: Hi Carrie - when I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA., one long weekend, went out on a lark and :drive: down. We passed Sacramento at 7 am and got down here about 6-7 hrs later. I wasn't driving - I get :scared: once I go past 80.

So I'm with you. As an added thought - we figured out that with an AP - it pays itself off on the 5th visit. So if you don't visit much - that's a lot of $ to spend. Which as I mentioned, the ::MickeyMo will figure out how to get anyway.

He just socked me for the DVC portion. AND I LIVE HERE! :headache: :headache: :headache: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Nope - didn't realize it - but YEAH!!!!!!! I do now. Have you posted there yet? Crazy isn't it? :rotfl:

No probl! Love to give ideas. When in 2005 did you go? We went as a family on the July 23-30 one.

Lyn - I will forever call you Lynn now -so hope you don't mind - just let me know if you want your whole DIS name quoted. Can't promise - but I'll try! :thumbsup2

Of course you can call me Lynn my DIS name was very unimaginative because I didn't really realise what I was doing when I signed up.

Thanks Laura, for posting the method for checking numbers of posts, I thought Andrew had a pen and paper and some sort of tally chart next to his computer

:ssst: want to hear something funny? I thought so too or at least this: :surfweb: I was going  thinking - how do these people do it? On our other thread - a tally count takes up the whole page! :faint:

So don't feel bad - just hope it was coherent enough to follow. - You never know with me - especially after you all saw that insane page post I did. :rotfl2:

Really - that is not an indication of me - I am really  in person. Really - until you get to know me - :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Darn - I just discovered this one: :tiptoe: :headache: :headache: :headache:

We were on the sailing after you 30th July,
It's where I met Joann and her family, there were another 4 families on that sailing and we've all kept in touch, they've met several times but obviously we can't but when we went to WDW in Oct 2006 we had a stopover in NYC and one of the families put us up and Joann and another family came to the city to meet up with us it was lots of fun!!

Thanks Laura for telling me how to check the post count, I thought there must be an easy answer I couldn't believe folks were sad enough to sit and count everyones posts

I wondered about that for a long time too. I thought maybe they knew someone who works in the IT dept and they were running a query for them and then emailing it.

We did the mex 7 day in 2005, we spent the week before in LA and DL, then a week post cruise driving up the coast to San Francisco

We're looking for ideas for a week before this one in 2008, so all you west coasters if you have any ideas let me know.

As for things to do when you come out to CA - Did you know that the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas are very close? You could actually drive there, or catch a hopper flight from any of the airports down there.

You already did the drive up the coast, and the drive up inland isn't that pretty. But if you can stand it, you can drive north a while, out of the SoCal basin, and then Yosemite isn't that far away. We actually went their for our first time on Mother's Day. hard to believe I live 1.5 hours from the Hwy 120 gate, and have never been there in my life.

Or...You could make it all the way to Lake Tahoe in one day driving from SoCal. It's a beautiful lake. I grew up in Sacramento, and would go up there all the time. I remember all kinds of myths about the lake from when i was a kid. Like, they aren't exactly sure how deep it is, mainly because they think it is the mouth of a volcano. Supposedly during the Ice Age it filled with ICE, and when everything melted, it left the lake. that last part is actually true, but I think they did find the bottom recently. Another fun tail, Tahoe has it's own, less known, version of Nessie. And, one myth has it that the reason you can never see one or the other is that Loch Ness and Lake Tahoe are connected and that this mystical creature wanders between the two lakes.

OK - i swear I wont read or post for a while.

Otherwise this will be my fate.
:surfweb::coffee::coffee::surfweb: :coffee: :coffee: :surfweb:

Oh yeah - Laura, forgot to tell you. I have the kids and my hubby doing :laundy: :cheer2:

When we meet - I'll tell you my e-mail account name. It too is unimaginative. The Plus side to that - is that its very easy to remember when on holiday! :rotfl2: Convenient to send an e-mail as one of my friends on Cozumel did cuz they could only remember my name!

There is always an up side to every coin right? :thumbsup2

And with that - I am off for a while - DD is getting

Later all

I thought about doing 47 posts in a row when I was the only one on the boards...but figured that would be a little much. After seeing how the pirate was obtained however I would have been PERFECTLY in line to do it so it seems :rotfl2:

Darn so much to quote - but REALLY - I have to go - will respond to above quotes when I get back - late for me

But AURORA - I too have never been to Yosemite or Sequoia - how sad am I? :sad2:

OK TAG Fairy - please ignore that one. I am NOT sad really - I'm not!

Do you know what? I thought about it at 53 too. We are all getting very sneaky on this board at least you and I can hold our heads up and say we did the right thing......unlike some others who shall remain nameless:woohoo:

Kayla--

Just wanted to let you know I sent you money for four lanyards & reels. Let know if you got everything okay. Thanks for all of your hard work!:woohoo:

Carrie
Thanks for the great ideas hadn't thought of Tahoe that might be nice, or Yosemite.
I wonder if Andrew and family are doing anything pre cruise

Anyway I must go to bed now and you must work:teacher:
that's my headteacher voice which brooks no dissent so now you have to stop procrastinating and work

If you want to see the irony in my last post the visit post 66 on this thread and read the final paragraph:rotfl: :rotfl:
Good Night Folks

I am having a MRI Brain scan tomorrow, to look into the reason for the headaches, they are still around. Its basically elimination of all of the possibilities.

BP is still a little above average, but has come down and should not now be a reason by itself for headaches.

.

Good luck Andrew for tomorrow
;)

My oh my. I'm gone for about 3 hours and look at all the silly business!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I can't

ohh just had to post one more for 800

Lynn what are you still doing up???

I just got back from the concert - It was really good.

I suppose I'd better think about bed as Im going back to work tomorrow. (At least I dont start till 12pm)

Well done on 800

Helen x
