July 27, 2008 West Coast Magic - 10 Years of Magical Cruising

We too have the 12/5/2009 dummy date (along with Kristi's Mom & Sister, husband & son who weren't on this cruise).

I think we are going to do the 5 day Wonder with stops in Key West, Nassau & Castaway Cay. And go to WDW prior to the cruise. We kinda wanted to wait to do a big [expensive] trip to WDW until we knew West would be able to ride 99% of the rides: The boys (DS & Nephew) will be 6 & 7 (almost 7 & 8) at that point, so they should be ok.

Okay, it's decided...kinda.

I guess I'm elected to wake up early on Tuesday.

We're going to try to book the 08/03/2010 5-day Wonder (Key West). Our backup plan is 07/20/2010, if it's significantly less than the 08/03 cruise.

I'm wondering ("wonder"ing :rotfl2: ) how quickly the Secret Porthole rooms will sell out.

So will you be doing WDW also?

Yep. We'll do a few days at WDW beforehand. Of course, we have 9 or 10 months to decide the details on that.

Sounds like fun....will you be going also on the new ship in 2011 since you are going on in 2010? WE are planning to go in 2011 and 2012.....we have a long wait:scared: :upsidedow hope I don't melt :rotfl2:

We used All Seasons to book our 2010 cruise since I didn't want to get up at 2:00 am in the morning Hawaii time.

We have the June 12, 2010 Baltics cruise. Will have to start saving for this one right now as the price is a bit    especially since we are a family of 5 and have to book 2 rooms.

Hope all are well...time to get the kids ready for school.

What?!?!? Where's your dedication??

I was up at 5am and held for 2 hours (taking a shower with the speaker phone next to me). Then I had to hang up to go to work, so I dialed in on my cell phone and had to hold another hour.

Then I realized I hadn't changed over to main dining, so I had to call back again.

That's dedication.

Jen - saw you on the 1st Baltic board, it will be good to sail with you again!

Hello to all!
Deb and are on the Dover to Barcelona repo!
We would have loved to do the Baltic - but that seemed a little steep for us.
Instead of all those days on board, were going to spend a few days in Belgium and England pre-cruise, then a day or 2 after in Barcelona.

We're taking 2009 off from cruising and headding to Arizona for spring training and some time in Sedona in March.

Hope all of you are well!
Kim

Hi All,

Hey Lynn...I did see your name and Scott on the Meet :thumbsup2 Great to have someone we know on board. The more I learn about the cruise the more exciting it gets. Sure is a big chunk of $$$$ though  But I'm sure its something the kids will always remember. So I've already started my savings account.

We were actually hoping for a Med cruise but the schedule doesn't work for us and besides, June 12, 2010 is our 17th wedding anniversary

Also, yesterday, Disney released more info on the Hawaii Resort. Maybe I'll see some of you down here one day! Here is the link:

I think that was just some confusion on the reporters part. I think they meant to say is that its the first vacation club / hotel resort not at a theme park ..... something more like the BWI and BWV type layout.

For the Baltic Cruise, I didn't even inquire about the points as we normally rent out our points to pay in cash. Now I'm kind of curious though how many points it would be.

Hi everyone,
We will be on the Repo cruise from Barcelona to Dover and then on the 1st Baltic Cruise (June 12th) too. Back-to-Back.

It is good to see that we will be sailing with many of you again. Now to start looking into excursions and other research regarding the ports.

Faith

Kewl Beans Faith, check out the thread for those cruises.

Hi everyone,
Sure wish we were joining you...it took all we had in us not to book it. WE are paying off all of our dept before we cruise again. We always pay cash for the cruises or we dont go. But still have the DVC and Home Equity that we want to get rid of.

We have no other dept except the house Mortgage....No charge card dept or anything like that...so that is good. WE want to buy more points for Hawaii DVC at least another 400....so we will have a total of 800 points and so need to pay off what we still owe on our know 400 points.

WE will be going to Disneyland however using our points there and we have annual passes without block out dates :thumbsup2 Maybe even go to WDW...that would be fun. Have to see the price however for air flight.

Billie wants to go to Hawaii not this summer but next in 2010....so we may do that. Who knows we may even go this summer if we get all paid off in time. Much cheaper than going on a cruise.

Anyway....have a great time on your cruises....I will peak in on your cruise threads and say HI! :woohoo:

Good Morning folks!

Robin - good luck with paying off and buying more points! I would hold out for Hawaii until the new DVC is done there in 2011! Who knows, maybe there will be a cruise in that direction after the new ship comes on line in 2011. Of course, if we went to Hawaii, it would be to Kona and not Oahu, the diving is better there, but the resort sounds like it will be really nice.

Jen - thanks for the link to the article about the resort in Hawaii! And good to see you on the Baltic cruise also!

Faith - good to see you have also booked the BtoB cruises!

Have a great day everyone!
