being generous - probably 4'11 inches too!

Ok another look at a rare family photo - well not so rare anymore - DS ALWAYS refused to take photos. Now - that's no longer a problem! :)

Here is the new and improved Eeyorelvr10's family!

Please keep in mind that at the stroke of midnight - I promptly pulled a Cinderella and POOFED pixiedust: into my normal-looking self. :lmao:

Lisa - can you use this for family photos? I'll PM it to you if you want.

What you say here is very encouraging. I know that I will be more motivated working out with my dd. We really need to do it, and it is past the time for me to lose weight & get back into shape (I was at one time in my life). Today we went for our 'orientation,' which really turned into a first-time workout session. My dd, Kelly, was highly amused at my efforts, but it's friendly amusement, so I can take it (I'd be amused, too). Here's to a healthier us.

Ok - here is a shot of DD's old ex-BFF - they parted ways at the beginning of 2006. She 'grew up' a bit faster than DD (read: became boy-crazy) and since I berate on the evils of boys (sorry men ;) but you do have a way of distracting us sometimes :rotfl2: ) and the importance of school - DD knows best than to harbor feelings of wanton passion and friendship with the opposite gender. :lmao:

I'm so glad that they were able to make up enough to talk. Things will never be the same but I used to love taking their picture! Both hail from the same background and same style of childrearing. Both are Mexican and yet look at the difference! We used to love it when April would break out in Spanish and translate for BFF. She speaks it too but I guess you had to be a teen to understand the peals of laughter! :) They used to spend many a weekend at each other's houses for about 6 years until Mother Nature happened along. All in all, DD realizes that things were for the best and life goes on. She has since come to terms and realizes that things are better as they are.

Sorry to bombard everyone with these pictures but its Saturday night and no one is on and I'm bored!

Wow you all look so beautiful! What a great pic this is, & the one with your ds, too. These pics are definitely worth framing. :)

I'm sure that the reactions you had were well worth the prep today. :goodvibes

MARY JO! :wave2: MJ - I was getting so bored and resorted to posting pictures of the girl.
