Thx, that's one of the parts that I'm worried about..........

Don't worry, it will be a breeze. Most people feel very cold after surgery, and shake. You are not actually cold but your mind thinks you are. I am certianly one of those people. I let them know about this before I go in. And that I will desire a lot of blankets, and if possible, to curl up into the fetal position. For whatever reason, that helps me.

I also like to take a blanket, just one, and pull it over my head to close out all light. I can be sensitive to light, at any time not just after surgery, but it is even worse then. In fact, I am so sensitive that I must wear sunglasses when out in the sun or under bright lights.

Congrats on the graduation and sorry about the "dance scare!" - DL5 My girls used to do that too!!:dance3:

See you later, I'm going for a drink -Will check in before I go to bed ;)
Sounds like fun - oh, it's only 2:20 here - probably should wait a bit.

I've been dying to know, who's picture do you have by your name?:confused3

Ok - just loaded the machine so I have 10 minutes before the next cycle.

You are describing me to a T. Last August just before I went in for Gallbladder I told the Drs that I get nauseous and throw up. Along with cold and light sensations, they gave me a wonderful shot that knocked the nausea out and helped with the blankets but DH reminded the recovery room and they had lots of warm blankets on me when I got out - I was the 2nd one in the operating room but the last to check out of the hospital 12 hrs later. Go figure. I now cary socks and a eye patch for the light. I get funny looks but hey - it works for me. :thumbsup2

:offtopic:
I've used ticker factory for the vacation countdown. It only does days. And I saw on another site a countdown that does it down to the second. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get one of those? And are they supported by disboard?

thanks for any help

Carrie

Great ideas. wish I thought of that when they pulled my gallbladder.

I do have to say though, I had heart surgery, where I was only sleeping heavily. When it was all done, no side-affects. They told me it was an option to do any surgery that way (or at least the minor stuff).

They think they might need to pull my thyroid too. I hope not, but if it becomes inevitable, I will bring an eye patch for sure.

You'll be fine, just think your waking up from a snooze on deck 9 - listen for the sound of the ocean.

In march when I was going under I lay and closed my eyes and imagined I was on Serenity Bay, I was convinced I could her the sea as I cam round
Thx for the tips..........the best thing for me will be to book onboard for next summer!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: My problem is that I REALLY WANT TO GO BACK TO CC and next summer it's just the 4-day trip with the CCx2...I'd rather go for a week! Oh well, maybe we should do WDW with it?!

Your pics to CC were wonderful........thx again for posting them!!:cloud9:

Yippee - DH just called - he's taking me out for lunch - so I'm off - he'll be here in 10 minutes. I'm so spoiled. But nice- really I am. Just ask all my friends.! Later all - be nice and don't get too far ahead. You know I'll just have to multi-quote then and there's a title that Andrew is winning at lately. What's your record Andrew?

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Starting trouble - :sad2:  I'm not bad - I'm just 'written' that way. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Congratulations on DS's graduation.

Thanks Wendyand Anna. We're really proud. Although long, it was a nice graduation. Went out to lunch with the family and now trying to catch up what I missed.
