Hi all!! I'm new over here on this board. I'm normally just on the Weddings board but I thought I'd come over and say Hello since I will be traveling on the 11-night cruise on July 28. This is my first Disney cruise so I'm really looking forward to it!!

Any "must sees" or tips for my first Disney cruise??

Your going to have a blast. One of our regular posters is just in the process of planning a wedding shower. Mayhaps you can give her some encouragement that things will be all good?

Anyway, lots of things to read about - you may want to start by going to page 1 and reading a post by ANDREWDEREKUK - he's gots lots of wonderful information posted there.

We are also graciously asking that (since I am so lame with names) people please either sign the names or put it in the siggie line so that we can become more familiar with it. Just a first name - nickname - just something to help you become more like family that much faster.

Can I assume you just got married recently? If you did - CONGRATS!

I actually havent gotten married yet! Our wedding date is next April and we're getting married at WDW So I dont have too much wedding shower experience yet but I'm sure hers will be delightful!

It's a party for the bride before the wedding. Usually a women only type thing. We play games, eat and give gifts to the bride.

I'm a bit sad - I just realised or read that the new deck party (the one with the lights) is scheduled to be when we are in Villefranche. But thats when most of us (well a few) are going on the Evening casino excursion.

You would have thought DCL would have chosen another night when there is not a late excursion going on

Helen, I agree - that was not a well thought out decision by DCL- I wonder how they decide, I would think that t would have realized this, so I wonder why they still planned it then, there must be some sort of explanation???

Please look for yourself in the list below - if you do not have a tagline listed, it is because you need to post so i can see it. Or, pm me with it. Also, there are many listed below that have only posted once or twice, and may not be on our cruise. If they don't speak up now, I will not include them. If we want to put this into a design, which is doable, I need to know who all to include. I also need to know which is your favorite. Once I have the master list, I will start putting it into a shape. I hope to use something cute, like a mickey head shape inbetween each one. I will save it as a word doc, and try to post it. then we can either have someone commision this, or we can each print it out ourselves and use iron-ons.

I think it would be a MUCH shorter list if you asked who is NOT trying to lose weight before the cruise ( excluding all the men, who think they look like Brad Pitt at all times). As I eat my chocolate covered macadamia nuts and wonder why the scale is not moving down????

Well, I'm certainly no Brad Pitt. However, I am doing something completely new on this trip - booked some time with a personal trainer. This, despite the fact that I find gyms & excercise to be deadly boring. I figuring starting the cruise by being yelled at by someone who probably does look like Brad Pitt (or Barbie, if a woman), will be, at the very least, entertaining.

You know, we're all assuming that the schedule won't change between cruises. Do we know this for a fact?

One of my friends on the Passporter Boards (Am I allowed to say that ???) has bought me home a Kids Navigator from the 11 night Med cruise that's just finished. She's going to mail it out to me early next week so I'll try and post it up here if I can so that the kids can start their planning as well. I'll probably get Josh to post it into the Tween/Teen forum as well.
