Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent all day yesterday in the car. Drove over 700 miles (round trip) for a new bike. Rode it today - very nice. I guess I'll be doing the Arthritis Ride again next year.

I got a 2007 Trek Madone 5.2 SL - full carbon, very nice. Not one of the top of the line Treks, but close to the top. A big upgrade from my steel framed Lemond.

Blade spokes with aluminum rims. probably the weakest link on the bike. but OK for now.

I don't know about fast, but it's really cool to have the current technology in frame and drivetrain.

Out of curiosity, I counted the people on the list on post #7 and then hunted through the thread for quantites on the cruisers on the list that don't have details yet....and came up with 53.

What's the average amount of DISers on a cruise?

I have no idea about average, but on the May Atlantic Repo we had over 300 signed up - with about the same number on the May 05 Panama repo and even more on the 06 Sept Wonder 11 day.

It seems to pick up closer to the sailing date.

Sorry you have to work Tom. Actually, my daughter has to go in on Monday also for her part time job. She isn't very happy either.

68 hours last week so weekend is very welcome.

Got a wall built in the basement, planned Christmas decorations, walked the pups, and got the garden tractor ready for winter.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for not checking in but have been busy and not much to tell. We have cancelled our New Years Eve trip to DL because of my 2 old dogs.

The person who lives with us can't take care of them because they are on medication and 16 years old(the dogs that is) and they are having bathroom problems. We thought that they might be put down before than but they are still plugging along so they must come first.

Also our roommate is 83 and he takes care of the dogs and cats and we have someone come in and check on him....so this is just easier this way.

When the summer comes sure the pups will be in doggie heaven at that time so there will be the cats and one dog that is 5 and a fish to take care of so it will be easier. Funny how we have him watch the pets and our friends watch him.

one of our 16 y.o dogs may live longer and if so will make arrangements at that time but we will be going on the July cruise and DL.

The weather here has been getting colder and it feels good....I love fall...well as fall as you can get for SanDiego

so how the heck is everyone else and why are there no more of us

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your DL trip.

Is anyone else planning a trip to DL during the holidays? We will be doing our usual Thanksgiving weekend trip.

I can't wait to see how the snowy castle turns out.
