July 27, 2008 West Coast Magic - 10 Years of Magical Cruising

Howdy all,
Gee life is good! After lot's of $$$$ all 3 comps are up and running correctly and much faster thank you Amazing what a good hack can do for your computer . I am sitting outside on this beautiful sunny day near my pool in my cabbana listening to the birds drinking my coffee and best of all NO KIDS they are inside doing there thing.

Can't wait for the cruise. Have a 3 day trip coming up with my girl friends to stay at the GrandCalifornian at DL. We will not be doing DL just hanging out by the pool yelling "Hay Cabbana boy please bring me my banana margarita and walking down DTD and such. Will be using my DVC pts so feels like free all though we know in our hearts it's not.

Yum DH just brought me some bacon...yum again. The heck with the eggs. Well am going to stroll along and visit my other threads and check on the one that I started for the week before cruise that we are no longer going on but I still chatt and keep up the first page with names and info. so till later

Great bicycle weather here today. I actually had a tailwind going both ways this morning. The wind switched direction just about 2 miles before my turnaround point. Talk about being in heaven! Tailwind both ways - the only way to ride!

It's hot here in Ventura - of course that means high 70s. I hope everyone has a great 4th. I'll be on my bike - got a 50 ride scheduled.

Hot here today also....not only is it to hot to ride my bike, I'm to lazy

Will be camping in a couple weeks and will be riding my bike plenty and also being lazy....nice when you can do both

hmmmm that reminds me, I need to bring all the bikes in to be checked so I dont fly over the handle bars due to faulty brakes...OUCH

Think I also need to get my one son a new bike he has grown way to much the last year....

Hey everyone! Happy 4th. It's hot here. That means 100! It's been in thie high 90's to 100 all week so far. Not going to cool down either by the looks of it.

How does one change a thread's title after it has been going for a while?

I ask because we might as well start a "10 years of Wonderful Cruising" thread. We'll need to change the title once we know the date that the relevant cruise starts.

The person that creates the thread sets the title and can modify the title at anytime. So you could create the thread for the wonder right now if you really wanted to and add the dates later. It seem a little early though.

WOW ken, I'm lucky if I can ride my bike 3 miles...
I'm in shape mind you, just not in bike shape... I will race you anytime on the Eliptical

So how was everyones 4th...our was GREAT!!!! we went to the park/lake for a barbacue and they have bands playing from 1-9 and lots of kids so the kids get to hang al day with soooo many of there friends, there were at least 1,000 kids and adults at the park (our side of the lake) and we partied all day playing frisbee,baseball, football,vollyball nad so on.


What did you all do?

We went to a symphony in the park, then to friends for a barbecue, and then we watched fireworks (which are legal here and they sell even the big ones) from our back porch. Fireworks were being shot off in all directions from us, some of them were really fancy for backyard fireworks! The dogs hid in the closet most of the night. Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Beautiful morning here in WY, nice and cool. Supposed to get pretty warm today, mid 90’s, with the standard afternoon thunder showers. Having a great sunrise.

Hey the Tour de France starts today, should be interesting. I think it will be broadcast on dish channel 151. Have followed it for years.

Thanks to my secret Mickey, Lynn is staying mum and won’t give me any hints. It really makes my day. Thanks Thanks Thanks.

Lynn should be up soon and we will get the pups for a walk while it is cool.

Enjoy the day kiddies, it’s a jungle out there.

Nice day here also - fog burned off finally. In Honor of the Tour de France I did my own Tour de Ojai today. 55 miles total - nice long 9 mile climb.

Hi Everyone...hmmmm how many of us are there on the thread anyway

to much work for me...Kudos to you Ken for all that riding

I do the same exercise for my fingers miles and miles a day ...it's called typing on the DIS... I'll race my fingers against your bike riding anyday

Today we are planning on taking out the Motorhome, well that is if Dh will get it out. He told me he was going to than said he was not than said he was ...geesh make your mind up will ya

It is hot here also today but that's okay because I love the heat. Need to take my son Bike shopping and clothes shopping. He is growing out of everything....he is so excited to go....NOT!!!...
